  1. In the imp: Soap and sirupy vanilla with a perfumy undertone

Drying on my skin: This is a very sweet and fluffy scent. At the same time soapy-flowery and cloying sirupy. The combination of carnation and vanilla almost smells like jasmine to me (which unfortunately makes me feel ill). There's a odd perfumy vibe to it.

No spices, no musk, no sandalwood. Where are you??? :huh?:

Throw and staying power: light - medium, 4-5 hours

Colour impression: a fluffy pale yellow

    Verdict:

According to the describtion I supposed I would LOVE this scent. But alas...

There is a funny picture coming in my mind while sniffing at my wrist: A very happy giant vanilla marshmallow is walking into the bathroom to take a nice shower. While scrubbing himself with a flowery soap he is singing silly songs...

    Funny and cute? Yeah!

    But exotic? Spicy? SEXY???

Unfortunately at least not with my skin chemistry. :cry2:

Inspite of that I will keep the Imp and try it again in a few weeks or months. Hope dies last...

  2. In the imp: Bitter and sharp. Not very nice in fact.

    Drying on my skin: WOW!!!

The sharpness morphes into soft woody notes with a warm, golden and o so lovely sweet amber coming out to play. There's something sensual underneath (like a kind of non-stinky, sweet sweat) - I suppose this is the red musk. A tiny bit of soapiness peeks trough.

Throw and staying power: medium, 6 hours

Colour impression: matt copper with golden sparkles, hints of dark green

    Verdict:

This scent is so lovely! To me not masculine per se - more like the scent a man leaves on your skin after a sensual embrace. This very special man has been working in the woods all day and the remaining hints of the soap and aftershave he used the morning before going to work mingles with his sweet sweat (in a good way, you know ;) ).

    I'm in love!

    :wub2:

  3. In the imp: Hot polished brass, oil, steam and a bit of beeswax.

Drying on my skin: Same as wet.

Throw and staying power: Strong! throw, about 10 hours

    Colour impression: golden brass

    Verdict: WOW!!!

This smells exactely like a new polished steam engine to me!

Unfortunately this is WAY to strong for me... I prefere lighter scents and closer to the skin.

But nevertheless - this is a BRILLIANT and EVOCATIVE scent!

    :joy:

  4. In the imp: Sharp, a little bit soapy with undertones of sandalwood and kibbled cereal

Drying on my skin: The sharpness fades and the sandalwood turns sweet on my skin. I still get herbal soap and kibbled cereal. Somehow powdery but still strong.

Throw and staying power: Medium-strong, 8 hours

Colour impression: powedery browns and greens

Verdict: Reminds me a lot of luxury health stores with it's soaps, cereals, woods and herbs. I always loved the smell in those shops! :)

    Interesting!

  5. In the imp: Dark bitter chocolate, unsweetened cacao, black coffee, very dry red wine and a musky deep sweet spice.

Drying on my skin: On my skin this doesn't morph at all. Same as wet.

Throw and staying power: Medium-strong throw, about 6-8 hours

    Colour impression: deep blood-red

Verdict: I love the concept of this perfume! A very evocative and unique scent!

Not for everyday use but I know a little Cuban bar where wearing this will be awsome.

Great scent for special (but unfortunately rare) occasions!

    B)

  6. In the imp: Wet cut grass, fresh twigs and a hint if bitter citrus. Very green!

Drying on my skin: After a while it morphes into a light flowerscent with a hint of faint tea and citrus. I get the cherryblossoms now.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 5 hours

Colour impression: Soft pink and green

Verdict: At first this scent is VERY green! Then it morphes into a light very feminine perfume.

Nice but not me at all.

  7. In the imp: Amber, honey, some deep unusual flower, sweet pepper

Drying on my skin: On my skin its sweet and sparkling! Lovely sweet amber, honeyed flowers and lots of tingling sexy pink pepper.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

Colour impression: a glowing golden deep fuchsia-pink

    Verdict: Georgeous!

Sexy, peppery, warm and sweet! This is the perfect flirty party-scent! So lovely, deep and glowing!

    Love it so much!

    :wub2:

  8. In the imp: Sweet faint flowers

Drying on my skin: My skin turned it into pure stale cider vinegar! IRGH! :ack:

Throw and staying power: Had to wash it off immediately

    Verdict: Not for me!

  9. A sea of salty tears drowning out Alice's light floral perfume.

In the imp: Strong ozoney lavender

Drying on my skin: The sharp lavender softens to a sweet lavender with strong saltnotes in the background. It smells like fresh very salty seawater spilled over candied lavender. Yumm! There are also some very faint, powdery flowers in the background (rose?).

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 8 hours

Colour impression: Soft lilac with hints of pale green

Verdict: Amazing! I love this scent very much!
Unique, soft and chilly. Sweet and very salty at the same time. The flowery perfume in the background has a slightely oldfashioned touch - not in a "old ladies" way but girlish. Almost like looking at old photographies from the 19th century.

  10. In the imp: Honey, ginger and pepper

Drying on my skin: The black tea shows and blends with honey and ginger to a georgeous teanote with a comforting warm sweetness and a hint of citrus. The pepper is not an agressive one, it adds a warming spicyness.

Amusingly I get the scent of sunwarmed apricots in the background.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

    Colour impression: Pale apricot-brown

Verdict: Lovely! A warm and comforting scent, sweet and spicy with hints of apricots without beeing foody. It feels like snuggling in a warm and cozy woolen blanket. A great scent for autumn or chilly summer evenings!

    :wub2:

  11. In the imp: VERY sweet honey, VERY sweet vanilla (tonka), gentle chamomile

Drying on my skin: Same as wet, a bit powdery.

Throw and staying power: Light throw

    Colour impression: Velvet yellow

Verdict: It's like sitting on a meadow with lots of wild flowers around. Bumblebees and bees are humming in a gentle summerbreeze. You're drinking a light chamomile tea. Lovely!

But then you put 15 spoons of honey in your tea. And lots of vanilla.

    :cry2:

Alas, this was too much for me. I loved the gentle herbal undertones of this scent very much but unfortunately the where overwhelmed by too strong honey and vanilla. *sigh*

  12. In the imp: Vodka, apples, mint, lime and sweet florals. Cool, fresh and yummy!

Drying on my skin: My skin turned it into a strong flower perfume. All the freshness is gone and it's very strong, sweet and perfumy.

Throw and staying power: Strong throw

    Colour impression: Bright apricot/salmon

Verdict: I liked the wetstage very much! Very unique, fresh and sexy!

Why had my skin to turn it? Dry on me it smells exactly like the overly sweet, heavy flower perfume my greatgrandma used to wear... :thud:

On a person who's skin doesn't turn it this will be awsome!

  13. In the imp: Strong honeydew melon, some green tea

Drying on my skin: Honeydew melon and a hint of green tea. I don't get any of the other notes.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 8 hours

    Colour impression: Fresh yellowish green

Verdict: This is a very realistic honeydew melon to me. Unfortenatly not much more. Sadly while wearing it gets more and more cloying on my skin.

This will make a pretty fruity sommerscent on somebody! Unfortunately not on me...

  14. In the imp: Strong peonie, strong citrus and a black tea note

Drying on my skin: Citrus ice tea!

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

    Colour impression: Soft orange

Verdict: Actually much stronger than I guessed. On my skin it morphed into the scent of the citrus ice tea we had very often at our garden partys when I was a child. This is *exactly* what it smells like to me! B)

I like it not so much as a perfume but I'll defintively keep it for the happy memories it evokes...

  15. In the imp: Mint, powdery chocolate and strong moss

Drying on my skin: A very complexe scent. There's the sweet note of powdery milk chocolate, a sweet mint, strong wet moss, "rainforest" woods and a hint of creamy vanilla. Sounds weird but the notes go together very well.

Throw and staying power: Strong throw, about 6 hours

Colour impression: Deep, wet mossy green with hints of powdery brown

Verdict: Very interesting and individual blend! Like a chocolate frog in the rainforest sitting on a tuft of dripping wet moss. ;)

Great, but unfortunately not me at all...

  16. In the imp: Strong amber

Drying on my skin: Spicy amber. Warm and quite sweet. Kind of oriental. A "thick" scent.

Throw and staying power: Strong throw

    Colour impression: Coppergold

Verdict: A lovely, deep scent - unfortunately not for me. To strong, to "grown-up", to ...uhm... "amberish"... ;)

  17. In the imp: Sugar and warm bread, creamy and nice

Drying on my skin: The strongest note is a scent of dry white bread. There's some sugar and very little butter. I don't get any teanotes.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw

    Colour impression: White

Verdict: My skinchemistry seems to dislike this scent. It's mostly dry bread - nothing creamy, soft and comforting. No caramel. Just dry bread and dry sugar.

    :huh?:

  18. In the imp: Lemondrops and organgeblossom, sharp, spicy and sweet. Glittering and youthful.

Drying on my skin: After 10 minutes it morphed into old lady's flower perfume... *shock*

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

    Colour impression: Bright yellowish orange

Verdict: I love the novel "Lolita" and I really wanted to love the scent. The wetstage was very pleasant but my skinchemistry turned it into an cloying flowery old lady's perfume...

    That's more than weird... *sigh*

    :huh?:

  19. In the imp: Sharp ozoney grapefruit, a little bit of salt

Drying on my skin: The grapefruit disappears very quickly and leaves a soft, salty aquatic with some very light white flowers underneath.

Throw and staying power: Light throw, 6-8 hours

Colour impression: pale greenblue with hints of very light airy grey

Verdict: Stunning! I love this scent very much!

It evokes pictures of a pale greenblue sea, misty air with the first warm sunbeams shining through, light whitegrey clouds and a fututristic city with high skyscrapers in the background. It strongly reminds me of pictures of Manhattan's skyline.

    Modern, calm and unique.

    :wub2:

  20. In the imp: VETIVER!!! :thud:

    Very strong and harsh.

Drying on my skin: The vetiver mellows down and something sweet underneath makes it's way through.

Throw and staying power: Strong throw, had to wash it off

    Colour impression: muddy brown

Verdict: This scent is very realistic: Sharp rain, broken trees, lots of mud. A big wet chaos.

Very interesting concept, but not for me as a perfume.

  21. In the imp: Sandalwood, a strong sweet dirtnote, stale wet earth, gingerbread and a hint of tabaco

Drying on my skin: It mellows down to a creamy sweet and spicy perfume. I still get sandalwood and gingerbread but the dirtnote and wet earth morphed into a sunwarmed rich earthnote, not stale and wet anymore. The tabaco grows into a georgeous soft, warm kind of pipe tabaco (nothing smokey ore stale) perhaps even wit a little hint of vanilla(?).

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

    Colour impression: Warm reddish brown

Verdict: The wetstage appeared not so pleasant to me but dry it's georgeous! Not "dreadful" at all... ;)

Soft, deep and warm, almost glowing. It reminds me of pipestores, sunwarmed rich earth, autumn and gingerbread.

  22. In the imp: Lots of spicy citrus, honey and some creamy soft florals

Drying on my skin: The spicy citrus morphs into a light ginger, sweetend by the honey. Everything is shaded by a kind of milky creaminess.

Throw and staying power: Medium throw, about 6 hours

Colour impression: Glowing very pale gold

Verdict: Lovely! Very comforting, glowing and warm - soft gingery perfection!

  23. In the imp: Truly delicious marzipan!

Drying on my skin: Sweet milk and honeyed grains.

Throw and staying power: Close to the skin, 4-6 hours

    Colour impression: Soft creamy white

Verdict: It's georgeous! Simple, soft and sweet without being cloying or overly foody. It reminds me a lot of the unique scent of a baby's skin - nice-smelling, soft and warm. Very comforting!
