I love this. The amber gives the patchouli a dusky sweetness that isn't cloying or overwhelming...has a slight masculine vibe..not "girly" sweet at all. I've gotten a lot of compliments when people hug me and can smell it in my hair. I have baby fine hair which gets greasy easily, but I find that I can spray this pretty liberally in my hair without it weighing it down. Which is great because I find myself slathering it because it smells THAT GOOD I think this would do well as a perfume oil. Beautiful stuff

I love patchouli everything so this should have been a win but the peach completely took over (just like the apricot did with Depraved). It turned to rotting fruit on me and I couldn't wait to wash it off...which was tough because this stuff has some serious staying power.

Fresh on it smells like Dorian with some chai spices and then some pumpkin in the background. After a few hours it's a spicy blend of Dorian...slightly foody. Even though it's a minimal amount of pumpkin, it's a bit too cloying for me. I'd rather have my Dorian without the pumpkin I guess.

I get leaves, bonfire smoke and apple cider..slightly powdery..it's Autumn in a bottle and I love it.

This stuff is AMAZING. The patchouli is incredibly mild and I just can't pin down the sugar parts. I have to spray a lot on to really get a good throw from it, but luckily it's not too heavy to weigh down my hair (which is fine and oily). Later in the day it has a light creamy sweetness to it, but if I'm going out I usually spritz on some more. It may be the best smelling stuff I've ever sniffed from the lab or anywhere. Wow.

Definitely a cleaner patchouli...I don't get honey (luckily), but just a very very faint sweetness..if at all. To me it has the feel of Grave Pig without the fig. My skin eats it up pretty quickly so I slather it on

This is for Devil's Night 2011.. I keep trying this decant in the hopes it will mellow a bit, but it has a bit of a sour edge to it. I think it's the booze, because I don't seem to have much luck with other boozy blends either. No smoke..just sugary booze. It's not bad, but just a bit too sweet for me.

Mostly musk (I'm having trouble discerning between the black and red) with just enough honey to sweeten it. The rose is slightly in the background...I don't get any leather at all. Dries down to a soft powdery yet dark and sexy scent. Mostly I use it as a moisturizer/ perfume...I don't want to waste my only bottle in the tub I too would love to see this as a perfume oil. This was my first Trading Post buy...I have so much love for the post

Gah, this is gorgeous . I can't believe I've never reviewed it before! It's fresh over-turned soil with the fig hovering gently in the background. A mellow, grounding scent that is also dead sexy. Light throw...needs to be slathered on which is fine with me. I could roll around in this stuff all day Bottle!

This is such a bright and happy scent! I get a tiny bit of grass, but I agree it's a "sunny" bright scent and not "green" per se. If Bub had table scraps I'm thinking they were of the pastry variety? I get pie...I have no idea what kind It's just one of those scents where I keep sniffing and just can not pin down what I'm smelling! So glad I got to try this. Really unique!

I absolutely love patchouli/smoke scents so I was REALLY looking forward to this scent. Unfortunately all I'm getting is linen...or fresh soapy laundry. No smoke, no patchouli ...maybe it's my skin chemistry? Bah. I was hoping for a "dirtier" peasant blouse I suppose Still, it's a very pretty, clean and fresh scent that would be great for summer. I'm gonna let this little decant age for a bit and see what happens.

Whoa..this is strong stuff! I pulled out my decant to see if it mellowed with age but it just gets stronger . Smoky foodie cocoa..and I agree with other reviews that get "coffee". I've decided most foodie scents are not for me, but I can see how others would love this. Oh well.

MMMM...like birthday cake right after the candles are blown out. I get sweet icing and a little bit of smoke. After an hour I can really pick out the champaca which is one of my favorite scents. Definitely needs slathering and stays pretty close to my skin. I wish it had a bit more stay-power and throw because I just want huff my wrists all day long. Definitely a keeper.

I tried this last today after slathering on all my decants earlier. In the vial it was syrupy sweet so I wasn't ready to try it this morning. On my skin it smells like golden happiness in a bottle (or sun in a decant in this case). Mostly I get the copal and agave and leaves. I don't get any tobacco or rose. Overall, this scent makes me very happy. It's very light and different from my usual dark patchouli scents so it's odd that I love it this much. I will give it another test run tomorrow and see how I feel. Overall this is just gorgeous light in a bottle though

In the vial: Vick's Vapo-Rub ..I had trouble forcing myself to put this on my wrist! On skin: Wow, my sinuses are clearing up like mad! In a few more minutes it mellows to more of a pine/orange scent. No, no, must go wash off NOW. I could handle the eucalyptus better than the later stage of orange and pine tree. The smell is making me slightly queasy now. Gah.

I was frimped this by a lovely forumite last year. I was hoping I would get more of the patchouli/headshop that others mentioned from it as it aged. Unfortunately no My skin is mostly amping the raspberry and pomegrante and a bit of the frankincense. After 4 hours at work: I smell like my Great-Aunt At the end of the day: I can still smell it faintly as plumy incense. Overall, a fruity scent with a smoky quality. I can see how others would love this but it's just not my kinda thing. Really glad I got to try it though!

I tried this on this morning after letting it sit in my overflowing imp box for two years and wow am I so glad it gave it another try! When I tried it fresh from the lab two years ago it was sharp to the point it made the back of my throat burn, but now that it has aged it is just gorgeous. I definitely can detect the orris, coconut husk and a tad bit of incense. Brown and comforting smell, not "foody" coconut and definitely dry. It does remind me of Death Cap (one of my faves) also but without the mushroom and less sweet. I definitely see a bottle purchase of this in my future So glad I kept the imp!

OH MY...who knew that burning tumbleweed could smell so, so good ??? Smoky and sweet grass on first application, after 15 minutes or so the sage starts to peek out. Has great staying power and the drydown is gorgeous! Reminds me of the fall nights I spent in Tucson..sigh. Me thinks I need a bottle of this before the Weenies come down!

Midnight on the Midway broke my heart ..I stalked it..worshiped it from afar, finally got my hands on some and then.......WTH?? In the vial...sugar foody floral??? On my skin, rancid candy apples ....WHY, WHY WHY??!! I keep trying, hoping things will change between us but eventually I gotta scrub it off in a frenzy. Sniff.
-
Another imp generously given to me.....Very light blue floral..not getting ANY snake oil from it. Very cool spring/summer scent, and I can definitely see the other forumite comparisons to B&BW Cotton Blossom. Unfortunately not my type of scent, but happy I got to try it.

ZOMG, I am in LOVE!!!!!! This was an imp given to me by the lovely enabler samarablackcat and I am eternally grateful because I would never have tried this by its description! In the vial all I could smell was the bamboo and I thought..meh, but then I tried it on later and WOW! I don't think I have ever smelled a perfume like it, but oddly enough it smells like a saltwater taffy/gift shop at the seashore , odd comparison I know but Heavenly to me. I really don't have the nose or vocabulary to describe this but it is stunning. The bamboo phase doesn't last too long as the snake oil comes out a bit more, not sharp or very green on me at all...more like a lusher softer version of SO. My skin unfortunately eats it up (like most of my faves) so I put some in my hair and I can smell it wafting about my shoulders all day *sigh* This will most likely be my first bottle order, cause I am in LOVE!!! :love!:

Mmm..spicy incense or a smoky chai tea! Not getting any florals on me (luckily). I can still smell this on my wrists towards the end of the day. I also wonder if there is patchouli in here somewhere?? Awesome scent!
-
I love wearing this when I need a comforting scent. Very earthy and grounding..slightly powdery and creamy soil with a hint of coconut? gorgeous! Possible bottle and definitely need to have an imp in my collection at all times.

Thoroughly corrupted: amber, sandalwood, black patchouli and cinnamon. So sad..I really thought that I would fall in love with Sin. When I first apply it it is warm cinnamon, slightly sweet with patchouli peeking out underneath. Nice, really nice a warm cozy scent............but twenty minutes later it has morphed into my Pop Pop's cherry pipe smoke..argh! Will hold onto the imp for a bit longer. Hoping to try it at a later point (maybe my body chemistry will change??) I really want to love Sin as much as a lot of others seem to..bummer 10/25/2011 So this is another imp I've been aging and wow did it mellow nicely. No more pipe smoke, just yummy smoky cinnamon and a very subtle patchouli. So happy I gave this another shot.
