This is one of the greatest perfumes I have ever smelled and aging does nothing to worsen its charm. Definitely a keeper and 5ML worthy. SEXY.

I can't say enough good things about this one though I agree with many posters that aging is the key to a pleasant Snake Oil experience. Also a little really does go a long way, its probably not kind to those around us to slather this stuff on ... other then that I'm all gushing praise, this is THE darkly enchanting sexy essential oil blend. THE one. This oil lived up to all the abstract expectations for "darkly enchanting sexy perfume oil" I'd been carrying around in my head for years - its an amazing life-changing find. And this company, bless it, keeps churning out variations on this masterpiece. the Snakepits, Lilith Victoria, Snakecharmer, the Snake Oil CTs and many other scents keep things interesting for this classic.

Oh devastatingly sexy, darkly enchanting - anything that makes men react the way this perfume does must be made of magic! I've literally seen this one cause a frenzied reaction - its definitely not light and airy - I don't think it falls into the catagory of "dark" bpals - it's more a floral with a dark twinge like purple flowers with tendrils of black woven through ...

I would purchase a lab fresh 5ML of this. I am not sure how Bon Vivant ages, but personally I would like to try this particular blend at its freshest. Somehow i think that would compliment the effervescent quality of the scent better as we tend to age scents when we want to mellow them out and blend the notes and make them stronger. With this scent I think clear, distinct, contrasting, sharp, light and crisp are probably the desired qualities and since aging is unlikely to bring those particular aspects of the oil out ... Yes, I do think this would be an excellent candidate to be purchased as a 5ML straight from the lab and worn regularly throughout a fun spring or summer.

My only complaint is I wish it was longer-lasting. Though that is a major point for me, this is still way way 5ML worthy. Its at the very tip top of my 5ML list. Pure chocolate BLISS in a bottle. If you're not careful you might forget that these oils are strictly non-edible. Its pretty incredible that something that is not food can smell like this ... it smells entirely like rich, decadent molten chocolate in a bottle. just remember that it isn't. now i just wish someone could create a chocolate scent that wasn't immediately devoured by my skin.

Underrated and extraordinary. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this oil is that it manages to capture a rich tropical coconut scent without smelling like tanning lotion. In fact this coconut scent is complex, with dark overtones and the coconut woven through the scent as a skillfully balanced contrasting sweetness ... a testament to the complex balance of contrasting scents that set these blends apart from their competitors.

Mm...this is a good one. Definitely 5ML worthy. Cocoa vanilla definitely captured by the word envelop. Even remembering this scent evokes feelings of being wrapped in warm, fuzzy velvet. Its deep, plush, decadent, rich ... heavy and sweet, but not at all cloying. its a scent that captures many of the qualities of velvet - really quite extraordinary. I can see why this is such a popular one. I don't see this one aging well but I'll definitely get a 5ML to slather on for a few months when I feel a rich, luxurious winter coming on.

I never really picked up the pomegranate clearly in this scent. It smells more like a straight up martini to me, or should I say what a martini would smell like after being spilled all over bare skin. It's clean and refreshing with a hint of booze on the air, a good choice for a lighthearted evening to drinking and dancing. not my favourite BPAL, I wouldn't give it marks for complexity or beauty or composition - but its creative and unique in that BPAL way and definitely worth a try. Won't make it into my 5ML collection and actually even my imp will end up in the swap pile but worth a try all the same.

The scent of sexual obsession, slavery to sensual pleasure, and the undercurrent of innocence defiled utterly. Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla. After reading the sensational reviews ... let's just say this scent is one of my great BPAL disappointments. My theory is that the scent was unable to live up to the hype of the reviews. In hindsight, if I had tried this scent without all the expectations built up of how one sniff would turn anyone into a dripping lucious sex goddess I think I would have been blown away by it. Hype aside this scent really is like smearing yourself with lush, sticky, gooey honey. The smell is authentic and astonishing for a perfume oil. This blend is quite an achievement, a testament to the skill with which these perfumes are created. Though it may fall short of everything this review promises (hey, it may not!) this is still quite a pretty, sexy and unique perfume. The honey note is also an interesting one to age. Aged bottles of O are quite popular. Might be worth grabbing a bottle and storing it in a cool dark place for a couple of years to see if the cloying quality of the honey note settles down. I've been unable to really enjoy this perfume because the sweetness of lab fresh imps has been stifling so far ... would like to try this scent well-aged.

While I think there is no particular scent that is appropriate for a wedding, in other words that the right woman can pull off any scent as long as it is the right scent for her ... that being said, my first vote would go to Thalia. This sparkling, clear, sweet, crisp scent is very different and yet has a light charm and elegance that make it very well suited to a springtime wedding. Another one is Bon Vivant. The strawberries and champagne are a perfect fit for how I'd want to celebrate my happy day. For totally different vibes Mme. Moriarty would also be high on my list.

A beautiful, lush rose scent. Nothing extraordinary about it but its a very nicely done, simple, elegant. quality rose perfume. Nothing cloying or artificial about this, think more freshly cut bouquet and less cheap flat imitation rose.
