    Tiki Princess

In the bottle: Mostly floral, a hint of something cool and sweet. Not quite minty, but gives that same chilly impression. Wet: Smells like the love child of Obatala and Eden. No impression of that cool, almosty minty scent. Dry (30 minutes): Smells like it wants to be a pina colada, but not quite. Hint of something dusty/spicy underneath-maybe the ala ala wai nui, since it's in the pepper family? 4 hours later: Faint whisper of pineapple. No throw-can only smell when sniffed where applied. My overall impression is that it's okay, but nothing I need to hoard. I'm glad I only bought one bottle. This really didn't give me the POW! Coconut! I was hoping for.

    Jezebel

Biblical witch, priestess of Astarte, and general troublemaker. A true role model for today’s upwardly mobile Modern Woman. A gloriously decadent blend of honey, roses, orange blossom and sandalwood. Sticky, cloying sweet floral. The honey and orange blossom seem to overwhelm the other notes in this scent. Much too sweet for my tastes.

    Snake Oil

I wanted to love this, but it seems as this is a love it or hate it scent, I've fallen onto the hate side of it. Wet or dry, it smells the same-generic churchy incense with a slight, medicinal undertone.

    Detestable Putrescence

In the bottle, DP did in fact smell like melted vanilla ice cream. On the skin though, it took on a very unpleasant and plasticy note.

    I Died For Beauty

I Died For Beauty is one of my favorite poems, and one of my favorite floral BPALs as well. I was surprised to like this, because most of the notes sounded entirely unappealing-i got it as a frimp from the Lab. As it is, this is a light, ethereal, sophisticated sort of scent. It's floral, but not at all heavy or cloying.

    Veil

A very light, floral and feminine perfume. Definitely a springy sort of scent. The lilac, gardenia, and violet are the most prevalent-I don't really get any wood from this at all.

    Belle Époque

To me, this smelled kind of generic and nondescript. It could have been a drug store perfume.

    Phantasm

At first, this smells like lemon dish detergent. Once it dries, it fades to a sweet, lemony candy kind of scent, reminiscent of Lush's Bohemian soap. It doesn't have much throw or staying power-after an hour, I couldn't smell it at all. I was kind of shocked that I didn't get any floral from this, since jasmine and neroli are both very strong scents, but I didn't get the mat all from this.

    Saint-Germain

This is my boyfriend's favorite cologne, and I like it on him a lot. To me, the amber smells more woody-smoky, but it combines really well with the lavender. It's definitely a very sexy guy smell.

    Juke Joint

I've never had a mint julep, so I have no idea if this smells like one. I got it as a frimp from someone else, and could tell from sniffing it from the bottle that it was more of a dude scent, but I wasn't really impressed. I gave it to my SO, but damn...it smells freaking amazing on him! I can't describe it, but it's just got a warm, masculine kind of smell to it with a hint of sweetness. I absolutely love it on him-I'll definitely be ordering a bottle in the near future.

    Ultraviolet

I was excited to see neroli listed as a note, but it's not there at all. In the bottle, this smelled so strongly of eucalyptus that I almost gagged. It reminded me of cold medicine and being sick. I actually tried wearing it on a day my sinuses were acting up in the hopes it would clear them, but was surprised to find that the eucalyptus faded almost entirely within 15 minutes. From that point on, it smelled only of violets, and reminded me very strongly of Lush's Bathos scent. My boyfriend said it smelled like old lady perfume, and I'd have to agree. I don't like it, but fans of Bathos probably would.

    The Jersey Devil

Living a stone's throw from the Pine Barrens, I will say they smell nowhere near as pleasant. At first, in the bottle and wet, all I get is tomato leaf, which isn't especially pleasant. I almost washed it off then and there, but after letting it dry for a while, the cranberry really comes out. It's a sweet cranberry, not too tart, and very pleasant. Definitely an autumn or winter kind of scent.

    Mata Hari

5 roses is an apt description, as rose is all I smell from this, both wet and dry. It's very heady and cloying to the point that it gave me a headache. I was disappointed that the vanilla and tonka weren't more present-I couldn't smell them at all!

    Ulalume

This to me smelled like freshly turned grass and dirt. I don't care for it at all, but I've noticed that aquatic notes rarely work me. I don't smell flowers at all, but I don't like lilies either, so perhaps that isn't a bad thing. Honestly, it reminds me of walking in the woods by a cemetery at the end of fall, when all the plants and trees are dead and dry.

    Blood Kiss

There's just too much going on here. When I smell this, wet or dry, it reminds me of church incense and something unpleasant and indescribable. Way to strong for my tastes. I really can't pick out the individual notes, they all kind of blend together, but not in a good way.

    Black Pearl

I'm ambivalent about this one. I love coconut, but don't smell it at all here. It's certainly not unpleasant, though. To me, it smells like Nutella exploded on some flowers. A very warm and sweet scent.
