Definitely dry and white, but with an unexpected spicy twist to it that makes it a bit different from similar blends I've tried. Very nice!
-
I'm getting ROSE on initial application, and then rose and lily with some sharp greenery. Nice, but definitely not me.

One of the most subtle, yet complex, scents I've ever smelled. It's a bit more soothing than I would have assumed from the name, but it's also darkly alluring. I'll have to sit with this one a while, but I like it a great deal more than I thought I would.

GOD, Beth is good with honey scents. That said, though, the drydown did a funky sharp thing on me...I think it was the amber/teak combination that made it happen. Grr...I LOVED this at first. Locket, perhaps?
-
Extremely herbal/floral and soft on me, with a twinge of coconut...it's like the world's girliest suntan lotion. Very nice, but not necessarily me.

Thankfully, I seem to be in the minority here...this scent hates me. HAAAATES me. The rounded fruits are cut sharply by the patchouli; on my wrist it's very sharp and there's no blending. Thank goodness there are many ladies of the Grindhouse, because Dionysia and I are not getting along.

Florentine iris, red musk, mimosa, magnolia, Damascus rose, clove, and vanilla bean. Oh, this is TOTALLY the perfume of a madam. I mean that in a good way, of course. It doesn't quite work on me, though, as the florentine iris is beating me over the head, and I could swear that I smell a wisp of red wine.

I'm shocked at how much I like this! Berry scents don't often work on me, but this is lovely. I didn't know what acai smelled like, so at first I was almost thinking apple...then apple crossed with strawberry...then apple and strawberry and pearish blackberry...nope, I guess that's acai! The vanilla-sugared tea leaf stays in the background, keeping this from smelling like BBW. Really, really wonderful!

Okay, after reading the reviews here, I'm going to wait and give this one more try. Right now, I'm getting this gorgeous swirl of skin musk, resins, and sexiness with a BIG DAMN PINE TREE that will NOT leave sitting right in the middle of it. It's like being with a lover, in the heat of the moment... ... ...and then suddenly having a smiling animated Christmas tree pop its head up over the edge of the bed: "HEY! Whatcha doin'?" Perfumus interruptus.

It's funny that I'm seeing this today...I just got an imp of The Antikythera Mechanism, tried it on, and was thinking that it had a depth reminiscent of BC on me. Not an exact match by any means, but they do have something in common.
-
Wow...this is a cocoa scent that isn't horrible on me. The mandarin lends a really nice citrus kick to a deep, rich fragrance. I'm not sure that I'll get this, because it's somewhat close to a few favorites (particularly Freak Show), but it's an attractive and intriguing fragrance that I may return to again later.

Very refreshing, but with a definite sharpness that's almost astringent...I like it, but I wish it smelled a bit less pointy on me.
-
Lovely when wet, but dries with a weirdly sharp edge on me...I think it's the gardenia, which often is bad with my chemistry. Grr...I really wanted this one to work!
-
Lots of sweetness at first, but that settles down after a while into a really interesting blend...possibly an aquatic for even those who aren't sure about aquatics. When it's dry, I smell like a mermaid who has amazing shampoo. It's very fresh and clean, and will be wonderful for summer; I'm seriously debating a bottle.

Sooooo very sexy. It's a sultry, sensual aquatic, which I never would have thought possible. All hail Beth!!!
-
Green tea that's crisp and fresh, but still a little spicy at first...settles down to something like Bakeneko on me, only without the amber that made that one go all sweaty. I'm surprised at how good this is on both me and my boyfriend!

Spiced cream with sandalwood...and if I didn't know better, I'd think there was saffron here. It's like what I had wished MB: Underpants had been on me. Delicious, but not too foody; I can't stop sniffing myself!

I get the same hairspray unfortunateness at the start of this scent that many others do, but at the end it softens to a delicate tonka/grey amber/oakmoss fragrance that's really lovely. Now I just need to decide if the end result is worth the wait....

I tried an earlier version of this, and it didn't do much for me at the time, but now I've tried 2007. Wow. Just...wow. It is simultaneously warm and chilly, soft and snowy. There's vague wafts of white flowers, coconut, vanilla, and sugar that blend together into a gorgeous, indescribable whole. This is absolutely amazing, and I will be stocking up before it melts away.

On me, this smells *exactly* like a fruity pipe tobacco. It was a lovely surprise in my order, but it's not for me.

I so wanted to love this...but on me it turns to almond-jasmine BLEAH. Eventually, the drydown gets nice, but I can't suffer through the rest.

Pumpkin with benzoin, bourbon vanilla, lemon peel, neroli, blood orange, and red ginger. This goes on as a blend of pumpkin and ginger, then the vanilla comes out to play as it dries. Absolutely gorgeous.

As someone for whom amber often equals FAIL, I'm thrilled that this is very much like both Bakeneko and Pumpkin Queen, but with the dreaded amber removed. Also, I'm pleased with this year's pumpkin note in the Patch; previous patches have been far too heavy and buttery on me, but this one is just perfect. WIN!

Hooooooly CRAP. Wow. Just wow. Will these be at ECWC tonight? Not that I'll be there, of course, but I'll start the begging now for reviews. Shelldoo, I must commend you on keeping this quiet on your end; if I were in your position, it would have been extremely difficult to not start shouting this from the rooftops!

Well, crap. I knew that I amped tonka, but...WOW. All I get from this is tonka, with a whiff of grapefruit at the back, jumping up and down like a kid who wants to get picked for the sports team, but just ain't gonna. Now I do love tonka, but that little whiff of grapefruit keeps it from working. Darn.
