Smells decent in the imp, nothing very strong but I can pick out the notes. On me, however? Smoke. Or rather, SMOKE! To my nose it's old, stale cigarette smoke, although from reading the other reviews, it could also be weed. Or both. Either way, though, it's making me sick less than five minutes on, so I had to scrub my arms clean. Definitely not one I'm keeping.

In the imp: Cedar and green herbs, nothing strong; it's a very light scent. On me, wet: BAY! And maybe a little sage. It's very sharp, and the bay is almost overpowering. On me, dry: BAY! plus sage and cedar. Fortunately it seems to be fading away already (only about an hour and twenty minutes after I applied it), as I'm not reacting well to something in it. I don't get any "off" or unexpected notes when I sniff my arm, and I normally like all of the notes involved (in their original forms, anyway), but my stomach wants to turn over when I get a whiff. This is definitely going in my swap/sale pile.

In the imp: Sharp and lusty - I can pick out strawberry (smells like strawberries and cream oatmeal, which is odd), musk, and maybe amber. On me, wet: Same as in the imp, plus cherry. It's not a hot cherries smell (like Bastet is for me), but rather of fresh, slightly overripe cherries. On me, dry: I can pick out everything but the heliotrope (first scent with heliotrope in it, so I'm not sure what it smells like). Sexy, bawdy, sweet, everything blending well together. I love it!

Got this as a frimped tester, so it won't last too long. On me, it's dark, dry, dusty, full of incense and a nice hint of sweetness (that would probably be the Snake Oil). It's definitely not the best BPAL scent ever, to me, but it's growing on me as a scent. I won't try to hunt down a bottle of this, but I think I'm going to end up wishing I'd gotten a full imp/decant.

In the imp: Eucalyptus! Plus a bit of pine. On me, wet: The pine is a bit stronger, and there's a hint of sweetness that must be the orange. On me, dry: The eucalyptus and pine mellow out, but unfortunately so does the orange - I can barely detect it after an hour or two. Overall: There's so much potential here. It is definitely a wake-up scent, and I think would be wonderful around Christmas time. I'll keep the imp, but I may end up using it as a room scent.

Lots of amber all over, in the imp and on me. In the imp it's sharp (but not unpleasant), whereas on me (especially once it dries) it's softer, with a slight sweetness that I'm guessing are the florals, and a hint of spice - maybe the myrtle? This is my first scent with myrtle in it, so I'm not sure how it smells. It doesn't last all day, but it sure smells nice while it does! Definitely a keeper.

In the imp: Mmmm, musky and sweet. Strong, but not overwhelming. On me, wet: Musky and sweet, like in the imp, but with a floral note as well. Not bad, but not great. On me, dry: The floral note has gone, leaving a nice scent of musk, honey/caramel (can't distinguish between the two), and spice - probably the unguents. I almost think this is a risky scent for me, but somehow it works. Overall: It doesn't smell great wet, but once it dries it turns out well. I probably won't get a bottle of this, but I'm keeping the imp!

This is good to know, thanks! I don't have any bottles yet, only imps, but this will be very helpful for when I do have the money for bottles.

In the imp: Mmmm, hot and dusty! Definitely smelling the cedarwood, musk, and spices. Wet, on me: Pretty much the same as in the imp, with maybe a hint of rose. Dry, on me: Warm, sensual, spicy, dusty. Wonderful! I can definitely smell the rose, but it doesn't overpower any of the other notes - it's very nice (I'm not a fan of strong rose notes). This is definitely a keeper!

In the imp: Very strong, almost pure floral. Reminds me of commercial perfumes you might find at Wal-Mart. Wet: Strong floral, with a bit of honeysuckle and something that might be spice. Dry: It dries to Ivory unscented soap, with maybe a hint of honeysuckle, but not really. Overall: I'm guessing it's the jasmine that smells like Ivory, based on some of the other reviews. Ivory unscented isn't a bad smell, necessarily, but it's not something I want to smell like all day. And the really strong floral is a turn-off, as well.

In the imp: Coffee and Bailey's! No note of dusty books or wood halls. Smells delicious. Wet: Basically the same as in the imp, coffee and Bailey's. (Note that I'm not familiar with the smell of whiskey and cream, so that could be the actual note, and I'm just interpreting it as Bailey's.) Dry: The Irish coffee has mellowed - it's still definitely there, but somehow softer. A good hint of dusty books definitely comes through. YUM! Overall: This smells amazing and lasts for hours. It's going on my bottle list!

Thanks! I'm not entirely sure what friending does, either, but I figure it can't hurt. I actually just requested and mailed out some scents through the Wishing Depot - it's fun!

This is historychick49 on LJ - you got me interested in BPAL! Mind if I friend you? Have you tried Miskatonic University? It's basically Irish coffee plus dusty books; I think you'd like it.
