The jury is in and the hubby and i agree that this smells like baby powder and bandaids on me. Color me with the disappointed crayon.

Spicy, peppery, woody with a touch of green and gold. It's a soft mellow scent with and underlying warm sharpness. This feels like a meditation/calming scent to me. Ah geez another one for my ever growing must have list...*sigh*

I ordered this solely on the tamarind note as I am a fiend for that stuff (not to mention that a tamarind soda brought me and my hubby together). While it is a busy complex scent, it is by far one of my new all time favs. There's "something about it that reminds me of something" kind of like the old import shops in San Francisco i used to shop at in the 80's. Or maybe it's the Xmasy feel that TygherRayn identified? This is one of those scents that when I wear it I will be surprised if no one notices or asks me about it. I give it 4 D's... Distinctive, Delightful, Decadent & Delicious!

Out of all the imps that i got in my last order this one popped out at me during the initial sniff & check. I'm not a fan of green scents but this has a bite of metal too it which compliments the green note perfectly. As stated previously there's no real discernable individual notes (altho i do get that slightly lemony soapy finish that bottoms out with a (sandal)woody sort of bottom note. This is a completely out of character scent for me but i totally love it and will be putting it at the top of my 10ml list. *edited to add* I wore it again today and just as i passed my daughter in the hall she very worriedly asked if I smelled something burning. I walked back into the room and she looked at me rahter incredously and said, "oh, nevermind...it's you". I'm on fire baby!

Agh! No single notes that i can pick out as all i can smell is aquanet and soap. It's way too overpowering and cloying. My body chemisty definately doesn't like this one.

I got this as a freebie with my last order. I'm not a big fan of rose scents at all but this is is okay. The initial tea rose scent wasn't cloying or overpowering at all (like most rose scents are for me). After about and hour the snadalwood started to come out more with a slight hint of the patchouli in the finish. Overall a nice scent. I think i will give this to a firend of mine that is really into rose scents to see if she likes it.

I recieved my package today after a long wait only to discover the oil had leaked to the point of seeping through the box (altho my mailbox smells wonderful now). It was bad enough that i took pics. Labels were soaked through and i had a helluva time getting everything wiped clean as the labels got uber schtiky. I'm gonna try that nifty nailpolish trick someone above mentioned to keep the labels in place.

I orderd on 4/22 and shipped 4/29 but i have yet to recieve it. ~Sharon

So bummed as i really wanted this one to work out. On opening the imp I got the rush of the sweet almonds but as soon as I put it on my skin it turned to "Luden's cherry flavoured cough drops" Yuck! I did give it a few hours to "change" but unfortunately that didn't happen. It did fade rather quickly and become less offensive over time. I gave the boi a whiff and he was like.. "Eh..." So this one goes into the swap pile.

My first impression of Velvet in the vial was Frangelico and bittersweet cocoa. Two things i totally adore. Wet it instantly began to smell like peanut butter...gah! On dry down it did mellow over time but it did take awhile and then settled down into a more bittersweet Nutella aroma. Over the remainder of the day it began to go all warm and nutty on me again (no peanuts this time thankfully) with undercurrents of cocoa and sandalwood with a very slight almost peppery finish. Unfortunately no myrrh notes to be found on me which is sad as I think that would have trully blanced it out for me. Overall it's alright just a bit too foody for my tastes. Being a wood snake i likes my smouldering woods a bit muchly.

The day i got my package of imps this ones cap popped open right after i smelled it for the first time. My computer room reeked for the first three days and i absolutely hated it. On the 4th day through I noticed and change as the sharpness of the carnation had mostly dissapated and the remainling notes were nice enough that i decided to try the remaining few drops on my wrist. Wet the overpowering note is carnation on me which i hate but that tones down to nothing and as the day goes on it morphs into something diferent everytime i smell my wrist (which was quite often that day). I am so bummed that I only have a drop of two left. Bummed enough that I will need to get a 5 ml of this.

I LOVE Sin! Wet in the bottle, drydown and all day... love it, love it, love it! All the notes balance perfectly and the staying power is fantastic on me. The scent mellows through the day into layers with initial notes a soft and powdery amber, over a warm resiny smell, finishing off with a slight tinge of the spicey cinnamon. I am definately going to have to order a 10 ml of this.

First impression in the bottle it smelled orange/jasmine. Wet i had a scent flashback of this one suntan oil that i got in the UK back in the 80's (i think it was bergasol?). Dry down more of the florals come out with the sweet orange/jasmine tang. Later on the Lilac, gardenia and ylang ylang are getting way too overpowering for me. Enough so that I have to wash it off. Way to floral and heady for me. This goes into the swap pile.

In the bottle i detected musky lemony amber. Wet the lemon is strong in the forefront but on drydown sweetens and the amber resin pushes it in the background. The amber and musk balance nicely with just a hint of tartness at the end and the staying power is very good. I really liked this one and will defo be getting a 5 ml of it.
