In the bottle, this smelled very fruity to me. I was worried. Wet, it was still fruity, but becoming something more floral and plant-like. I am not a fruit or pretty flowers kind of girl, so I was still hesitant, but continued on into the dry down process. Dry, the blackberry smell is subtle and combines well with the heather's floral plant smell. The combination creates a sweetness that is different from fruit or flower. I don't know whether this is a 'me' scent, but it is lovely. I will definitely be looking around for additional scents with heather notes.

These are great recommendations! Thanks to all. I think I am going to test out Loup Garou and Yggdrasil next, as those were two where I didn't see much mention of floral/fruit/musk components in the review section. I'm definitely looking for something unisex and non-perfumy right now.

I definitely get amber, a little rose, and sandalwood. These are all very good things. However, the whole combination reminds me inexplicably of this scented powder my mother had around when I was a kid called Charlie. Every time I get a whiff of this I am taken back to that Charlie powder from my parents bathroom. It's kind of weirding me out. Update: It's been on for a while now, and the former weird nostalgia smell has changed into something fantastic. It now smells like what I had expected from a scent called Baghdad. The warm sweet spices combine exceptionally well with the round wood notes. It makes me think of browsing at an outdoor bazaar in the evening with gold lights illuminating the streets.

I have worn Black Forest twice now, and I think I may have to give up on it. While I love the way it smells wet (juniper and pine tempered by the musk), once it dries all I can smell is musk and a faint, blunted pine. Where did the juniper go? Are there any woodsy, foresty smells that do not contain musk?

In the bottle, this smelled very sweet and "perfumy" to me. Extreme lemon and honeysuckle Wet I got the green tea and thought, "maybe this could work for me." (I received this as part of a many-imp fantastic holiday gift.) The green tea had an authentic dry, somewhat bitter aspect to it. This balanced out the flowers and lemons. However, once the oil dried down, the tea was gone and the scent returned to its former perfumy flower state. If I take a really big sniff and concentrate on finding the tea, I can get a tiny bit, but not enough. The honeysuckle makes it smell like summer, which I suppose would make it a nice thing to wear on a gloomy, icy winter day when all the snow had turned to gray slush and you needed something, anything, to cheer you up. Too sweet for me.
