Favorite Scents
Dorian, Lilith Victoria, Snow White, The Girl, Mountain of Bone. Non-BPAL I love LUSH's Black Pearl (chamomile, lavender, black currant, frankincense, myrrh) and Haunt's Empire (amber, vanilla, incense). I love vanilla! I also like lighter scents, mostly foodie and sweet. Some aquatics, musk, amber, incense. Florals are VERY iffy with me, and please no vetiver!!!!! Did I mention vanilla?

Soap. This smells exactly like Dove soap on me. Very disappointing. It's super strong though! Florals and I don't always get along so I applied VERY lightly and it is still going STRONG after twelve hours. I'm actually really impressed by this! This definitely reminds me of sticking my head into a basket of freshly laundered clothes. Not for me!

This would be the perfect room freshener scent. It's a really juicy apple with just a little something extra tart. I just don't like it as a perfume. My boyfriend thought it smelled like potpourri, and while I don't agree I do understand where he is coming from. It's pretty much exactly the same for me from first sniff, to application, to drydown. It disappeared after a few hours though. I tested Punkie Night, Sugar Skull, The Madwoman, and Ghoulish all today and all the others are still going strong. Punkie Night was the only one that couldn't hang!

WOW cherry and amaretto like WHOA. This was crazy super strong on first application. Once it dried down the amaretto really took a backseat and it was mostly cherry, I definitely got a hint of coconut too. Pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. Unfortunately it isn't a winner though. It's really interesting but I just can't see myself wearing this too often.

Brown sugar. Yep. I really don't smell any fruit, it's pretty much just brown sugar. It's a nice scent but I don't see myself reaching for this very often, if at all. Actually, after wearing it for almost twelve hours it is still as strong as when I first applied and now I do smell a fruitiness behind the brown sugar. Maybe blackberry? I'm not sure but it is much prettier then the straight up brown sugar. However it took twelve hours to get this way so I'm still thinking this is probably a swap.

Pom I is a nice fruity scent with a hint of sweetness and a hint of floral. I like it but it's really not me. I can't see myself wearing this so I don't think I will be keeping the imp. The wear length is also quite short on me. It starts off strong, but it was completely gone not even five hours after I had applied. It actually reminded me a bit of The Fruit of Paradise, but I like The Fruit of Paradise MUCH better then this.

I thought Boo would be an instant love, but I'm actually really not feelin' it! I think it is the linen note that I am not liking. Boo is very sweet, I can definitely smell marshmallow and sugar and butter. But then there is a strong linen component too and it just ruins it for me. It's also not very long lasting on me. Less then five hours after application I can't smell it at all anymore. Boo will be finding a new home, thankfully I did not just buy the bottle as I was so tempted to do!

Hmm. This is pretty. It's pretty much just straight up incense. There is a little something sweet in the background though. It smells sort of like a cake sitting in the middle of a room with incense swirling all around it. It's hazy and the cake can only be seen through the swirling smoke. Is there lavender in here? There's something almost herbal, maybe it's lavender? I'm not really sure. I have a LOT of incense blends though and I just don't think this is really all that special. I still haven't found an incense blend that I think is better then Haunt's Empire. I think I will test this once more and then send it off to swaps if I'm not blown away.

All I get from this blend is violet. The tea is totally lost. I don't get tea, any greenness, anything herbal, or clean/astringent at all. All I get is straight up in your face floral. I have serious issues with florals though and I'm realizing that I amp them like crazy. I put on a tiny dab of it on and I was in the bathroom scrubbing my arm raw after a few hours because the scent was making me so sick. It looks like this one is definitely a no for me.

Okay this is TOTALLY Captain Crunch Berries!!!! I kept sniffing my arm and being like this smells sooo familiar... but I couldn't place it. I hate that cereal but I remember my brother eating it! Wow, it smells exactly like this. I like the sweetness of the blend, but this pastry note is really throwing me. I just don't like it. I think I may retest this before making a decision. It's pretty and fun, but I'm not sure if I actually like it as weird as that sounds.

CINNAMON. Seriously as soon as I put this on all I smelled was cinnamon. I got a hint of something sweet underneath and a bit of pumpkin pie spiciness, but I really had to huff my arm to smell anything other then cinnamon. I was hoping that after drydown it would be a little bit more then just cinnamon but this stayed pretty much exactly the same as the hours passed. I do not like smelling like cinnamon so this will be finding a new home =(.

Light, darkness, kindness, and malice: golden amber, white amber, redwood, teak, bois du rose, sage, tree moss, and snow. In The Bottle: Do not like. At all. I smell mainly mint, with a hint of something almost fruity? Strange, and not very pleasing to my nose. Wet: Hm. Mostly mint, but .. something else? I actually forgot about this one for a little bit, I must admit I was not impressed at first and wasn't paying the utmost attention to it as I thought it was certainly going in the swaps pile. Then 1-2 hours later: GORGEOUS! Soft rose, with something, maybe the snow note? adding a little creaminess, and the amber adding a touch of sweetness. Seriously beautiful. The dry-down is just something I never would have imagined from sniffing the bottle, and I'm so excited to have another awesome blend =). 6 hours later I needed to touch up, and that's pretty standard for most perfumes on me. All in all, I'm so glad I didn't just wash this off immediately and banish it to the swaps pile, love it.
