I'm kinda obsessed with this blend. It's one of those where the notes are fairly easily identified on their own but blend together so beautifully to create an elegant and atmospheric scent. On my skin the spiciness of the carnation stands out with the vanilla saffron close behind. These are so pretty together. The sandalwood incense wafts around through the whole scent, the myrrh and bois de rose are like a softness rounding it all out. This scent is complex in a way, as I inhale deeply I can pick each note out. The overall effect is lovely, like walking into a room with multiple lovely smelling things in it. Flowers and incense and vanilla. Love it.

I am so in love with this scent! As others have said, it is very realistic to Swiss Miss hot chocolate and straight up marshmallows. It's delicious! In bottle: Swiss Miss hot chocolate! Wet on skin: Hot chocolate and marshmallows Dry down: the mud comes out! It's hot chocolate, marshmallows and mud. It might sound strange but it totally works! Complete dry down: Marshmallow becomes the strongest note with the mud having disappeared and the chocolate fading. It's delicious.

Bottle #126 Vanilla cream and maybe something that reminds me of Ivory Vulva. I did a side by side and CT is a little warmer but just as delicious! Love it!

This is all banana in the bottle but becomes a very pretty banana/incense on my skin. It's really very pretty.

Captain Lilith and her First Mate
Antoinette replied to tativa's topic in Black Phoenix Trading Post
LOVE!!!! Coconut cake is an apt description. I've layered this with some of the other foodie Fatherhood scents and it mixes so well with them. But, I love it on its own, too. -
Just as advertised. The sugar really does smell like the powdered variety. This is so yummy and layers well with Captain Lilith and her First Mate. I imagine it will layer well with lots of other foodie scents.

This is gorgeous! It's the fuzzy and warm ambergris that I love with the bright red currant that I also love. They mesh together really well and make this soft, cozy and warm scent that is perfect for fall.

Basically exactly what stellamaris just said. Easily my favorite frankincense blend ever. This is sweet and rich and decadent frankincense and I LOVE it with rabid abandon.

Very pretty aquatic. Salty on me, for sure, but the white mint and lemon peel make this fresh.

I swear I've been sitting here for a long time trying to find the right words to describe this blend. And words are failing me. Actually, I've been trying to write this review for almost a week. Words keep failing me. This blend is...magic? Yes. I think it is. A magical blend of notes that I love whipped up into an uncompromising beauty that intoxicates as it simultaneously makes me want to eat my wrist. There is a delicious beauty in this that makes me happy. I find it to be fleeting on my skin, so I have to reapply. Something about that makes me love it even more. It's so pretty that you can't catch it, just experience it for a little while before looking for more. Easily in my top ten all time favorites.

This one really surprised me in the bottle! Like yummy peanut food of some sort with dark musk. Sweeter than I expected. Very unique, fascinating.

Gorgeous. I think I amp ambergris a little, which is fine because I adore it. So, ambergris is the main note for me. The other notes are so well blended that it's hard to pick them out, save for the cedar. I can distinguish it in the background. All together they create a really beautiful and soft aquatic with a hint of the woods. Like Star Promenade, I find this one atmospheric. Love it!

Star Promenade is my favorite of all the Georgia Musks. It's very fruity on me - apple pie and peach at the front of everything. The rest of the notes give it an atmospheric quality. It's like eating apple pie outside at a picnic on a warm late summer evening. I love when Beth can capture an atmosphere like that, it's pretty magical.

Mmmmmm. This is soft and gorgeous. This is what I always wished Snow White smelled like on me. I get a nice heavy dose of sugar on the dry down. Bottle worthy.

This is delicious! In the bottle I get a bright lemon cheesecake with sugary pear bringing up the rear. On my skin it dries into a rich creamy lemon cheesecake (I swear I can smell the graham cracker crust!) with a hint of sugared pear at the end of every deep inhalation I take. The lemon note here reminds me of Lemon Scented Sticky Bat but it's a very different blend. My skin really amps the cheesecake note (yay!). This is an all around yummy gorgeous scent for foodies!

HeeHee. The second image Octopus conjured in my mind after applying (first image was the salty ocean) was of a fancy pants Ms. Octopus all gussied up in eight high heeled shoes, a bow and some lipstick on her way to an undersea ball. This blend is certainly a marine aquatic but it evokes a feminine feel. It's mostly salty ambergris on me with the frankincense and other notes swirling in the background. It's soft and watery and very pretty. I find it quite refreshing in the summer heat. Love this one!

Blissful! Oak bark, I love you. I get a warm vanilla that is swirled through with the grounding and earthy oak bark. It's comforting and calming. I am so glad I ordered this one. It reminds me of Atlas, the oak bark being the common component. I find both of them to have a tranquil effect on my mood. Lovelovelove.

I love this! It's so fresh and pretty, so real. There's a green sweetness that reminds me of getting sap on your fingers after picking dandelions. Gorgeous! And it stays true from bottle to skin. I got out my bottles of Phoenix in Spring and Plastic Pink Flamingo to compare. I can now confirm that the dandelion note in both of those is the main reason I love them so much.

I'm addicted to this. Sweet molasses popcorn is dominant. All of the other notes create a delicious melange of warm, sweet foody goodness. This blend makes me smile. Delicious!!

A quiet honey musk with gentle orris, rice milk, and white gardenia. Absolutely beautiful. This blend is delicate, quiet, milky and comfy. It's soft and warm. The notes blend together to the point I can't pick them out very easily, but I love that it's like creamy, milky white goodness. The gardenia is present but doesn't take over. Nice comfort scent!

A lot like Hope with strawberries upon first application. I amp rose, so that takes over and then maybe it breaks my nose because everything else seems to disappear into an olfactory blind spot or something. But it sure was sweet and pretty before my skin chemistry went haywire with the rose. I'm positive this is delicious on the right person!

I am so happy to finally meet Dolly! This scent comes across quite smooth and sweet on my skin, a true winner for me. The top notes on me are the vanilla and tobacco. The copal, tonka and resins provide depth. Everything about this blend is appealing to me. I love it to pieces.

Delicious creamy milk chocolate. This one is a lot of fun!

Dark, thick, rich coffee. It's not until this dries a little bit that the rose peeks out, the buhur even further in the background on my skin. This rose reminds me of the color pink. It remains in the background and gives the rich coffee scent a delicate and feminine balance. It's an interesting and quite beautiful juxtaposition of scents. I can imagine wearing this on a chilly day and being warmed by it.

This turned out to be my favorite from this year's C2E2 blends. In the bottle - sweet myrrh. On my skin - This does remind me of the Myrrh SN but I'm getting a lot more from it. The honey is sweet and bright, making the myrrh seem golden and warmer than when it's on its own. I am not familiar with sweet flag, but if it's lending a sweetness then its lovely too. This doesn't morph at all on me and creates a resinous golden glow that's sweetly swoon worthy. It brings back memories of when I worked in a museum specializing in Egyptian artifacts, this same type of smell could be detected from one of the mummies. Love it!!!!!
