A gossamer armor: seemingly delicate, but as strong as adamant. Opalescent vanilla-infused benzoin with silvered iris, white patchouli, mimosa blossom, and white musk. I must be smelling the florals here...must be the mimosa blossom and a touch of iris giving the blend that lift that iris gives (lovely) but I don't smell vanilla, benzoin and I might be smelling a bit of white patchouli. I'm sure with aging they will come forth, but not now, not yet. This is extremely Vernal, in my humble opinion, and I will be putting the atmo and hair gloss away until next year and am looking forward to it already. Beautiful. I wanted to edit - I sprayed this a few minutes ago and it is amazing how much different this scent is in just a week or two of settling! NOW I definitely smell a lovely combo of Iris, white musk and white patchouli with some slightly dry, spicy vanilla. Forget what I said about waiting for Spring...this will get much use now. Just as beautiful, but now the full experience.

Well, of all of the perfect things that could have landed on my erm, mailbox today!!! This is my hairgloss holy grail hghg lol! Dark, autumn fallen leaves with a subtle and clean patchouli beneath them. There goes my $$...i need a few more bottles. This should age beautifully and will layer perfectly with October, Harvest Moon '13, Devils Night, Sonnet D'Automne and other fine leafy perfumes. I love this. It is perfection: Autumn in a bottle. Reminds me of the Dead leaves and Desolation candle more than Autumn Grove atmo if that helps. :-) THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! :-)

This is gorgeous. Dry woods sweetened very slightly by the white patchouli (which smells nothing like pogestemon cablin, aka true patchouli) and vanilla. I adore white patchouli! Im excited that note is getting more and more use...i thank Tom Ford... :-)

The newest addition to my top 10. This smells like something from my childhood...and i love it. I guess the cotton translates to dryer sheet, but these would be the most fantastic dryer sheets ever made. At first all i smell is lavender (same as in the bottle) and then the bergamot and hinoki meet the lavender and pull it behind the cotton blossoms...and this is so beautiful. Im very glad to have a bottle and am contemplating another.

If Only One Knew the Right Way to Change Them

Hollywood Babylon minus the musks. Holy crap this is beautiful! Cherry/Strawberry yum...and dark, almost chewy but not musky. -
This has aged so well! Lust, with spicy cocoa...yum.

I'm also getting the plum vibe! I'm so glad to see that Gateau had already said this! I'm going through and retesting all of the imps/decants and I just retired Daya after a few years. I knew I didn't want to part with my last imp of Daya, but I also haven't reached for the imp in those few years... This is a gorgeous bright, warm, perfumey perfume - very pleasant wafts from my wrist keep reaching my nose and I keep sniffing my wrist to make sure it is really Daya...it is. If this is ever released in a more substantial size, I will definitely buy it. This is perfect for the last hurrah of Summer and into Autumn...love this.

My favorite candle of all time. I burned through two of these last year and have just brought my last one out to burn soon...well, as soon as our temps are closer to 60 instead of 90. Perfect Autumn leaves scent...very well done, and I wish this could become a hair gloss, atmo or perfume oil. I know we had Autumn Grove atmo (and I love it soooo much!) but this is different. Love it!

I can't really add much here, but I wanted to say that this is gorgeous and will get a lot of wear this Autumn! Had to add that i smell mostly rose and hay from this! I get the peach and hay immediately but the peach fades and the rose becomes more prominent. This is beautiful!

Oh dear. This is beautiful! The jasmine here reminds me of the jasmine from Pannychis, and it blends so well with the Peach and Frankincense...the Frankincense almost smells peppery to me, but only at the very beginning. Absolutely beautiful.

This is gorgeous. I get no booze from this... Not spicy, but sultry spices (a la Morocco), and a lovely, perfect peach - not too sweet, not juicy just perfect. I am so thankful to my wonderful Fairy for getting this for me!!!

I just retested my 2012 decant - I LOVE this. This is what I wanted Samhain to be - even though the notes are wildly different - and I truly hope this comes back with the update this year. Leaves, smoke, a hint of sweets...this is really something.

Flower Constancy II: An Affinity for Phlox Bath Oil
AmyO'Shields replied to puck_nc's topic in Thermae
I just used this in my bath tonight-it is lovely! Quite perfumey but on my skin, after the bath, it took on an almost sugared quality. This will layer so well with so many perfumes - i may need another bottle. Im wearing Inez with it and the waft is amazing. -
I can smell each of the listed notes, but it seems like a jumbled blend when fresh. I have a feeling this will be absolutely stunning in a few months... For some reason the cardamom tea smells like galbanum to me...very interesting. :-) im really glad to have a bottle of this and cant wait to see how it morphs :-) As a cardamom lover, im quite happy.

Dreamy, woodsy leather. When dry, i smell some rosin and sandalwood. This is a beautiful blend and reflects the character perfectly, in my opinion. So, on me, this dries down to a gorgeous soft leather on a bed of creamy, woodsy sandalwood. Beautiful, and unisex.

Red musk, saffron and a clean patchouli. This is so beautiful. I tried it when it was released and it smelled horrific on me so i put it away and retested it today - yup, beautiful.

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

I don't know about Queen of Spades, but I love Plum too and Oya is a wonderful plum...also, Bordello. I'm sure you've tried those, but they are two of my favorites and I figured I would try to help. -
I love this perfume. Sophisticated rose infused cedar on me, and i love it. Had to edit my review as i wore this last night while listening to the song. This is like the ultimate sadness...the perfume matches the music and the sentiment perfectly. Wet, this is all teak and a hint of cedar and a tiny tiny hint of rose. Dry, this morphs into a sweet, sparkling rose tinged soft cedar. WOW. I had a feeling this line would be amazing, but i had no idea how much i would end up loving these perfumes.

FIERCE MIDNIGHTS AND FAMISHING MORROWS Seven sorrows the priests give their Virgin; But thy sins, which are seventy times seven, Seven ages would fail thee to purge in, And then they would haunt thee in heaven: Fierce midnights and famishing morrows, And the loves that complete and control All the joys of the flesh, all the sorrows That wear out the soul. Black plum, wild lily, and tobacco. This is truly beautiful...the plum is dark but not "jammy" to me, the lily is deep yet pretty, the tobacco is faint but grounding. For some reason this smells really similar to oak leaves and kyphi to me which is the only reason i don't need a full bottle. Great stuff though! ETA: different enough for a full bottle...possibly two

I just got my decant and this is GORGEOUS and will be a bottle purchase as long as it doesn't sell out before Tuesday... springy and sweet...this ylang has some bite to it!

Female Beauty in Spiderweb Kimono Atmosphere Spray

Honestly I can't pick out any scent that stands alone but I smell lilac and oakmoss. This is gorgeous, my favorite of the Lupers. Reminds me of a Spring day in the mountains of S. Korea just West of Seoul. Wow. I had to buy a bottle after demolishing my decant but now I need another...or two. Spring in a bottle. I just had to come back here to restate how amazingly beautiful this is. -
Maybe my sniffer has a blind spot for BPAL Orange Blossom...? This is GORGEOUS, refreshing and makes every nerve crave Spring. White tea with a sweet Apricot on top. I love it. ETA: almost a year later, this bath oil is so beautiful and still makes me crave Spring...man, BPTP 2014 Lupers were frickin' amazing...i am sooo looking forward to this years!
-
I smell brown sugar and maybe a dark musk with some booze. I do not smell Red Musk (which I was hoping for - Smut) but this is still nice, even though it doesn't smell like Smut or Goblin lol. ETA I like this very much...it just isn't what I expected. :-)
-
This is gorgeous. Nothing harsh here, very muted spices/creamy hint of coffee but just a hint...almost like the memory of coffee. This reminds me a bit of Spanked rez minus leather and Hell of Great Heat in vibe. I cannot wait to see how this ages! ETA Lol, this smells nothing like Spanked or Hell of Great Heat to me now...what was i thinking?! The vanilla orchid, black amber and champaca are the stars when this settles down. Wet, it is all about the strange coffee bean note the Lab uses (that is somewhat harsh, perfumey and smells nothing like coffee...to me atleast) and i am glad that burns off. What a beautiful perfume this has turned into.

Creamy sugared jasmine yum. I used a drop on my skin to test the scent- this is gonna layer beautifully with Snake Oil and half of my other perfume oils! I cannot wait to try a bit of this in the bath! Gorgeous non "stinky" jasmine. :-) I tried this in the bath a few nights ago and it prompted me to slather it all over as a moisturizer (mixed with a vanilla lotion) the next day... This is some addictive stuff. I have a backup on the way and I would get a third if I could afford it. Love. Try layering some Celeste over this...it is amazing!!! ETA: layered this with La Lugubre Gondola omg yes!
