Zombi is an interesting rose/earth/oakmoss scent. Though I don't know if rose might make you feel nauseous

This is a salty chocolate truffle on me. It also smells kind of aquatic. A bit like the sweet cream plus salt water of The Sea Foams Milk, but with chocolate. I like this more than I thought I would.

Sweet scents, sugar notes & things that smell like candy

Maybe golletes? Though that has pastry too. -
it's very nice. it's a unique, salty floral.

i really liked pearl diver lotion + whip. or pearl diver + imp...or pearl diver + high-strung daisies

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?
ModderRhu replied to Nadirah's topic in Recommendations
try thouros. it's lychee and rose. very bold, red, and a little juicy! -
reminds me very much of goblin (a love of mine) with gentle lemon. i like it a lot!

i remember someone saying that velvet unicorn is "too...toooooo." that appealed to me very much. i was like, "bring it on!" and yeah i definitely see what that person was saying. it's crazy cherry overload. it's like when you chew on a cherry laffy taffy and it's kind of oily/fatty and juicy and warm. just pure hedonism. definitely velvety. it also reminds me of the taste of those cherry catcher's mitt ice creams with the baseball shaped gumball. love!

this is a BPAL first for me. it's actually too strong. i have never felt that way about a BPAL before the patchouli isn't that dirty to my nose. it's actually kind of sharp and soapy. i definitely can smell the other notes struggling underneath the patchouli, though. they're being squished! i know for sure that this will be awesome in a few years or so. it's already calmed down significantly from when i bought my bottles around christmas.

oh no. why do i have to love this? WHY?! it's lovely pillowy marshmallows dipped in milk with a tiny bit of green stuff in the background to make it wearable. the pink sugar is what i get the least of. there's just a teensy hint of cherry or berry or something it's just gorgeous if you think you don't like candy smells or foodies, try this anyway. it's very different. ETA: surprisingly, this also lasts and lasts and lasts...and lasts. it's also got a large throw radius, yet it's pretty subtle. it just kind of floats around you in a cloud of gentle milky loveliness.

Seconding Aureus. It's like a tea-like, dirt-like, golden incense with a dry sweetness. A staple for me.

If you are ok with chocolate, you might want to try The Malignant Dreams of Cthulhu in Love. It's salty sweet chocolate incense. My first BPAL ever and a fave

Best BPALs for SUMMER - is it hot, sweltering, sticky outside?
ModderRhu replied to Donnababe's topic in Recommendations
YESSSS. there is something nice about being suffocated by dry dirty patchouli in the summer and it just smells better and better when it cooks on your skin. -
Amazing amazing amazing. Wow. If you like Lights of Men's Lives, you will like this. It's exactly the same to my nose. Love it!

This is my least favorite of the new hair glosses. The scent reminds me of (I hate myself for saying this) Juniper Breeze from Bath and Body Works. My favorite fragrance of theirs, but I don't want my BPAL hair products to smell like it! Phenomenal lasting power on this scent. It's also very heavy and it made my hair greasier than the other new glosses. I really don't dislike the smell and I could see myself being in he mood for it on certain days, so I think I will keep my decant. This is the only new hair gloss I can't see myself buying a bottle of in the future.

Love this scent. Dirty patchouli warmed by melty chunks of glowing amber. Very strongly scented with great lasting power. Like Morocco hair gloss, this one seems less likely to make my hair greasy even if I thought I used too much. Perfect year-round scent. It compliments pretty much any BPAL perfume oil I'd wear with it. Pairs well with the other hair glosses, too!
-
Well I knew I would love this one since I already love the perfume oil version of Morocco. It smells like fresh Morocco, which is smoother to my nose than aged. I wish the scent was stronger though. It's one of the lightest scented glosses from the new round. It's also the least greasy. I thought I sprayed too much one time, but it seems to be very forgiving! It also smells REALLY good if you use a little bit of Amber & Parchouli hair gloss with it

This smells like fresh coconut cream with a hint of floral and a tiny bit of anise. The anise goes away pretty fast so don't let that scare you. This is one of the heavier hair glosses out of the new round, scent wise and moisture wise. So use a light hand! I am very happy with the scent and I didn't think I'd like it since so many hair products out there have that generic coconut smell. Not so with this! It's lovely

Phwoarghhhhh! Too sweet! I love black coconut to bits, but I need it to be with mostly non-sweet things. Goblin and Tiki King come to mind. I was hoping to get more salty ambergris out of this. I am such a foodie but this is too much. Wet sugar paste rolled in sugar with powdered sugar on top, drizzled with molasses and a speck of coconut. Glad I didn't go for a bottle!

Perfect lemony tea. Not much leather, but I only dabbed. I love it anyway.

At first sniff this smells exactly like The First of the Three Spirits. As I'm wearing it, the skin musk comes out quite strongly. I'm able to identify it only because I have an imp of Neutral it gets kind of perfumey, but later on the musk settles and melds with the sweeter elements of the oil. It's quite nice. Not what I was expecting though. If you are looking for a less BPALicorny version of this, try The First of the Three Spirits. It's almost exactly the same.

Bitter currant with lovely bright lemon zest. Yet there's something weirdly vegetable about this scent. Like most of the 2012 Metamorphosis series, I'd describe it as planty.
-
Tomato vomit. I hate that I don't love any of these bug smells
-
This is the only BPAL that turned into baby powder on me when it wasn't listed as an ingredient. bad luck with this round of bugsā¦

A lovely orange jasmine sausage! With wild plants. Not my fave.
