LOL @ 'like Black Rose on Prozac!' I really wanted to like Blood Rose so badly, but when I first applied it all I could smell was a hefty overdose of the red wine and dragon's blood resin. It was so overbearing it made my throght tickle! The rose did come later on, bursting head on- but along with the other prominant notes of the dragon's blood it proved simply too heady and rich for me! I can however, appreciate how many people love it as the choice of ingredients compliment each other so well.

For some reason, this reminds me of Persephone and It’s because they both share the same ‘bite’ like what persephone does because it contain pomegrante. I’m guessing it’s the ‘eerie brightness’ to it which makes the smell stand out when once applied. It does take a long time for it to gradually tone down and now I can just detect the darker notes of oak and cyprus. It also smells like moss. Infact it reminds me of a dark wood and just after it has rained, the plants and wood are damp and then you see the sun streaming in through the trees leaves and of the remaining raindrops about to evaporate. It has an odd sweetness to it aswell, but overall this is fragrance is quite boring so you can take it or leave it.

Another great violet blend. Really sweet with the vanilla and the gardenia brings out a mechanized zing to the blend which I find helps considerably in lasting performance as it lingers for ages. It’s such a unique smell and unlike Nocturne that is supposed to be dreamy, this is more like the opposite. It’s daring and attention seeking bursting with ‘hey look at me! Sniff me I smell terrific’. I found it charming, very pretty and slightly innocent hiding away from the brash boldness. Definitely something which I will enjoy wearing.

I found it smelling of bitter hazelnut. When I put some on my skin it mellowed down a little into a softer nutty-old ladies scent. I could detect no chocolate....so I am (pardon the pun) bitterly disappointed. I'll try it on another day though to see if the chocolate smell develops, I probably didn't keep it on for long enough for it to develop.

In the bottle: Lemony. But something else...(you know what it is but your brain can't register it!) On Skin: I held my arm up to my Mom and she said it so lemony it could wake someone up from a coma. I thought it was really fresh but lacked the zing like normal lemons do, it's more like a subdued lemon rind. I *think* I can detect some tea, there's something in this which makes it smell like sweat!....and i'm sure it's not me! but it makes it even better. This scent is OLD. I mean 16th century old. Imagine walking into an open countryside bar and ordering drinks from an oak beam table. That's Severin. There's something inside me which is telling me i've smelt this before. It's truly captivating and makes me feel weird like I want to surrender and let love take over...! lol- bizarre! I hope you don't think i'm crazy, but I belive that I once had a past life...and this is exactly what it smelt like. God.

This is such a happy lift me up scent! Very crisp, aquatic and green it's like being transported back to Old Amsterdam beside the Tulips and windmills and seeing girls with their hair plaited wearing clogs! There is something oddly familiar about the freshness about it. It smells so innocent and pure. It does take you back in time and helps visualise calm running waters and lush green fields. I want to wear this anyday everyday! it really gives you a buzz.

I'm wearing Dove's heart today. In the bottle it smells very strong something like Anais Anais perfume, and I was put off by that but it does smell better once applied. The fragranced quickly mellowed down to a soft floral scent, however I still think it smells like a familiar brand of woman's perfume. I get the aquatic notes coming through and flowers....perhaps lillies? i'm guessing. I can't get violet though...it smells dreamy and so sad. It's like a person has just left you with their fragrance to remember them by. Infact it reminds me of what my mum used to smell like. It smells posh, like you would want to wear it for going out. It smells like a sophisticated older women- so it's not really me but saying that, I could get quite partial to this becuase I feel protected with this beautiful scent. hmmmmm still pondering on it!

I don't really find this sexual or commanding at all! More joyful and playful, in the bottle it smells herbal/soapy and I thought I could smell a teeny bit of garlic to it. On skin it takes ages to tone down. I liked it most 3-4 hours after application becuase of the softness. It made me feel relaxed and carefree. It's a scent that I usualy would not go for as I like more sweet blends, although this isn't sweet I could feel a sort of freshness about it like some sort of herbal handwash or shampoo. It's weird.... yet wonderful.

The Raven is the fist scent I wanted to try and when my order came I put some on right away. First applied: Stinks to high heaven of those parma violet sweets. It has a very disctinct sweet smell of violets. On skin: It quickly toned down to a darker and muskier smell, slightly smoky I thought too. I can detect the violet as it smells just like Lush's Bathos bar, however was disappointed not to get the neroli. Overall, I think its OK- nice if you fancy smelling like sweet dark violets, but I found that my skin gobbled up the fragrance really quick! Now it's beggining to fade- but I applied this late afternoon after a busy day, so I did feel not as fresh as I would've done. Wearing this I feel mysterious and a sort of proctectiveness....sexy too. It's interesting though- but i'm not crazy over it.
