On me, this starts off really chocolately. Once it dries down, it settles down into something gingery and spicy mixed with the chocolate. I guess chocolate gingerbread (duh!). It fades more quickly than I'd like, but it is worth reapplying. It's a yummy holiday scent.

This is the lovechild of Blue Snowballs and a cherry slushie. Definitely reminds me of what blue candy tastes like.

I like the smell. It is definitely boozy and smells a tons like Irish cream. I don't get a lot else. I'll have to try again to see if I can find the coffee cake part. It made me hungry! Sadly, does not last a particularly long time. I wish the foodie scents lasted longer.

Wet: lots of pine. Almost Pine-Sol levels of pine Dry (10 minutes): smells like Skadi in the summer. Definitely a wood elf scent Two hours in: I keep asking what smells like hair spray. Oh, it's the perfume I'm bummed. It was lovely when it first dried, but it's morphed into something very chemically and acrid.

I really wanted to love this. I do not. It turned from a sweet, creamy marzipan smell to cheap grape juice.

It smelled like a bit of apricot over vanilla with a hint of spice in the bottle. On my skin, it smells like apricot. Just apricot.

This is definitely not a foodie, sugary scent. It's warm and rich. There's something a bit spicy or smoky underneath. Maybe that's what people are describing as sassafras? I was going to say a touch of tobacco. I really love it. Used it in the bath this morning and my bathroom still smells amazing.

I get a lot of tobacco at first, with a bit of the cardamom and underlying sweetness of the vanilla and the oudh. It settled into something warm and smoky, but doesn't have as much of a throw as I would like. I'll have to try more next time - I used about 1 1/2 spritzes (first one out was not much) rubbed into hands then into short hair. Not sure how much really made it in.

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

Dragon's Milk makes my skin burn. No idea what is causing that as I don't have that problem with any of my other oils. -
I'm getting the same foodie scent - it reminds me of buttered popcorn jelly beans. It's a shame because I really like this otherwise. I just can't get past the foodie undertone.

It's Boo. I adore it as a perfume, and I adore it as a bath oil. The only problem is that I just got a decant. I really should have gotten a whole bottle!!

This smells exactly like apple picking in the fall. The scent of the apples you are eating mixed with mud and dirt. The dirt is pretty strong on me, especially while it's wet. I'm also getting something that's not apple or dirt: it seems to be a faintly metallic scent that doesn't work particularly well on my skin. It's a pity since I really like the scent, but it doesn't agree with me.

This started off ok with mostly a light floral (rose). As it dried down, it turned more fruity and overpoweringly flower (lotus?). Something in it is making me sneeze and giving me a slight headache. I'm guessing that's the lotus because I wear other rose scents (Pink Snowball) just fine. Dried down, it's like a mix of many different floral perfumes. Just too much for me.

In bottle: almond extract. Almost overpowering almond. Wet: sweet almond. It smells like Lush Snowcake, which is one of the reasons I bought this. Dry: It's gotten softer, but retains the beautiful Snowcake smell. I wish it lasted a little longer, but I adore it.

This is my favorite BPAL scent. It dries down to a slightly sweet, slightly citrus, powdery scent that I love. Compared to other scents with the same notes, this one lasts and can be smelled farther away (throw?). My problem is that I got an imp in a trade and will run out in not too long. Is anything else similar?
-
In the imp: sweet, vanilla, floral Wet on the skin: I get mostly sandalwood and a hint of tea Dry on the skin: As it dries, I first get the vanilla and the orange, but then the florals come out. It's really lovely and soft. It's floral and sweet, but there's definitely the tea and sandalwood underneath that keep it from becoming too strong. I got this as an imp and I think I'm going to have to get a bottle of it.

I did not like this when I opened the bottle, but I tried it anyway. Good thing. On, it smells warm and creamy and a little nutty. It really smells like how Lebkuchen tastes. Personally, I think that's great because I can't eat it anymore (nut allergy). I don't get a ton of the fruit or the clove. It doesn't have a large throw and fades more quickly than I'd like on me.

In the bottle: sugar sugar sugar! Wet: I get lots of sugar and not a lot else. It's very sweet, but not in a bad way Dry: Dry it smells more like brown sugar or caramel to me. It's quite lovely and I really enjoy it. The sugar scents do very well on my skin. Looking forward to layering it with Ghoulish.

In the bottle: sweet, boozy cherries Wet: strongly cherry, sweet, and almond extract. Yum! I wish I could eat this one!! Dry: Once it dries down, I get lots of the other lovely scents: coconut, almond, cherry, and maybe saffron. I'm not sure about the saffron as I really don't know what it smells like, but there is definitely something underneath all the sweetness that is interesting and lovely. I was so excited about this scent, so I ordered a full bottle right away. It was not a mistake. I'm loving it. I love the sugars and sweetness and think I'm going to try layering it with other scents like Tiki Princess or Sugar Skull.

In the bottle: soft and floral Wet: Much more strongly floral and a bit of incense. I really wasn't sure about the scent at this point. Dry: I'm getting some of the sweetness and grass now blending with the florals. It's light and very delicate. Overall, it's a very pretty scent. I'm not entirely sure if it's for me right now, so I'm going to try it a few times and see if I change my mind. I'll post again once I decide. Edited to Add: After a few hours of wearing this, I got a massive headache. Definitely not for me, although I do think it is a pretty scent.

In the bottle: tons of fresh blackberry with a small hint of green Wet: lots of blackberry and tea - someone else likened it to Republic of Tea's Blackberry Sage tea and that's exactly what it smells like Dry: I'm still getting a lot of the berry, but also some musk and other florals I really like this combination. I wish it had a little more throw, but it's a beautiful scent. I have it as an imp and I will definitely look at getting a full bottle.

I really love this scent!! It's very light. I wasn't sure how something could smell "frothy," but that's definitely an accurate description. In the bottle: a little coconut, but also some rum scent Wet: mostly coconut, but not overly sweet or overpowering Dry: once it's dry, I still get the coconut, but also some fruit and a hint of floral. My biggest problem with this scent is that I can't really smell it except when I smell my arm, and it seems to wear off rather quickly. I wish it was a little stronger and lasted a little longer.

This is my first BPAL that I received as a gift from a friend. When I opened the package, all I could smell was smoky incense. In the bottle, I mostly smell spices, incense, and a bit of patchouli. On my skin when wet, I first smelled only the spices. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted the vanilla. After it warmed up for a bit and started to dry, I started to get the vanilla. Dry, I really get the vanilla, but it is spicy and warm. It is quite lovely. I feel very sexy wearing it.
