Soft, sweet, and sexy. The musks and honey blend perfectly - Wow! This could be an instant favorite. This is sex in a bottle, much like smut. THe main difference is that while Smut is rough, intense sex, The Infernal Lover is passionate and slow.

Oh my gosh, I *adore* this scent! I'm not typically a rose girl per se, but the rose blended with the spicy cloves and the rich tonka... I think I've died and gone to heaven! This is sexy and sensual. I can see myself getting a ton of use out of it! This scent is *very* well-blended. I don't amp the rose like I expected to, but I'm not amping the cloves either. Instead, it's this utterly perfect, beautiful blend.

The Wrestler Onogawa Kisaburo Blowing Smoke at a One-Eyed Monster
NicoleJoy replied to windbourne's topic in Event Exclusive Oils
This scent is very interesting - the opposite of what I expected though. It's very smoky, with pepper and woods in the background. I think this would be incredibly sexy on a man, but I'm not 100% sure about it for me on it's own. When layered with various scents though, it is incredibly beautiful. Right now, I'm using it to add even more depth to "For Men Loved Darkness Rather than Light," and it's perfect. -
I am reviewing the Beaver 'Versary version. First off, this is INCREDIBLE, with a long-lasting strong throw. It smells sweet, like a bakery - all cake and cupcakes and yummy things. I haven't smelled the original, but I adore this version. So glad I bought a bottle!!

Just curious... I'm 24 years old, and I'm 5'4 and blonde. Most people would describe me as bubbly, happy, always smiling, sweet, or cute. I have a very high energy personality and a minor shopping addiction. My favorite color is pink. I was a cheerleader in high school, and I have a tendency to come off as a "valley girl." If you take me at face value, you may think I'm a lot of fun but not terribly deep. You'd be mistaken. Get to know me, and you'll realize I was more introverted growing up - a stage I grew out of in time. I worked hard at school, and I have 2 masters degrees incluiding my MBA. I graduated at the top of my class, and my test scores were always in the 99th percentile. I love to read, and I probably spend more time reading and relaxing than partying. I'm addicted to science fiction, especially the works of Orson Scott Card and Neil Gaiman. I also love classical literature. I have a somewhat geeky side, in that I enjoy anime, video games, and computers/technology. I paint - acrylics, mostly - and I've won many prizes for my writing achievements. I'm gifted at poetry, but I prefer short stories. I'm also a tomboy in a certain crowd. I love playing poker, talking cars, and just being "one of the guys." Finally, I have a passion for theatre, film, and performing. I dreamt of being an actress until about midway through college. I would LOVE to see someone come up with a scent based on my personality, mostly because I honestly couldn't peg myself if I tried.

Recs for Role-Playing Games (RPG), LARP and Cosplay

I've been devouring Buffy and Angel lately (2 episodes left! ), and it got me thinking...For those of you who have seen the shows, what scents would you associate with the various characters? In particular, I'm interested in: Cordelia (both Buffy and Angel versions, so likely 2 scents) Buffy Faith Anya Willow Dawn And most of all... Spike. ETA: I don't care if the scents are LE, GC, or even HTF. I just want opinions! -
Mmmmmm, this is the scent of winter. It reminds me of picking out a Christmas tree for some reason, even though we never actually did that in Florida. Pine, frost, and frozen berries... I picture Narnia to smell like Old Moon, and if I close my eyes and sniff, this is exactly what I envision.

One sniff and I slathered away! This scent is my new all-time favorite I think! It's delicious and sweet. I love it!
-
Sweet Pea and Tonka - an instant favorite in the GC. I think I'll be ordering this one soon!!
-
Gypsy is heavenly! Every time I try it on, I love it even more. I get mostly vanilla in this scent, but it's an amazing vanilla. Sweet and deep, it's a beautiful scent for summer. I find it utterly intoxicating!

In the bottle: Almondy/cherry scented! Wow, this is super sweet!! On the skin: Wait...what happened?? Vetiver takes over - the throw is almondy, but all I smell on my wrist is smoke. Dry down: Vetiver, with undertones of almond and vanilla. I amp vetiver, and I don't know if I like it or not. I wouldn't say I dislike it, and I'll keep my imp in hopes that it'll hook me up , but I wouldn't by a big bottle.

This is the first time I've ever been hit by the soap note of death. I wanted to smell aquatics in this, but all I get is floral soap. Nice soap...expensive soap, even...But soap, nonetheless.

Chaos Theory VI: Recursive Self-Similarity v7

607 - This is an interesting one! Licorice and Vanilla, I'm fairly certain, but the more it dries, the creamier it gets. After about 10 minutes, the licorice dies down into a more subtle note, and it almost smells like chocolate and vanilla. Yum. Also, UBER full. -
A little woodsy, a little earthy from the patchouli, and a little warm from the sandalwood and vanilla. INCREDIBLY amazing!! Possibly a favorite. It dries on the sweet side, but I never noticed the clove or carnation.

While testing this imp, I accidentally poured it all over myself. Whoops. Luckily, I do enjoy the scent. My shirt is stained deep yellow though, and I'm at work...haha. On my shirt, the scent is earthy and woodsy, but on my body, it softens a bit. I wouldn't get rose out of this at all if I didn't know the notes. Opoponax is most prevalent. It smells a little herbal to me, and I'd assume it'd be FANTASTIC on a man. I likely won't wear it over and over, but the smell is nice. This is a very heavy scent on me, and the throw is extremely strong. I get the feeling I'll be smelling this all night

This scent is playing games on me, and I love it!! I didn't know what to expect when I tried this on. The bottle was a freebie I won (Thank you!!!), and I couldn't remember the notes for the life of me. My first impressions, wet, were pure amber, tonka, and sandalwood (??) - powdery, rich, and soft. Minutes later as it dried, something earthy and beautiful emerged. It was then that I remembered I chose this one for the antique patchouli - my all time favorite. And now, I smell the myrrh and what seems like cloves. Definitely something spicy, overlaid with the patchouli and Amber. Sexy, sweet, dark, and beautiful. Oh how I wish I had a full bottle of this, now...

Reviewing '08. Snow White is one of my favorite scents. The ice and crisp notes are beautiful and chilling, but there is something warm and soft about this scent as well. Like others have noted, I get a hint of vanilla and light florals underneath all that snow and cold. It's crisp yet comforting - a unique and beautiful blend!

Very sweet. I forgot there was honey notes in this one until I applied the imp! I really like it a lot, though. It's sexy and musk-y, but the honey brightens it. It's sweet, but not cloyingly so. This is a VERY wearable scent; the sort that could become a signature scent of someone's. Unfortunately, it's not enough of a favorite to be MY scent, but it's beautiful all the same.

Wet: Very green, very woodsy, very not-what-I-expected. Dry: Still a little green, a little vanilla, a little peach After 30 minutes: Vanilla, sandalwood and peach. YUM! I love this! LOVE it!

More butterscotch or caramel than coffee, this scent confuses me. I get a big bowl of caramel popcorn out of this, as many others have mentioned. If I sniff really hard, I kind of smell coffee...or maybe I just WANT to... But mostly, it's a big bowl of caramel popcorn. Not that I'm complaining - just confused.

Fire pig is one of those rare scents that actually didn't change at all from the bottle to my skin, or from my skin to dry. It's bright and sweet - a perfect summer blend. I love the different fruits and sweet notes of it! I get a lot of peach, mandarin orange, and lychee from it. There's a tiny bit of floral in the background, but 95% of this scent is fruity on me. I think this could be a summer staple!
-
In the bottle: Ice cold, harsh, and slightly green. I'm nervous. Wet: Yuck. Metallic and harsh, this is almost painful to smell! I really hope this changes soon, otherwise it's off to the swap pile. I get nothing fruity like others have noticed...nothing even remotely alive. I've lost the green scent, too. Dry: This has warmed up a TON since I applied it. Thank God, lol.. It smells green, with a touch of berry. There's an icy air to it, but it's no longer painfully crisp. More like a mornings frost than frostbite, I think I could get used to this one. I like it, but it will definitely be put away until a more appropriate time of year

In the bottle, I can smell the alcohol (bay rum) and cinnamon most strongly. The musk calms it and makes this a much more delicate scent, in my opinion. Wet on skin, it's still heavy on the cinnamon. I feel like I'm smelling perfume while chewing Red Hot gum, lol. At a deeper sniff, the rose and frankincense come out, slightly.. Dry on skin, the cinnamon does die down a bit. I smell the musk, rose, and frankincense WITH the cinnamon, instead of under it. It does conjure up the emotions of the poem quite nicely. Once this has softened, I really enjoy it a lot!

Hmmm, I like this one. It's a little light, but very wear-able and mysterious... In bottle: Oh wow, this is SWEET. Almost cloyingly so. Wet-on-skin: Ahhh, not *that* sweet. This is pure vanilla, to me. Dry: Interesting... It's no longer pure vanilla, but I can't put my finger on what else it is! Maybe a little tonka.. It's still sweet, but there's something strange in the background - in a good way. Every time I think it smells cold, like a Yule, it warms up like fire. Every time I think it smells warm like a fire, it turns icy cold like a Yule. I can smell what BPAL has labeled "Black flames," or at least that's the image this scent conjures up. Not-too-sweet vanilla and a mysterious undertone of darkness. It should be noted that this scent is very light, with very little throw. ETA: Surfing the past reviews, I see someone else mentioning it feels both hot and cold. This makes me happy, as I thought I was going insane, LOL

I love this scent! It's unbelievably sexy, and I think I'll wear it a LOT. In the bottle: Wow, that's spicy! Cloves and a sweet undertone - maybe the vanilla coming out? It's hard to tell. Wet: Oh.My.God.Cloves. All this is is a ton of spice! Where are the other scents?? Dry: The cloves disappear, entirely. I'm left with a heavy, sexy vanilla in the forefront - not what I expected!. I can smell the patchouli and frankincense strongly, and a tad bit of tonka and musk. It's a warm, sexy scent, and it lasts FOREVER! The throw is amazing, too. For once, I don't feel like I need to constantly sniff my wrists, because I can smell the scent wallowing in the air whenever I move. It's amazing!
