O Okay, I confess I only ordered this because I feel as a BPAL fan, I really should have tried O by now. I LOVE honey and the other notes are fine, so I figured there should be no reason why this wouldn't work on me. Opening the imp and smelling directly from it, this smells exactly like Hecate. Upon first application to my wrist, it still smells like Hecate! Why am I getting almond from this? WHY?! As it settles down, it still smells like evil almond, but also has a nice foody quality to it. I'm wondering why people say this smells like sex. Does sex smell like delicious pastries to them? It's also burning. Crap! I declined to implement the old scrub 'n' pray, instead opting to tempt the fates and endure the burniness. Thankfully, it only lasted a few minutes, and eventually morphed into a delicious warm honey scent. Mmmm...it's like bathing in a hot tub of bubbling honey. I love this. I only wish it was stronger. 4 out of 5

'Tis the Voice of the Lobster I wasn't expecting much out of this one. Admittedly, I only put it on my wishlist because it sounded so unusual. This was a huge sleeper hit for me! It's lovely. Woody and fruity at the same time. I smell pretty much all of the listed notes, except for the mandarin. I mostly smell the strawberry, and that's just fine. It's delicious. After a while, a jammy sort of smell emerges, and it is to die for. The wood is present through all stages. I this lobster! 4.6 out of 5

Schrödinger's Cat This perfume is essentially a thought experiment. It's mostly citrus, but it's such an unusual citrus. Zesty and soft at the same time. The soft part of it reminds me of Dorian. I can also smell the lavender. Fascinating. 4.3 out of 5

Dirty This isn't a clean linen scent at all, to my nose. It's very sweet and cloying. I think what I'm smelling is plumeria. It's alright, but it doesn't thrill me. I feel like I've smelt it before. 2.5 out of 5

The Hanging Gardens My stars. This is awesome!!!! It's sweet but not too sweet, fruity but not too fruity, and green but not too green! Just perfect. I smell the quince, fig, pear, and rose the most, and a little fir. It's juicy. It's humid. It's complex. It has a richness that is glorious on me. I love it! 4.8 out of 5

Penny Dreadful This smells like tahini or peanut butter on me. The dirt in Nosferatu works beautifully for me! Why is this so...wrong?? Phooey. 1 out of 5 *ETA: This was frimped to me from the Lab!

Hecate THIS IS AN ALMOND BEAST. Holy cow. You know that pink soap they have in public bathrooms that smells like almonds? That's Hecate. Thankfully, the almond checks itself after a while and it turns into a nice myrrh-y scent. Nice, but kinda meh. Oh yeah, and it was the first BPAL to burn my skin. 2.5 out of 5 *This was frimped to me from the Lab!

Horreur Sympathique Oh my. I got giddy when I smelled this one. The honey note is SO REALISTIC! Mmm!! The wine isn't boozy, but cushy and indulgent. I like! This is bottled opulence. This is what I imagine Hedonism Bot smells like! Or maybe Winnie the Pooh... 4.8 out of 5

Squirting Cucumber Wow! Smells just like a real cucumber. It's sweet and refreshing. I can smell the greenness of the cucumber skin. Mmmm. After it dries down, it gets a sort of creamy quality. Not a sweet creamy, more like a yogurt creamy. Interesting. I wish it lasted longer. I'll try it again on a warm, sunny day. 3 out of 5

Shango Eh. I don't love it. All I smell is bananas, apples and vague creamy/spiciness. Good lasting power, though. Wish I smelled the coconut more. I'm gonna let it age and see if I like it better that way. 2.5 out of 5 *This was frimped to me from the Lab!

High-Strung Daisies Smells like watermelon in the imp. O_o Curious. Oohh...this is very girly! The watermelon goes away once it's on my skin. Turns into candy corn! Yum! 4 out of 5

Queen Gertrude This smells just like Violet Ray on me! It's a little fresher, but otherwise identical. Staying power is not as good as Violet Ray. My skin amps the violet in this blend and I can't smell any of the other flowers. Oh well. It's fresh and clean and has a decent throw. 3 out of 5 *This was frimped to me from the Lab!

Tezcatlipoca I get no leather from this at all. To my nose, it's identical to The Malignant Dreams of Cthulhu in Love (ThinkGeek exclusive) plus some flowers, and minus the saltiness. I'll have to do a death match to be sure, but I think I prefer Cthulhu in Love. 2.5 out of 5

Imp OH man. Instant love. I think I have a weakness for fruit + patchouli. This is juicy, woody, sexy, impish. This is LOVE! 4.99 out of 5

The Witch's Garden Rats. I really wanted to like this. All the listed notes sounded so wonderful and interesting. Especially the rampion, carrot, parsley, and sage. Unfortunately, it smells like sushi and white flowers. After it dries, it smells like white flowers times infinity. Ugh. I don't like smelling like a bridal bouquet. Interestingly, it smells like Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca in the imp. A little menthol-y and very green. I wish I was able to smell some of the vegetables. On the plus side (if you like this one), it lasts a very long time. 2 out of 5

Nosferatu The description of this one drew me in. When I read it I HAD to have it. It was one of the imps that made up my very first order. I love this. My first impression was that it smelled like one of my friend's houses from childhood. It doesn't smell like a grave or a crypt to me. It smells comfy and homey. The wine is very soft, barely there and not at all alcoholic. It's more like a whisper or suggestion of wine. The herbs and the dirt come together to form a smell almost like fresh cut flowers. Like a greenhouse or the inside of a flower shop. On me, the dirt does not smell dry. It smells fertile and moist. I love Nosferatu. If I could change anything, I would make it last longer and have a stronger throw. It's a very subtle scent, and I wish it would be more "in your face" because it's so wonderful. 4.5 out of 5

I had reviewed this a while ago, when I didn't really understand it. I have grown to love this so much. This is the first metallic scent I have ever tried. I love the musky drydown that lasts forever, as well as the complex, citrusy opening. This is awesome on its own as well as layered (I like it with The Lights of Men's Lives or Haunted!). I just can't get enough of it

Urd In the imp: Holy...! WHAT IS THAT?!!?! Wet on skin: Hmmm...what IS that?... Dry on skin: Mmmmmm...grapes and patchouli! How interesting! How rare! How wonderful! Hours later: *huffing wrist* oooohhh yeeeaahhh.... 4.9 out of 5

Vechernyaya Golly...this is fancy smelling! I definitely smell each listed note. Vechernyaya confirmed my love for patchouli and musk. The poppy is very sharp and pronounced wet on my skin, and softens as it dries. I love every stage of this. It has a decent throw, though not too strong. It lasted quite a while on me. I can see myself craving this every once in a while when I want to feel fierce and fabulous. 3.9 out of 5 ETA: This was frimped to me from The Lab!

Black Opal I slathered this one like CRAZY. Mmmm!! The oil is crystal-clear in the imp. Goodness gracious, it is delicious. I think someone said that it smells hot and cold at the same time. I agree. It smells snuggly and familiar to me. It's a complex scent but it doesn't change much from in the imp to drydown. I would say this is a good enabling scent. Cannot imagine anyone disliking it. 4.5 out of 5

Eat Me Wowza. This knocked my socks off when I smelled it directly from the imp. It's SOOOOOOOOO strongly cakey!! It's like a cake-scented candle. Or cake batter ice cream. Mmmmmmm. The currants make a transient appearance when it's still wet on my skin. After that, it's all cake. Maybe an eensy smidge of currant if I huff my wrist after drydown. My mom was able to smell this from really far away. I was at the bottom of the stairs and she was at the top and she said "I smell you! " So yeah...the throw is pretty strong. This is DELICIOUS. If you're a fan of foody smells, this is definitely for you. 4.5 out of 5

Dracul This is...Christmasy. o_O It really is. It's nice though! Pine, orange, and clove dominate in the imp and wet on my skin. After a while, the tobacco comes out to join them. Hours after drydown it is still very strong with a VERY heavy throw. Spicy oranges are quite pronounced through all the stages. A very masculine scent. 4 out of 5 *This was frimped to me from the Lab!

Out of the imp, this smells just like Lemon Sugar by Fresh. Smells the same on my wrist when wet. After drydown, it turns creamy to the extreme. The tea is never strong at any point but still there. I can't detect the musk but I wish I could. This smells very foody and lemony to me, though lemon isn't listed in the notes. Kinda reminds me of a lemon poppy muffin. The throw is very very VERY light, but it does have good staying power. I do not agree that this is a unisex scent. It's way too sweet for that. I think everybody should wear whatever smell they like, but I just can't see this appealing to men.

Szepasszony Where is it?! I barely smell anything directly out of the imp! Maybe it's because I've become so used to strong BPAL oils? After I apply it to my wrist, I can just make out a faint glue-like smell. The kind of glue that seals envelopes. That and bathroom spray. Yuck! After a while though, it warms up and begins to smell like a familiar perfume that I can't remember the name of. Nice enough, but pretty boring. 2.5 out of 5

Violet Ray Dry, bitter, and astringent. I don't get the coldness that other people have. After a while, the woodiness comes out. It's a dry woodiness that's a little bit harsh. I do get a mentholated feeling in my nose if I sniff it directly from my wrist after drydown. Other than that, it's woody and warm. Very odd. Hours after application, the violet finally comes out and it's very soft and candylike. 3.5 out of 5
