BPAL's honey blends tend to go a little sour on me and this one is no exception. This one smells just like Alice on me but with a dash of sandalwood tossed in.

    Yew-Trees

Okay... I knew this one would smell "woody" but I've never sniffed yew-tree before so I had to give it a try even though my skin hates woods. This one doesn't dissappoint. It's a sharp, piercing wood scent with a heavy evergreen overtone. I feel like I just parachuted into a forest and hit every tree on the way down. Not the greatest scent for me.

    The Hamptons

Hrm... this smells slightly citrussy to me. Is there a citrus in a Cosmo? I think I'm also getting a faint whiff of a berry-like note. This is a pretty fresh blend... very bright and pick-me-up-ish. Definitely keeping this imp around for the long-haul.

    Dirty

Ooh, I smell like freshly washed sheets! A wonderfully clear, crisp, CLEAN scent. No wonder my little sister wanted a bottle for Christmas. I think I may have to snag one up for myself too. < nods >

Oooh... love the moonflower in this. In fact, I think I love the moonflower in *every* BPAL blend it's gone into. Wonderful wonderful blend. There's a perky hint of powdery violet that peeks out after the drydown. It already reminds me so much of my other moonflower blends that I'm not sure I will ever buy a full bottle but I'm definitely keeping this imp around to slather.

    La Petite Mort

This smells like truck stop soap on me. >_< I dunno if it's the myrrh screwing it up yet again or perhaps too much ylang-ylang, but this is horrific on my skin. After the initial drydown it turns to straight-up baby powder. Not at all sexy or seductive.

    Hades

Hrm... at first whiff, this almost smells like it's a wholly masculine blend. It's dark and musky but with a small hint of floral. After the drydown this fades into a powdery resinous blend.

    Blood Countess

Surprisingly sweet at first! Wonderful berry scent that reminds me of something I just can't put my finger on. After the drydown a faint hint of white floral comes out, but not enough to fade the berry away. Which is wonderful! This may be going onto my bottle list... < nods >

    Sloth

Ick... two notes that utterly despise me (and I them) vetiver and myrrh. >_< This is bitter and ugly. Wayyyy too heavy and dark.

    Asphodel

Hrm... definitely a floral nightmare. By nightmare I don't mean it smells bad.... it's just a creepy, slightly bitter scent. Not for me I think.

    Santa Eularia Des Riu

A bit heavy on the jasmine and lavender. I do get a faint orange blossom peeking out though. A somewhat slightly citrus greenery with a soft herbal undertone. I'll keep the imp around but won't be buying a bottle.

    Baku

Heavy lavender. This isn't relaxing to me at all. I think it's astringent and bitter.

    Rakshasa

Interesting rose blend. It's a very light rose and something else on me. It's not patchouli or sandalwood so I can't imagine what else it is in there.... Strange. It fades very quickly on me though... probably why I can't pick anything out.

    Delphi

Gak... this smells horrible! Like something dead and rotting... seriously. Blech... have to wash this off immediately!!

    March Hare

Yummy apricot! I get a slightly spicy clove to this but I'm sooooo thankful that it doesn't overpower this wonderful juicy fruit! Oh soooooo good! I feel like I could bite into my arm!

    Malice

The patchouli in this is actually pretty nice. I'm usually not a huge fan of patchouli. Alas though, the clove and myrrh are not so kind to me. >_< Amped up beyond belief.

    Seraglio

The almond in the blend is very sweet and slightly overtoned by the spicy clove. The Bulgarian rose lends a slight soapy note on me though... strange, since roses usually always agree with me. Truly not a bad scent. I'm on the fence with this one though... keep it or let it go... ? Hrm... I guess I'll keep it for awhile longer and perhaps test it again to see the results.

    The Queen of Hearts

In this blend I get a cherry calla lily. Sweet and floral. This is a real cherry note too, not that candied cherry note you find in most perfumes. I gotta say though, I prefer the candied cherry.... This is a sweet, effervescent blend, bubbling with mirth and playfulness.

    Calliope

Very warm almond blend. There's something slightly sour citrus about it though... perhaps the bergamot. Or the thyme making the citrus sour instead. After the initial drydown more of the lovely verbena comes wafting out with a single slice of a fresh orange. Nice blend but entirely my style.

    Casanova

Ick... anise along with some bitter, almost burned out note. Perhaps the leather... I don't know, I just know it's not good on me at all.

    Caliban

Definite wood overtones to this. And I'm just not lovin' woods. There is a faint hint of tropical blooms and a faintly sweet wine, but it's not enough to save this scent from the "begone" pile.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

On me, this sweet pea note is just smelling kinda sour. The white sandalwood doesn't amp up as much as sandalwood normally does on me though. I also get a very faint vanilla bean note. Amber isn't anywhere to be found. And since I don't much like vanilla bean or sour sandalwood, this one is definitely getting tossed.

    Grog

Yup... rum alright. Complete with a very heavy alcohol note. I like drinking rum in mixed drinks but I don't like smelling like I fell into a vat of it.

    Black Pearl

Musky coconut shavings with a slightly chocolate-y nutty overtone. Too much musk for me and I'm not too fond of the coconut either.

Definitely catching the lemon verbena in this. The sage is a little heavy and slightly ruining it for me, but otherwise this is still a good blend. Fresh meadows and verbena goodness. A cleansing grassy herbal wafts about after the drydown, drawing you in to a nap in the grass and perhaps lazily watching the clouds floating overhead. You know that scene in the new Star Wars movies where Anakin and Padme and running around in a field, just being in love without any distractions? This is exactly the scent I picture of standing in that meadow.
