  1. Would someone mind telling me HOW I have lived without this scent in my life? I'm freaking out. Send help.

It is the perfect vanilla scent. Yes, we've got the saffron and cream too but on me, it is smooth and silky vanilla. It has a sort of clean edge to it too. Forgive me for not being more descriptive with that, but it's hard to explain.

Like clean, silken bed sheets that had been spritzed with vanilla absolute.

  2. Gosh, this is wonderful. Dark and woody and underscored with black musk win.

I have a bit of an obsession with letting my BPAL age before I use it (especially if it has patchouli, musk or wood notes) but this one is too good to immediately stow away in a dark place. Only a little is needed for amazing throw and it lasts and lasts like woah.

Absolutely gorgeous. Smoky and sultry and... yeah. I'm hooked!!

  3. This is my number one favourite out of all of the pies. And of course it is. Marshmallow is one of my all-time favourite perfume notes.

For me, the top note is cookie. I get chocolate chip cookies like woah when I open the bottle.

On my wrist, it becomes all-marshmallow-all-the-time-marshmallow and then the cookie returns, along with the pie crust. The chocolate sings a little louder and then it all balances out into foodie paradise heaven.

I want to swim around in a pool filled with this and then I want to eat slices of this pie until my teeth ache. Perfection.

  4. This is my second favourite out of all the pies. My husband makes the best key lime pie in all the world, so I had heart-eyes when ordering it. It does not disappoint in the least.

A blast of fresh, zingy lime leaps out of the bottle to spank my nose. On my wrist, it's creamy... soooo creamy.... and then we get the tasty pie crust.

As it dries, the notes mingle together and I'm huffing like mad. The throw is quite wonderful. It The lime stays true even an hour later and the creaminess stays put also, something that doesn't always happen for me.

This is effing fantastic. Not one to miss, for those who enjoy their gourmand blends.

  5. Pretty sure this is the same banana cream pie from Splatter Comedy! That much is a massive WIN.

Before discovering BPAL, I would *never* have said I could enjoy a banana perfume. Splatter Comedy proved me wrong and this one just cements that face that banana perfumes can be absolutely gorgeous in every way. Sweet and fun and silly.

This is simply banana-cream-pie crust and in its simplicity, there is pure pleasure. I adore this. One of my favourites from this update.

  6. Gosh, the blueberry note in this is to die for. It works so well with the cream. I've never eaten real blueberry cream pie, but if it's anything like this perfume I can imagine it's the most delicious dessert in all the world.

This reminds me of Bones Trombone, but it's sweeter and softer and much more fruity. It's more blueberry cream than pie crust, but that's just fine :)

  7. This was the only one out of the set that I had reservations about but because I'd already added the other six to my basket, I couldn't leave it on its own.

Ripe, honeyed peach. Buttery pie crust. It invokes summer days and toothsome treats. This is so sweet, it's romantic. I adore this <3

  8. I expected this to be a lot like Mother Shub's Pumpkin Pecan Treacle Tarts but it really isn't. It has a very fruity top note that was a total (pleasant!) surprise.

The pecan and pie crust come out during the dry down and when it's all settled, it's the MOST perfect pecan pie perfume in the world. And of course it is. It's made by goblins!

  9. A light and sweet snow single note. This is very, very nice indeed.

In the bottle, it has an almost fizzy quality to it. It's cold and effervescent and makes my nose tingle. There isn't an obvious mint note, as far as I can tell. Or not at this stage in testing anyway. The coldness from it is quite unique.

Wet on my wrist, the fizziness really pops. This is actually rather soft and not at all chilling. It is starting to remind me a great deal of Go To Sleep, Darlings and then... out of nowhere... the mint jumps up. It's quite startling really, how it's so hard to detect in the bottle and then how it leaps out and says 'HEY, GURL.' So we get tingling mint and then that starts to calm down, thankfully.

By the drydown, we have returned to a soft, fizzy and beautiful snow perfume. This is gorgeous.

Also worth mentioning - my husband walked in whilst I was working with this one and he immediately stopped in his tracks and asked 'what is that? it smells gorgeous!' So given he was standing about ten feet away from me, the throw is seriously impressive!!

  10. Favorite pastime: creeping around gullies until the opportunity to steal milk appears. You do you, buddy.

Coconut cream, sheep’s milk accord, and a drop of Ceylon cinnamon.

This was an insta-buy for me because I am a slut for anything coconut related.

In the bottle, it is all sheeps' milk with the coconut and the cinnamon nicely balanced.

Wet on my wrist, it becomes very decadent and I'm falling madly in love. The coconut starts to sing louder now and it's just so effing beautiful, I can't even. The spice from the cinnamon is subtle and absolutely necessary. The sheep's milk is there too - perfectly creamy.

On the drydown, it stays true and the throw is amazing. I am so good right now, you have no idea. This blend makes me smile so much.

An hour later, we're still giving off huge waves of spiced coconut-cream perfection.

This really is one beautiful blend. It's stunning! Gosh, I could with a vat of this so I could swim around it. 10/10

  11. I have a TON of BPTP atmosphere sprays and most of them tend to be 1) spooky or 2) musky and sexy.

What I really wanted was something fruity and pink and girly and a bit silly too. That is what I found in the incomparable Zombie Moon. This is an explosion of cherry ice cream and dazzling Barbie-doll-pinkness.

I've got vanilla there, a tiny smidgen of coconut and a SMACKINTHEFACEBYADRAGQUEEN cherry. This room spray makes me smile so much because it's just so much fun! It does not take itself seriously in any way, shape or form and it's so beautiful and delicious too. I wish I'd bought more than one bottle because I know I'm going to tear through this one in no time.

    Effing fabulous.

  12. I decided to save this one for a day when it had rained and I was in the mood for hot chocolate. Last week, I took my greyhound out for a walk and as we went about our usual adventures together, the skies opened and it poured it down with rain. When we got home, I made cocoa and I crammed my mug with vegan marshmallows. Yummy, much? Uh, YES. Perfect way to warm up from a cold autumn day too.

Muddy Puddles smells of what I've just described though it has to be said that the main notes are the chocolate and the marshmallow. I only get the tiniest hint of an aquatic note and no mud at all. It is a lot like the GC blend Bliss but with oodles of marshmallowy goodness too. If you are a fan of Beth or Ted's chocolate blends, then I implore you not to miss out on this. It's truly gorgeous. The sentiment behind it is beautiful and the execution of this blend is absolutely perfect.

    This is wonderful. 10/10.

  13. I'm not really getting jellybeans from this, but you know what? That's okay. I bought this because I very much fancied having a popcorn blend around. I love eating popcorn and I adore the scent of it too.

Movie Night is the BEST popcorn perfume EVER.

The popcorn is all there - sweet and salty at the same time, fluffy and yellow, delicious and buttery and evocative of happy times in movie theatres or time spent cuddled up with my husband at home in front of a good film.

This is a seriously nice and foodie blend. It stays true on the skin and is happymaking due to the positive associations. I love this! <3

  14. I am a sucker for caramel/rum/tobacco style notes and so this was an insta-buy.

To me, this is caramel candies and toffee lollipops. I get the rum but oddly enough it isn't all that boozy. Instead, it is creamy and sugary. The vanilla and tobacco are there too. Everything has married beautifully and the resulting blend is a true and moreish concoction that makes my mouth water.

The throw is incredible. It also lasts for hours and hours. I adore this stuff.

  15. Back before my nose became educated on perfume, I would never have thought I would *ever* want to smell like red wine. Centzon Totochtin changed all that and with that particular blend, it was love at first sniff.

This is the second red wine blend I have been instantly seduced by.

It is sexy and fruity and the cherry note sings so beautifully. I expect that this will age very well as I wait for summer to come around and then I'll be wearing this as I lounge around during those hot months, reading tacky erotica books and keeping myself cool with a peacock feather fan. Blood Sangria is the perfect red wine scent for long, heady summer days. I cannot wait to wear this to death next year. Yum.

  16. As soon as I sniffed this, I recognised notes from Bite Me, a Weenie from 2009. This pleased me because I LOVE Bite Me and I hoard it like there's no tomorrow. It's the creamy caramel note, I think.

In the bottle, Brain Stem Lollipop is all delicious caramel and it is sooooo gooooooood.

The apple comes out when it's wet on my skin and even moreso after the drydown. I am so unbelievably happy with this blend. It is like Bite Me and Poisoned Apple had a lovechild, but the lovechild is deeper and richer than her parents. The apple isn't biting or crisp, it is mellow and sugar-sweet. The caramel aspect is toothsome and creamy and very, very sexy too. No, sensual. This is a very sensual blend.

This is a gourmand fantasy come true. If you like sweet apple scents, get this. If you like Bite Me, then this is your chance to try an apple version of it. I absolutely love this and I just know it's going to age wonderfully.

    Guh. I am in love.

NOTE : there is definitely no 'fleshy' note, so if you're concerned about the 'brain' element then don't be. This is a straight-up apple and caramel blend and it is freaking delicious.

  17. Oh my word, this is wonderful.

This is Ferrero Rocher chocolates with a plummy undertone. The staying power and throw are both excellent. I get the 'fuzzy' element and the hint of dry spice from the pepper and sandalwood. Not getting any hay.

This is a very sophisticated and delightful chocolate perfume that would be very playful and sensual on either a man or a woman. Just beautiful.

  18. It's taken me a while to get my paws on this and I am so, so glad I managed to bring it home.

In the bottle, it is a soft vanilla-rose to me. Very cosy and feminine and sweet. Wet on my wrist, I get a little bit of frankincense and then the red licorice comes out to say hello. One of the main reasons why I wanted this was the red licorice.

Combined with the rose and the vanilla, it really is so very beautiful and unlike any other BPAL blend I've tried. Gorgeous.

  19. Finally managed to track this little baby down and oh! We have love at first sniff!

On me, this is a smoky sandalwood at first but as soon as we're at drydown we have rose-scented gummi bears. I know that probably sounds bizarre, but that's what I have here and I am very happy too! About ten minutes later, we get incense and white musk too.

    Gosh, this really is divine.

  20. This is so innocently sexy. It's very subtle but has great staying power and medium throw.

I love pumpkin blends and this is a really special one - all creamy and sensual. The smoky vanilla comes out on the drydown and it's mesmerising me with its gentle sweetness. As this ages, I can see it becoming deeper and denser, perhaps with a similar creaminess to Boo. The pumpkin will hopefully deepen alongside with it and then this alluring little lady will learn how to strut.

Very nice. Recommended to those who are looking for the perfect subtle pumpkin blend. You'll be seduced, but not overpowered.
