  1. This is what i have been waiting for: a ROSE hairgloss! Yes, initially it smells like Rose Red with her dewy petals and greenery (which i love) but, after i blow dry, it becomes a full, lush dewy rose with no sharpness anywhere and i must have looked like a freak huffing my hair all day. I used 6 sprays on my shoulder blade length hair and the scent lasted all day and i can still smell it this morning. Folks, if you have been looking for a rose to put in your hair to layer with all the rose scents, give this a whirl...yes, even if Rose Red perfume didn't work on your skin. This is perfection and i am so thrilled to have it!

  2. I don't know how to describe this and probably shouldn't write a review but this is fabulous and has become a new favorite. I don't understand: i don't like BPALs lily of the valley or honeyed anything and i don't smell any of the listed notes. All i know is that i adore this perfume and hope my decant isn't a fluke!

ETA that the decant wasn't a fluke, my bottles smell amazing too :-)

  3. Smells like the best festive holiday candle yet! I smell cranberry, cider(?!) and greenery and a touch of spice. This is what i expected Samhain to resemble so i love this! This is going to layer so well with the new Fear of Christmas Trees, Snow White and a few others.

Oh, and a little goes a LONG way ;-)

  4. Please do not eat!

Got my package yesterday and immediately unwrapped this, cut the wick a tiny bit and lit.
This is one of my favorite scents and the candle does a pretty good job of releasing the scent. I let the pool form and then put it out. The wax smells stronger this morning which is good. I will light this again tonight, so glad i have this scent in candle form. It smells identical to the bath oil. :-)

  5. Huge wafts of STRAWBERRY JAM permeate the air around me and when i smell my wrists there is a chewy donut underneath that STRAWBERRY JAM. I need another bottle or ten and i hope this returns in another form next year, or the same. ;-) Perfect jelly donut.

Every time i put this on (usually at the end of the day as a comfort scent) i am so thankful i bought a bottle. This scent truly makes me happy!

  6. Gingerbread with red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.

Imagine a patchouli-lite Lust where the ylang ylang is candied and the red musk is sugared. Add a shot of gingerbread and that is what the dry down smells like to me. In the bottle i smelled fresh Lust and a hint of gingerbread but once on, i had to keep sniffing (puzzled) because it doesn't smell like Lust to me...it smells gorgeous - perfumey gingerbread - but it doesn't smell like my beloved Lust. Huh. I cannot wait to see what some age does here, this should be some ride.

  7. This is one of the most amazing oils i have ever smelled. I love Sin, but this is a less patchouli/sandalwood Sin...so the Cinnamon and Amber mix with the gingerbread in the most wonderful way. If you love Sin and gingerbread, this is a no brainer. If you thought the patchouli or sandalwood were too much in Sin, give this one a whirl. Multiple bottles needed.

  8. Seems like everyone gets something different from this so I needed to try it. I get Magnolia. Straight up Magnolia. And I love it. Shut the front door - found another floral! :) I wonder what my bottle will smell like, LOL!

ETA: it may actually be gardenia...my bottle is amazing. :-)

  9. I love this. Musky, slightly sweet (must be the currant?) leaves. Beautiful.

Editing because this has morphed and settled! Oh this is so beautiful. Like most of us in the Pacific NW I am pretty much done with 90° weather and have started wearing my Autumn favorites. There was a slight chill in the air this morning and i ran straight to this oil. It made me want to curl up with a book under a tree in 60's temps! Wishful thinking but this perfume is snuggly, soft and i love it. I hope i was smart enough to buy a backup...if not, i hope we see it with Weenies this year! Sandalwood/vanilla/leaves

  10. Oh dear. If there was no vetiver in this it would be perfect. The vetiver literally strangles poor white musk and lily who were just starting to make themselves known. Its a shame, the vetiver just doesn't behave (and it never will). Vetiver lovers rejoice!

I want to love this so badly. I can smell the perfume under the vetiver and it is heart achingly beautiful...maybe this will be the one vetiver blend i try to wear...hmmm.

  11. Beautiful grassy verbena with a hint of blueberry but only for the first 5 minutes. Weird, no lavender and the blueberry disappears almost instantly. Maybe its my decant? It is really nice but i would have enjoyed the lavender/blueberry scent in addition to the verbena and grass.

  12. Soapy lemon verbena and nag champa for the first 10 minutes and then...this morphs into such a comforting, smooth verbena-champa scent. I don't get orange blossom or myrrh but this is very nice and will be even nicer if those two notes decide to come forth. Will definitely use up my decant and may need a bottle.

  13. Sometimes when I look at my daughter, I feel like I can see the woman that shell become someday. This is a perfume for that woman, forever my daughter: frankincense, sweet myrrh, bourbon vanilla, and a hint of willowy, pale fougere.

It must be my decant but all i get from this is tea. :-(

Edited to add that it is a very beautiful tea and i would have bought a bottle if i had my decant in time. :-/

ETA: I managed to acquire a bottle after falling head over heels with my decant recently. This is not just tea. This is indescribable. Utterly beautiful and I don't even know what I'm smelling. Top 10.

  14. I'm glad to see i'm in good company here: this is the first frankincense dominant perfume that i can wear!

I love In Templum Dei. I am sitting on my couch listening to the song as i enjoy the drydown.

This is truly special- feels sacred but whimsical, if that makes sense. The frankincense is strong at first but ultimately gives way to liquidambar's spicy, vanilla-ish loveliness. I may need a third bottle of this before it sells out.

  15. Wow. I have worn Ava quite a bit since i first got my bottle and she is aging beautifully. The oil is getting thicker and my skin sucks it up somehow! But it smells SO good...expensive, shallow, beautiful, selfish and a gorgeous blend. I wish i could say that i can discern any listed notes but i can't. I guess if i REALLY try, i can tell the mandarin and almond are floating in the vanilla and the tuberose fits in nicely. Beautiful and i am glad to have my bottles.

  16. This is my favorite Pumpkin.

Wet, it is all pumpkin spice woah but dry? Delicious ginger spice tea with a hint of pumpkin...exactly what i had hoped for. I cannot stop huffing my wrists and i will be buying a backup.

Note: bpal black tea normally goes foul licorice on me but not here!!!

  17. I am SO smart...but late.

I got a decant last year...just put some on tonight and i really hope this comes back this year because woah i am smart now and will buy a bottle, or two.

This rose is everything a rose perfume should be. I love Rose Red for her bright, crisp dewy loveliness, and i love Peacock Queen for being her sexy, voluptuous older sister. Wow...this is beautiful, true velvety rose scent and i love it.
