Wow, I got this bottle of Numb today from a lovely swapper (who included a tootse roll pop too, I've never had one of those before, kinda strange but pleasant) I opened the bottle only to be slapped about the face by this beautiful blend. To me this is a very Heady scent not delicate like I imagined, This is definitly white flowers, & it's kinda powdery but in a good way, like crisp freshly fallen snow. There's something very famillia to me in here but I can't remember what it's called, I want to say freesia but that's not quite it I feel. I've definitly smelled this scent before, but never as strong, perhaps a deodorant in times past? Either way this is truely gorgeous & I love it, enough to keep 2 bottles of it I think, as this coul easily be my 'everyday' perfume, especially during the summer months. It's cool & fresh & gives you a slap when you're starting to drop off to sleep in the mid-summer heat! This scent is just incredible. Wow Beth, I think you might've really outdone yourself this time! Gorgeous It's a very clean smell too. ETA Yep I now know after reading other reviews what it is I'm smelling, The smell is the old Parma Violet sweets you used to get (in England anyway) Yes exactly like Parma Violets, I always loved the smell but hated the taste, excellent all smell & no taste here! ETA again: On me this dries down to 'old ladies' perfume & I'm not so impressed any more, ALSO I'm pretty certain it doesn't have carnation in it, as I'm allergic to carnation & if this had it in I'd be bathing in calamine lotion by now, although having said that my skin did get hot when I applied just a drop (& that's all I've tried, a single drop) soooo I'm not 100% sure on this.

Wow, bright citrus Sunshine in a bottle, I love this. It makes me feel good to be alive it really does, I just got this in a panacea imp pack this morning & I was tired & fed up & not wanting to go out shopping this morning, but after applying this - wow I actually feel invigorated & ready to go out, this is amazing, it is a golden yellow sunshine colour - that's what I can smell anyway. Lovely & warm but citrusy all at the same time I'll need bottles of this.

I bought 2 bottles of this thinking I'd complete the Oblation set bar 1 bottle of Oisin, Well, I opened the bottle & could smell figs & something sickly & syrupy & something with an old musty type smell to it, so, knowing how BPAL can smell awful in the bottle I tried a very teeny tiny drop on, & OH MY GOD it's soooooo strong & overpowering, I immediately wanted to run to the bathroom and get it off, but I thought no, I should give it a proper try, So I left it on, An couple of hours later all I can smell is Cubeb, which is very peppery & dark, & there's still a sweet syrupy note in the background, I don't like this very much at all, it's far too strong & over powering I'm afraid I'm going to have to get rid of one 5ml in favour of Oisin perhaps & decant the other one out as I rather like the bottle

Eclipse – Straight from the vial it is an almond marzipan scent. Very strong & sweet with almost a caramelised background to it of burned sugar. Quite alcoholic-like too. Not a favourite of mine.

Anubis – Out of the bottle I find this to be quite a nutty scent, like you would have a bowl of mixed nuts on the table at Christmas. It’s a warm, dry scent too, with something just a tiny bit floral. I think this is a more masculine scent, fresh nuts not long off a tree sitting in a bowl on someone’s’ table. The freshness is portrayed with a slightly green scent. This could resemble something incense-y

Kali – Out of the bottle this is quite sweet, somewhat reminiscent of apple juice, with maybe a hint of white wine vinegar, giving this scent a fairly sharp edge. On application the sharp edge dulls down a lot, & the scent becomes more floral, but still strong, with an apple like scent to it. This perfume is very feminine & slightly incense-y.

Shadow – Out of the bottle this is a very herby scent. Lavender, rosemary things like that. This scent is also green with cut grass. Once applied, the herby scent dries down into a slightly more floral scent, very soft & concealing. I can smell either Ylang Ylang or perhaps Sandalwood. This is a nice soft sensual scent for candle lit evening meals or walks in the gardens.

Lady Macbeth – Out of the bottle this is a refined wine type of scent, alcoholic in the way of a good white wine. Quite sweet & juicy & yet somehow dry. A little bit fruity too. Gradually the alcoholic edge starts to lift revealing a pear like scent. I really like this perfume, perhaps a tiny spot of Lavender is used or maybe a blend of Scottish herbs?

Midnight – Out of the bottle this is a very fresh cologne type scent. It reminds me of holidays gone by & of the scent of a mans shower gel. On application the notes separate out a little, so it becomes clear that the scent is of night blooming flowers. I like this a lot, this is a deep floral scent which is nevertheless as clear as crystal too. Very fresh, a perfect summers day perfume. I think this is quite a sophisticated scent

Queen – Out of the bottle this is a rather strange scent, a little bit leathery perhaps with tobacco flower? It has a really bitter bite to it. I don’t like this scent at all. It’s very strong & over powering, It smells kind of old, Victorian perhaps. On my skin this has turned into an extremely heavy floral & is very heady. I wouldn’t like to wear this for a day.

Tintagel – supposedly the resting place of king Arthur, this scent is very “dungeons & dragon-esque” . Out of the bottle you get the scent of Dragons blood accompanied by a forest-y scent, of sweet herbs & mint, this reminds me of the old cough sweets. Once on the skin, the sweetness in sucked out a little & replaced by light florals. This is quite a fresh scent now, the scent of green hills, running rivers & lakes. The dragons blood starts to come through more strongly after about 5 minutes & brings back a kind of sweetness. A beautiful daytime perfume.

March Hare – Out of the bottle this is a sweet peachy scent. Very peaches & cream. On application this scent starts to deepen into something exciting, almost alcoholic schnapps & perhaps a little almond-y. A very fruity scent, & although peachy this is nothing like air freshener, this is very juicy. A dessert perfume.

Fenris Wolf – Out of the bottle this is quite a dark musky scent with bitter herbs, maybe a touch of rosemary & a tiny drop of Dragons blood resin too. This seems quite manly, wild & instinctual. After a couple of minutes on the skin the rosemary is very strong & all else recedes. It has a real biting edge to it.

Aeval - Out of the bottle this is quite sweet with a bitter edge. It’s a little bit violet-y , sweet herby smell. It’s rather like the scent of walking through a meadow with moss underfoot, & many, many different florals all around. You can almost smell bees making honey. Unfortunately this is another scent that starts to go quite powdery on me.

Black Cat – Out of the bottle this is a mainly sweet, minty scent, a little like those soft mints that you can buy, with just a hint of woodiness & musk. On my skin at first this smells just like the soft mints, then after a couple of minutes the musky woods come through more & the mint starts to recede a bit. Now this scent has turned just the tiniest bit floral as well. After about 5 minutes the mint has all but completely faded out, leaving just a slight edge to the scent. After 30 minutes sadly this has now turned quite powdery on me.

Dracul – Straight from the bottle the first thing I smell is eucalyptus & burned wood, also some other deep woody scents like bay, a soft pine & maybe clary sage too, although the eucalyptus is the most prominent by far. This is a very clear cool scent, which smells remotely like floor cleaner. Now on the skin the woods & trees start to come through more. This is definitely more of a men’s cologne, & smells rather like the radox men’s shower gel.

Kostnice – Out of the vial this is a very woody scent like a deep forest, which as it dries, starts to become a heavy floral possibly with a touch of Lavender. This scent to me is quite a heavy cologne & I think this is more of a mans scent. .

Bordello – This is very very sweet & floral at the same time, a little like sugared fruits & flowers. I quite like this scent. It’s sunshine in a bottle, but I wouldn’t wear it as it’s too sweet to wear it for any prolonged period. After a few minutes it loses some of it’s neurotic sweetness & starts to grow into a more adult scent. The scent as it is now reminds me of the first perfume my mother bought me. Unfortunately after just 5 minutes this scent has started to disappear on me, although now it’s getting more floral than sweet.

Golden Priapus - Straight from the bottle this smells like Olbas oil – very mentholated with eucalyptus. Almost immediately after skin application this scent starts to turn to a heavy floral although at this stage the mint is still very prominent. I think there might be a drop of Lavender in here too. After just a couple of minutes the menthol & floral scents are starting to balance out, & a woody note that smells a little like a fresh pencil starts to develop. This scent has started to turn a little sweet too. The florals & eucalyptus are really coming through now with the menthol taking a back seat but giving the scent it’s cutting edge.

Inferno – Out of the bottle this smells like slightly alcoholic Marzipan (Amaretto?) Although there is a very sharp note in there that almost burns the inside of my nose that I can’t quite grasp. As this dries a dry & rather wood-y note appears, similar to the scent of a hot sauna.

Cathode – Out of the bottle this is quite fresh but sweet at the same time, like a trebor extra strong mint, & it has quite a mintiness to it. The mint is the most prominent scent but as it starts to dry some floral tones start to come through. This scent reminds me of the old Mint Humbug sweets you used to get.

Finally I got my hands on a 5ml Pele (Thank you Apothecary's cat) Straight out of the bottle this is a fresh quite gingery scent, but at the same time very delicate. On my skin it is very soft & cottony & I cannot pick out any distinct notes in it although to say it is a little floral but very fresh almost with a sea breeze. After a few minutes of wear this scent starts to warm up a bit with the ginger coming through a bit more strongly. Sadly I don't think this scent is going to last on my skin, but maybe I'll be surprised. After about 5 minutes of wear, this scent has now deepened quite a bit & I keep getting little whiffs as I move that remind me of ginger preserve & ginger biscuits like we used to have on the table at Grandpa's. Well after an entire days wear this scent has stayed on me, although it has changed again into a fresh 'natural' scent, although due to the ginger it does have a warm depth to it. It is however still quite a light scent, so more of a daytime rather than evening perfume.

Out of the bottle the first scent that hits me is a strong eucalyptus, which on application is still quite strong but other scents strat to come through. There is something sweet almost rotting in the background & also a pine like smell strats to come through. After about 5mins you can barely smell the eucalyptus & now the overall scent is quite sweet but fresh, like a graveyard at night time with mist swirling around the stones. On me after a days wear I can hardly smell this scent at all, , but maybe it'll work better in my perfume pendant

Out of the bottle this is a beautiful scent to start with. This is the scent of cool crisp autumn days & sweet warm pumpkin pie to warm you when you come in from the chill. This is the scent also of massive leaf piles collected at the bottom of the garden. On me this dries down after a days wear to just a residual sweet pumpkin pie scent, but gorgeous perfume.

Flower Moon to me is very floral as you might expect, & mostly I like it....but.... it has an undertone of Jasmine, which personally I really dislike, if you don't like Jasmine this oil's not for you! I'm not sure I want to keep this one, we'll see... I'll update this review when I have the oil to hand.
