2013 version fresh from the Lab. I have some Skadi! Finally! The much loved, fabled Skadi! Gorgeous. Minty, cool, piney goodness.
-
In the bottle: Almonds predominantly. On wet: Almond buttercream On drydown: It morphs! ALmonds, sweet buttercream, baking spices. Overall I love this! Can see me wearing it all through the holidays and winter.
-
This is my summer scent. It's absolutely lovely. Reminds me EXACTLY of lying in the grass when I was a little girl, with a fist full of freshly picked sweet smelling dandelions.
-
Yep, violets and rose. It's a nice combo. I'm not a fan of rose on its own but this is nice. It dries down to a dusty, woody rose thing on me.
-
It's a lovely sweetened patchouli on me. Earthy and sexy. YUMMY. And I HEART my lovely fairy!
-
At first it's a peppermint blast! Then, it turns into a refreshing scent full of citrus and that spike of peppermint will jolt you every now and again. It really does what it's called, it's a good wake-me-up scent.

Right in the bottle it smelled like delicious fresh from the oven vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting! It didn't morph all that much on drydown and wear, either. I still smell delicious. In fact, it's so good, I want to eat my arm! But instead of doing that I will go make a batch of cupcakes to satiate this craving for them I have all the sudden!

Baby sweetness and a touch of brimstone. In The Bottle: Baby Powder! On Wet: Baby powder with a flash of heat underneath... the diabolical element? Drydown: Actually this does blend to a really good match for Chanel No. 5. I really like this one!
-
In bottle: Fudge. Creamy yummy fudge. On wet: Same. Lovely fudgy goodness. On Drydown: I get a slight vanilla undertone here. I am a chocolate lover full stop and this one is one of my favorite chocolate blends.
-
In the bottle: Very sweet. I was worried that it might be TOO sweet. On wet: Lemons! Like sticky lemon candy. But there's an underlying green kick that rears up. The hemlock. But only just for a few minutes and it's what keeps the scent from being so sweet as to drift over into cloying. On drydown: Yummy. Like, I want to eat my own arm! Pure lemon meringue pie. Then as I wear it even longer it turns more marshmallowy. So yummy, the foody scent lover in me is very happy.

In the vial: Peachy floral On wet: Less peach all... ROSE. I amp roses though. On drydown: Didn't last more than an hour before it just got very powdery. Overall not bottle worthy for me.

In the bottle: A sweet, fruity musk. On Wet: Mmmmm.... I really like the way this smells on! The mango's sweetness is still there but it's brought down just a bit by the musk. The tomato is there, a slight bitterness, and yes it is more like sniffing a tomato leaf than cutting a tomato open. On Drydown: Even nicer! The notes all blended beautifully on me, and... wow this is delicious! I'm having a hard time dragging my nose away from my wrist!

The 2011 version is my first bottle of teh SMUT. And I *~heart~* it. In the bottle: Sweet, sugary musk On wet: A warm boozyness kicks in. On Drydown: Booze backs off just a little and mixes in with the musks. Mmmmmm... Oh Em Gee, I'm in love.

In the Vial: The lemon verbena is strong. It's almost all I smell. On Wet: The lemon is still strong, but there's the tea and honey playing just underneath. Sadly I am not sensing the anise. On Drydown: The lemon verbena calms down to a perfect lemon/honey tea. That Darjeeling Tea note is wonderful! I need to get a bottle to have for summertime wear before it's gone. I really enjoy this one!

In The Bottle: Foody, spicy, orange-y On Wet: Same, but a little pine is peeking through On Drydown: Just scrumptious. Just like Christmas SHOULD smell. I'm getting the lovely foody notes, the spices and the pine and berry in a merry dance.

Just got this one yesterday and am wearing it now. Very sweet, all about the marshmallow in the bottle and first on. Upon drydown I'm getting a little more sappy-green underneath. I love this one, it's just a fun one. Reminds me of my favorite buttercream candle.

Just wonderful!! If this isn't sunshine in a bottle I don't know what is. It's just such a happy, golden scent! No notes pop on me... they come out to play at intervals, intermingling, wafting...something different every time I sniff. The honey here is gorgeous. Overall this blend makes me feel summery and pretty.

DCXXIII (623) - Keep in mind I'm horrible at picking out notes. This one in the bottle is really fruity, almost cherry-almond, but with a kick of spiciness underneath. Put a drop on my wrist, and let it dry down a bit. Sweeter now, even. Really fruity but now there's something floral floating there too. Not nearly as spicy as in the bottle. I still really get cherry-almond out of it, but with a wafting soft floral. Like I said I'm horrible at notes. LOL! Take that off my wrist and dab the next: DXXIV (624) - This one I like the best of the two. In the bottle, citrusy? Almost reminds me of Lolita but more flowery. On the wrist. This dried all the way down now to something quite soothing and comforting. Quite hard to describe. Not as citrusy now as spicy-floral? Just really really cool. Close to the skin. This is NIIIICE!

In the bottle: Yum. Just. YUM. Buttercream. Vanilla. On wet: Still sweet buttercream, but there's the sandalwood peeking in a little giving it an interesting texture. On drydown: Oh yes!!!! Still sweet vanilla. How I love vanilla. The sandalwood is just enough to keep it from being too sweet. Overall: Pretty good throw on me, just lovely. Too bad it disappears after an hour or two. I never did detect any saffron on me, just that awesome vanilla-sandalwood.

I keep coming back to this thread. I've learned so much. I love my lonely little imp of Oisin for example and always pronounced it, for lack of knowledge, like "poison" with out the 'p'. Now I know how to really pronounce it! And on some I was pretty close, but on others again WAY off the mark. LOL!! Thank you to those who've helped out! And I prounounce it BEE-PAL. Mostly though, out loud I will say "Black Phoenix".

Well... moon child that I am how could I pass up Luna? Finally got around to a review. In the bottle: Fruity - floral. I can't tell what fruit but it's sweet, people who've reviewed this too said cherries, and yeah... it's sweet like that. Some got citrus but I just didn't... very hard to pinpoint. Almond too? On wet: That sweet fruityness amped up a tiny bit on me. VERY sweet on me. On drydown : Fruityness calmed down and is playing nicely with the floral notes. Less sweet and more floral now. I am not all that good at picking out notes but I smell jasmine? And ylang-ylang? Many others did too, so I must not be far off the mark there. I'm sure there are other florals in there too that I don't know what they are but wow the jasmine! It's pretty much heading up the pack. Overall: Pretty. Very pretty. It does remind me of a beautiful full silvery moon on a July night with the scent of night blooming Jasmine in the air. Very feminine and lovely. I like this one!

Bright, sweet and youthful, but swelling with a poisonous sexuality. Glittering heliotrope, honeysuckle, orange blossom and lemon verbena. In the imp: Lemon drops!! Yes! Sweet lemon drops. On wet: Still quite sweet and lemony, and I'm getting a little more of the orange blossom being pulled out. On drydown: It's a mingling of sweet and tart. Innocent and naughty at the same time. I am still not sure if this is "order a bottle" worthy, but I'm liking it on this first try. It has good throw on me and lasted awhile.
-
In the bottle: Cold, icy pine. On wet: Still cold, icy pine but with an underlying sweetness, almost fruity, to my nose. On drydown: I feel like I'm walking through a dense woods full of birch and pine trees with snow softly falling. I'm getting nothing floral here, on my skin. Hmmm... Overall: Lovely! A beautiful wintertime blend. This and Talvikuu are my "winter in the woods" favorites.

Got an imp of this from a decant group since I wasn't sure about what I'd think of it. In the vial: Amber and incense to my nose right off. Faaaaaint hint of something citrus-y underneath. On wet: Same, but with a hint of sweetness. Really nice! On drydown: I got nothing metallic or tangy from it at all on me, it dried to a soft, powdery incense. Overall: I like it well enough, it's nice, but I probably wouldn't be wearing it all the time. Edit: Darn typo!

OMG who said Satan's Gingersnaps? Perfect description. Biting wonderful gingery stuff! I can't elaborate more because it's all been said. This is wonderful. And here I am with a lonely imp of it... MUST have a bottle. OH YES.
