Not really specifically looking for GC equivalents but! One of my favorite blends is Falling Leaf Moon, and my bottle is now almost empty. The Halloweenies included Pile of Leaves scents this year, and now there's been time for people to try them! (the reviews made me want most of them, but limited funds, so) Which is closest to Falling Leaf Moon? (or if there are other currently available scents that come very close, lay them on me too, but I'm hoping one of the Pile of Leaves scents will work)

I am terrible about picking out most notes so I won't try. All I can say is that there isn't actually any chocolate to this one to my nose. In the bottle it was bitey and something that I hesitate to call spicy exactly, all over a sweet undertone. Very delicious. It smelled almost exactly like that wet but the bite changed a little and got wetter smelling. I want to say it almost smelled like there was a dash of dark rum in it? There isn't any rum listed in the notes though. Dry, there are two radiuses of scent. Away from the wrist, the bite is still there (spicier now but still rum-like) with a sweet, juicy undertone. Close to the wrist it's a very dry spicy scent that's almost smokey. I was desperately hoping this 13 would work on me and I am so glad it did. I almost wish I'd sprung for a second bottle.

I'm getting brand new leather rather than old and also the citrus-fruity scent that other people are getting. Just a touch of wood underneath--which is weird because I tend to amp a lot of woody notes. Now I'm curious which wood it is... The citrus was strongest wet but it stays when dry. Good enough to keep for me, but I doubt I'll get a bottle because the new leather is very sharp and I'll only occasionally wear it. I may kick myself if aging softens the leather up but ah, well. That's life.

Anyone know scents similar to Falling Leaf Moon? I've worn it for three days straight and I expect I will continue to wear it often once the honeymoon phase is over.

With this Thirteen my collection is complete! Thirteen being my special number, I just had to get them all, and thankfully they've all loved me back. This one is a thick chocolate in the bottle, but not a sweet chocolate. It's smooth and tangy. I'm going to agree with other reviews and say almost boozy too. On wet, it's still strongly chocolate but a little less boozy. There's something underneath I just can't place. A few hours dry it's a much...dryer scent. Hints of chocolate and a dose of spice (pretty sure it's clove, but a mellow clove). Something nutty too. I didn't really get much fruit (I expect my skin ate the fruit scent and possibly amped the spices) but it's still a very wonderful smell. I cannot express how happy the Thirteens working on me has made me. Overjoyed. I'll be wearing them a lot, I'm sure, and I hope the lab puts out a new blend for August.

The "cold" part of the description is absolutely perfect. Hypothermia is definitely very very cold. ...but I bought it unsniffed because I wanted mint, and the reviews said mint! Alas, no mint on me. I have tried it three times and my right wrist always smells of soap. The left is actually quite nice, just, no mint. (why they're so drastically different I've no idea but Ded Moroz does it too) I might keep a bit for summer but most, if not all, of the bottle is going to swaps. Back to searching for a mint-scent for me.

Got this as a frimp in my lab order! Not a full review because I had to wash it off almost right away but when I put it on I got dirt--not clean fresh earth but a rancid, overpowering dirt. I didn't get any apricot at all. And then it set off my asthma and I had to wash it off. Not a bad attack, thankfully, but my asthma definitely doesn't get along with something in Depraved at all. I need to figure out what. To the swap pile it goes And I was looking forward to the apricot.

I am mostly interested in bottles of the Shungas, Salons, and Lunacies though all the bottles have very aesthetically pleasing labels and I'd like to have one of everything. ...I just don't have enough room to collect everything so I'll just focus my efforts on those. OLD BOOK! My dream scent; I have found it! I've been pouring through descriptions and reviews since I found BPAL looking for an "Old book" scent and this is definitely the one. It is very green to start but then the green fades a bit and it really does smell exactly like an old book to me. My nose has been glued to my wrist ever since the dry-down started, but the beginning is very nice too. :D I get wafts of vanilla too, but I don't smell any when I sniff my wrist. Hmm. Either way, I must get more of this. A whole bottle, at least.

Now that I've tried all the Ars Draconis blends except for Dragon's Hide and Ladon, I thought it fitting that I should ramble about them as a group. I'll start with Dragon's Blood which wasn't what I tried first but is the base of the other scents. I'd tried both Dragon's Heart and Dragon's Claw and was expecting the warm almost spicy note I'd smelled in both to be what Dragon's Blood smelled like. Silly me, I put it on and "Waugh! Flowers" They weren't as strong as Dragon's Eye so I kept it on instead of washing it off right away. Good thing I did, because the flowers did go away (mostly) and revealed something kind of like I was expecting, though...brighter? I guess? Not bad, once the flowers leave, but I need to try it again to see if the flower stage is worth waiting through. Probably not something I want a full bottle of, however. On second try, the flowers stayed too long and too strong--into the swap pile it goes. Dragon's Heart on the other hand, I loved from first sniff. I can't pick out any notes in it (except that it has that warm, almost spicy hint in common with some of the others) but it smelled amazing. I'm glad I decided to try all the Ars Draconis, in spite of reservations about some of the names/notes, because otherwise I would not have tried this. I need to try it again to see if I can pick out notes, now that I'm getting more used to BPAL scents, but I'm pretty sure I want a bottle of this. Dragon's Eye was another one I wouldn't have tried, and I almost wish I hadn't. It was my first huge failure. "WAUGH FLOWERS" all the way. It was almost nauseating. If it changed later I'll never know because I could only stand it a half-hour or so before I had to wash it off. Dragon's Claw on the other hand, was a huge success. I think it's my favorite of the ones I've tried. A very warm and sharp scent and I was sniffing my wrist continually. Need a bottle. Dragon's Musk was nice, and turned surprisingly ...fruity? later. Not much to say about it--needs trying again. Second try: nice but not something I particularly need more of. Dragon's Tears ...is this the dreaded "baby powder" I've read about in reviews of various scents? I think it is. I had to wash it off 15 minutes later. Second try: actually the first few minutes are amazing but then it goes weird and baby powdery (not exactly baby powder on close inspection but close enough to be mistaken on random whiffs). If I could keep the smell of the first ten or so minutes I'd buy a bottle :| Dragon's Milk ...sour milk in the plastic bottle. That's exactly what this was. I need to check the notes and see what caused it D: ... I tried it again and let it sit for a while after reading the notes were vanilla--the sour turned nice and sweet but there's still a strong hint of plastic which ruins it. Boo. It would be nice without the plastic. Dragon's Bone very dry! Bone dry, even. I liked it, but I was still reeling from Dragon's Milk so I'm sure I didn't get the full effect. Need to try again for a detailed test, but I know already I want more. Dragon's Reverie flowers! But they started fading the instant I put it on. It got spicy after so I think it's a keeper. Tanin'iver Loved it! Spicy and warm. I definitely need more. All in all, I still love Ars Draconis and hope for more scents to try out someday. And I definitely want to try Dragon's Hide and Ladon (though I expect I won't like Ladon that much but I've been surprised twice already!).

I must have had something on my skin or something the first try because no soap smell with Himerus the second time either. However, it was a horrible sleeping scent. It aggravated my insomnia like whoa for some reason. It took a long while for me to drop off (the smart thing to do would have been to wash it off but, alas). It was still there when I woke up and I was still getting very faint whiffs when I did wash it off. I'm going to take a guess and say my average wear-time will end up around 10-12 hours. Note to self: check out the Somnium scents sometime. The reviews all seem to mention lavender, which I love on the plant itself (my poor dead root-shocked lavender plant, oh how I miss thee), but I have no ideas besides that. The name of Baku definitely pings me so maybe I'll try that first. My random pick of the day is Ded Moroz. It's so sharp and clean and amazing. I think I may have to get a bottle because I can see myself wearing it a lot. But definitely washing this one off before bed--I feel wide awake, even though I was tired before. And I haven't had any caffeine today. ... Huh, now that the Ded Moroz has settled I'm noticing that my wrists smell different! The left sweetened and got a bit flowery and the right is more like when it was first put on. Weird.

Wow, Iron Phoenix lasted even longer than Hay Moon. At 12 hours it was still very noticeable--I had to wash it off. Still having trouble washing them off too--I must remember to look for something that will help. Randomly picked out Himerus from my tiny tiny stash for tonight. I really like how this smells in the bottle, sharp and herby. It gets sweet on me very fast--my sister claims to smell honey--but it keeps that sharp scent too. I love it and when the imp runs out I will probably buy a bottle. Going to bed now; will report how long it lasts tomorrow. Hoping it's like Hay Moon and doesn't turn to soap at the end like they both did first try.

Lasted a good 12 hours before I couldn't smell it anymore. So long lasting! Applied with a toothpick this time and wasn't all overwhelmed--toothpicks from now on for me! Still can't quite figure out what it smells like, but this time I smelled a grassy scent in it--not hay, or at least, not the hay up in the hay-loft hay-- and it was nice. And no soap smell this time! Whatever it was the last time seems to have changed (or maybe I slept through the soap smell). I think I need to find a new container to store my imps in. When I reach in to pick one out my fingers come away smelling like the scents--maybe one is leaking? must check. Today I randomly picked a scent without looking and picked up Iron Phoenix again, and I really like how it smells about a half hour after applying. I'll see how long it lasts and then pick out something else to try long-term after it fades.
