I wish that opium weren’t showing up in so many blends lately. The opium here is pretty strong. A sharp, white smokiness that pierces the other notes. In the drydown, more of the tobacco comes out and this is an incredibly dry, dirty scent. Too dry and too smoky for me. Makes me smell like I rolled around in the floor of a cigarette store

Sharp, bitter florals and a really soapy drydown. I normally like florals and aquatic/ozone scents but this is like the worst of both of those worlds combined.
-
On me this is a dry, dusty leather and lots of really sharp, herbal sage. No tonka and no sweet red sandalwood. I think I smell a dirty patchouli coming in on the drydown that I guess would be from the Snake Oil. This might be better on a man, but it’s not really sweet or complex enough for me to want my man to wear it.

I wish that I understood the hype with these things. I’ve gone through a few of them now and just haven’t been very impressed. I can barely even smell Zazzle in the baggie, and it has no scent whatsoever once it is in the water. You definitely have to use the entire bomb and not fill the bath tub up very much. With Zazzle, at least it is more moisturizing than the other fizzy booms. It turned the water a murky brown shade like a weak cup of hot chocolate. Slightly moisturizing. No scent.
-
I don’t like posting bad reviews but I am really underwhelmed with the fizzies. I’ve been getting bad headaches recently so I was excited when I got this bomb from a friend. Unfortunately the pure peppermint oil thing doesn’t do much for me, though I can’t even smell it once it has dissolved anyhow. I thought that these would be more highly scented and more moisturizing. The only thing that it really did was turn my water a poo brown shade I understand that they are supposed to be more natural, but I wish this did color the water in some more appealing shade or that it was moisturizing or something.

Blood onmy hands sent me a few drops of this rarity and I slathered it on. I was thinking about buying the Snake Pit to get an imp of this originally, but now I’m glad that I didn’t. Anaconda is way too sweet, and smells like burnt sugar and plastic on my skin. Which honestly doesn't surprise me, I got the same burnt note from Sugar Skull and Hope and Faith as well... BPAL's sugar notes hate me. I don’t smell anything like Snake Oil in here at all either.

Yup... churchy frankincense. I'm actually really surprised that this is good on me (ordered for the gorgeous artwork alone). I didn't expect to like it at all, but it's pretty fair on me. Very frankincensy resin and a muddy (not actualy wet dirt, just not watery or dry... somewhere in between) herbal note. I'm not a resinous fan, so I probably won't wear it often, but it's good.

Wonderful wonderful gorgeous rose!! There's also a clean water-y accord (much like Black Moon and Kindly Moon) in the background. Just gorgeous... I will definitely be ordering a second bottle of this one. Kindly Moon + Rose = Abhisarika
-
The rose in this is actually very reminiscent of Whip while wet. After the drydown it becomes "brighter" somehow and more full bloom. Definitely not a tea rose (they ALWAYS leave me headachey), which is good... but not the end all, be all of roses either... < sigh > Hopefully Rose Moon will WOW me because Hope is just not doin' it, and I was so hopeful for the past 6 months for this to work well!! :D ... I guess I'll stick with my cheaper GC rose loves.

This is a very powdery violet... I like powdery violets but this is just blech on me. It's kinda sour.... and I have no idea why. O_o I don't get any extra sugar note... at least not a sweet one. Maybe that's what this sour note is on me, Sugar Skull was a horrible burned note on me, maybe that's how the sugar notes BPAL uses go with my skin chemistry.... dammit. I was so hoping to love these two.

Whip and the Peacock Queen are my "special occassion" perfumes. In fact, I wore Whip to my wedding. Around the holidays I'll wear either Snow White or perhaps Shattered if the mood strikes me (note to self: must order bottle, imp is running low).
-
I think our International friends get an email from the Lab though... or have they started getting CnSs too?
-
Check the order numbers.... It'll tell you which ones go with which order. I use CCNow and get an order number in my email inbox... the same number is always on my CnS notice.
-
Orders lately for me have been taking about a month to 5 weeks after order date to get a CnS. Then there's another week added for shipping. So roughly 6 weeks or so between order and receive. Watching the IGMO thread I've noticed that shipping to the UK is about 3-4 days faster than it is to here.... oddly enough (or maybe not so oddly considering the military is put in charge of it about halfway through the system ). So, my rough guesstimation for your order would be first week of Feb... barring any component issues or update delays as embezel pointed out).

If you can find Treat #2... that one had a pure coconut note on me.
-
Yeah... my vote's for PQ too. Jack was rancid gourd on me while PQ was actually quite nice.

Oooh... really HEAVY on the ylang ylang here! This one is a heavy white floral on me... and after the drydown it turns to straight-up soap. Not even cheap hotel-brand soap... just soap... not even worthy of the name Hilton (and that may be saying something ).
-
Hrm... this one smells vaguely (spear)minty on me... odd. Anyhow, I'm not sure I agree with the site description in that it's "warm"... it actually feels quite chilly to me. Not *cold*... but not what I would epitomize as warm either. Slightly green and snowy, this isn't as golden/wam as I expected it to be with the amber. At least the violets don't turn to powder on me like they usually do. It dries down to a very green floral on me. Not what I expected.

This one reminds me of a cologne my grandpa wears. Jacob's Ladder is warm and cozy to me (probably because of the grandpa association), like curling up to a warm cup of tea on a chilly winter evening in front of the fire with a loved one. On the drydown a slightly spicy masculine note comes out (the one that most reminds me of that cologne) and I have no clue what it is. This one is woodsy without being full of woods, and green without being full of greens. I may have to send grandma an imp to test out on grandpa .

PEPPERMINT!! :ack:Just like a bowl-ful of red and white swirled peppermint candies. I was hoping this would be more like Snowblind with a bit more butter-vanilla to it. And after the drydown this actually turns pretty sour on me (like someone's been sucking on a peppermint to cover up their cigarette/chewing tobacco-breath and has spit it out onto my arm only half melted... ) and my arm is really starting to tingle uncomfortably.... < sigh > Really glad I resisted the urge to grab up 2 bottles of this one.
-
More ylang ylang!! Either my skin amps these wayyy up (which hasn't happened before) or there's a LOT of this note in the blends... this is horrid. I get a slight fruity berry tinge to this one which does save it a point or two from being completely written off but this ylang ylang is just too much for me. Blech.

I definitely can pick out the verbena in this one (one of my favorite notes ) but it's almost overwhelmed by this very green overtone to this. Not particularly pine leaves or evergreen or even holly... just GREEN. This appears to be the only one out of all the Yules I've tried to actually smell somewhat "Holiday-ish" and even then there's nothing I can really put my finger on as to why it feels that way. Maybe it's just a seasonal green-ness on the chilly winter air I remember... but this one is actually pretty good. Probably what would be considered my "favorite" out of the Yules and even then it's score isn't particularly high. < sigh > I may end up burning this one in the oil burner a time or two... it seems more suited to scenting a room than it does me.
-
On first whiff I get something like grapejuice (High John's maybe?) and some woods. I can pick out the red musk fairly easy and there is a dusty book-ish quality to it. This one smells really masculine on me and I don't really like it because of the woods. I mainly ordered this one to see what artwork the Lab would come up with to put on the label... so color me dissappointed when they all look the same.
-
This is so odd... I was expecting a chilly winter air sort of feel to this and instead I get a warm slightly spicy feeling. O_o There's an odd sour note in this for me... I have no clue what it is, but it's slightly dusty dry.... very musty. Kinda "old-man"-ish (should've been named Knecht Ruprecht ) Not for me either.... < sigh > The Yules this year aren't doing so good on me.
-
Erm... this smells like cold band-aid adhesive on me. O_o Chilly and slightly medicinal I was hoping for a bit more fruity tone to this but I don't get any fruit whatsoever. I get that chilly feeling in my nostrils when I sniff it (like whan you sniff or eat peppermints ya know?) but other than that I can barely make out any notes on the drydown. And... now it's starting to smell like Vick's Vaporub... < goes to wash off >
