Love it! What fun. The mintiness is perfection. The vanilla is delicious, and rounds this one out nicely. Hubby liked it too.

I had a really unusual experience with this one. I got it as a frimp with my last order. Once it dried, my experience was very similar to a lot of others'.... very smoky, strong, campfire-like, acrid. But, wet.... it actually started off smelling desolate and cold. To me, it smelled like a still-damp big gray boulder after a bone-chilling winter rain. It smelled musty and, well, just very cold!!! I guess this is a testament to how hard it is for our nerve endings to tell the difference between extreme heat and extreme cold. Overall, I find this one fascinating, but not something I really want to smell like.

No surprise here... my sweet tooth and I just LOVE this one. I love the fruity, sugary sweetness, and the bright happy feeling this one imparts. I also really like the sweet pea note. Unexpected, but just right. Should've ordered two bottles...

Oh, how I love this scent. This was the first BPAL that I tried that made me understand why everyone loves BPAL so much! I love the sweet berry and green tea notes. I love the way it makes me feel like I am walking through an enchanted forest when I wear it. I love the way it smells sweet but NOT innocent. Yum! This is in my top one or two of everything I have tried.

This one is really sensuous and sexy! To me, this is an artfully done blend of honey, amber, and vanilla, as many others have said. What strikes me most about this one is the warmth that radiates from it. I actually feel the physical sensation of warmth as I smell this one (maybe like a lover's breath...) Unfortunately, it did have a baby powder drydown on me, so I don't know if I would wear this regularly.

I have a love-hate relationship with my Sugar Skull 2005. I haven't reviewed it until now, because my opinion keeps changing. When it is wet, and with the initial drydown, it is so overwhelmingly boozey, I am afraid people will think I am drinking! But it also has sort of a warm, seductive, addictive quality, and I keep putting it on, even if I had intended to wear something else. After a few hours, it smells like sweet, carmelized sugar. It seems to go well with my chemistry. At that point I really like it, but that phase only lasts about 30 minutes, so I reapply, and smell like booze again. Hmmm... not sure what to do!

I love this one. It just makes me happy! I did a side-by-side comparison of 2004 to 2005 and couldn't tell any difference. It has, for me, a jovially sweet, vibrant, reddish-purple plum scent with a subtle floral background. I can almost taste it! It is indeed very sweet, but almost nothing is too sweet for me. Now that I have my fresh new bottle, which arrived today, I can feel free to slather. Yum!

I got this imp in September. I completely forgot about it until the recent update. In fact, I had not even tried it yet! So, I tried it today. In the imp, it smells bright, sweet, sunny. I smell mostly almond and citrus. When first applied, it changes completely! To me, the lavendar and mint are most dominant (similar to Lush's Ice Hotel BBS). This is a pleasant, calming scent at this stage. A bit sweet, but not too much. There are still some lemony notes, but they are in the background. As it dries, it gains complexity. It smells very herbal. The lavendar and mint gently make way for thyme (maybe that was the cold pizza smell someone mentioned earlier???) and almond. It fades pretty fast. After about 45 minutes it is almost gone. I think I am mostly getting a whiff of almond and mint.

The first time I smelled this, I thought it had a really harsh, masculine, metallic edge. It reminded me of the intense, hustle-bustle of a modern, neon-lit city that never sleeps. This time (a few months later), I can REALLY smell the cherry blossoms, giving this a soft feminine edge, with a crisp, lighter citrus note. I still sense the ozone, but the metallic scent is barely noticeable to me. This seems to blossom the more I wear it. It is almost as if I am smelling a completely different scent. I'll have to try it again in a few days to see what happens!
