I received my BPAL order in about 2 weeks; I was pleasantly surprised at the delivery. The fragrance, however, was very disappointing. Just like other rose fragrances, this smelled like cheap rose oil and then eventually like soap. I didn't smell any vampiness or sexiness at all. This is like my 100th try of BPAL oils and none of them have smelled right. Unfortunately, this is just a product line not suited for my chemistry.

Admittedly, most of the scents I hate but the one scent everyone hates I seem to love. It smells like an intoxicating cinnamon. It smells sort of like the Harlot without the creepy ghost after effect. I thought this stank in the vial and then placed it on my body; it is so soothing that I could see wearing this to work everyday just to keep me happy. The smell of cedar has always calmed me and that is what this smells like. What confuses me is everyone states there is some floral somewhere. Where is the floral? I am wondering if my vial got mixed with something else. I don't smell floral at all. Edited to add: Without perfume, my skin smells sweet. If the perfume has any powder or musk, my skin sucks that out and the rest of the ingredients disappear. I looked up Frangipani and it can smell like spice. This would explain why I get only the Frangipani. My body apparently sucks up everything except now spice, powder, and musk. This probably explains why a lot of florals turn rancid on me.

I hated this scent and it does linger forever on you and in the room where the vial is opened. This scent was awful.

Rose Red! I received an imp of this yesterday from Orodemniades. Here is the review of a ROSE LOVER in person and in the form of perfumes: 1. In the vial: a medicine like rose. I really don't like the smell. 2. One hour later: I placed it on the inside of my elbow (the true test area for me and a fragrance). As I typed, the scent floated up towards my nose and all around me; I was in love. Unfortunately, whenever I put my nose to my arm, I still could smell the medicine. 3. Three hours later (bedtime): The scent still floats all around me so I put it on for bed to give it the staying power test. About 4 hours later, I could no longer smell it on my skin but at 11:00 a.m., the smell is still on my bra and comforter. The smell on the body is rose that has been drenched in cherry wine. The smell is delicious and mouth watering. On the clothing items, it smells like STELLA by Stella McCarthy before that scent dries down and become horrible; i.e. this smells like a mysterious rose scent. 4. Conclusion: I really wish this was a fragrance still being made. I think I would seriously considering buying a big bottle and just making sure that some of the scent rubbed off on my clothes so that I could smell it all day. ADDED Sept. 25: Rose Red turned out to not be for me. I couldn't stand all the greens in it.

Hi, I am looking for a long lasting (at least 8 hour) fresh rose scented fragrance as the main note and some other things fluttering in the background. I didn't like the 2-5-7 fragrance and have found that many rose scents are either too green, too powdery or not rosy enough. I would like a fresh rose or floral scent that smells beautiful and can be smelled all day. In today's market, I know that is a lot to ask but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with the above review. On me, the roses smell like they are alcoholics This is not a bad smell--just an odd smell. First, it starts out medicinal, then, it goes alcoholic, and then it goes to nothing. This is not a bad product for me, just not an impressive one. Update: after 4 hours, the alcholic smell goes rancid and I start to smell musty. I definitely can't wear this fragrance.
