    The Jersey Devil

In the imp: Pine and cedar. NIIIICE Wet: ARGH: Whut? I don't--what just happened? It smells of cranberry and ... basil? Tomato leaf? Something herbal. NOT A FAN of the wet scent. In 5 minutes: Pine! mmmmm. Pinus radiata. I like it! In ten minutes: Cranberry along with the pine. I don't specifically object to the scent, but I'm not sure they go together. Eh in 30 minutes: more and more cranberry In an hour: Less and less pine. Not my thing. One for the swap pile.

    Serpent's Kiss

In the imp: Vetiver and... almond? :/ Wet: Oh, nice! Some kind of heady floral. Maybe dragon's blood? Don't know what it is. It's good. In 5 minutes: Y, halo thar, almond. Yes, my note of doom makes an appearance. There's some other stuff there (? dragon's blood? Heady floral and cinnamon) but there is ALMOND so my nose is kind of obsessed. 15 minutes: Settling down to something soapy. I would say it's marginally less offensive, but as the ghost of almond lies unslain underneath all and cries for vengeance, it's not really :/ In conclusion: ALMOND. Will be giving this away. Or possibly ritually burning it so the evil spirit of the almond does not escape and haunt my house. (As a note, almond on someone else in limited quantities is fine. Almond on me=evil)

    Baghdad

In the imp. Salty (which would be the saffron) and a distant sweetness underneath. Amber? Wet: Mmmm. Spice! Nutmeg. AWESOME! Five minutes: Gak! Musk. DNW. (I took a chance: I don't like most musks and I know I amp it, but I was hoping this was a skin musk or something) 15 minutes: WOOT! I amp rose as well, and it's battling the musk and winning! I can still smell the musk underneath, though. The drydown: Musk and rose. I like the rose and don't mind the musk in combination, but WAH! I was hoping for something more spicy. 35 minutes: Oh hangon. The saffron is coming out. That's better. Still rose and musk, though. In conclusion, rose and musk. I don't object to it, but I don't love it either. Maybe one for the swaps pile. It smells vaguely oldfashioned, like something my grandmother would have worn.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

In the bottle: Wet and green Wet: MELON. Midori. A lot of melon! After five minutes: The melon has faded slightly. The floral, whatever it is, is very, VERY heady. As in tuberose/gardenia heady. Wonder if that's the spikenard? or maybe hyssop Where's the galangal and myrrh? I'm not smelling it. The melon continues to fade, but the heady floral remains. It's got some impressive throw and seems to last. I may have to try layering it with something. I don't mind it, but it doesn't grab me. I think this is one for the swap pile. Or maybe it will work better on my housemate

    Voodoo

In the imp: Vetiver and myrrh with a sharp tinge of lime. Wet: ALMOND. *gags* That's one of my notes of death After half an hour: Eh. The almond has softened, but it's still there. Along with vanilla. Where is my Myrrh? An hour: I might wear this occasionally, but these are not my scents. I get the feeling this might be better on other people.

    Lightning

In the bottle: Ozone and marine scents. Wet: A sharp tang, like the ground just before a spring storm After five minutes: I don't know. It went sort of sweet? That might be the lemon, I tend to morph that sweet. After 20 minutes. Light spring rain. I really like this scent, but almost on someone else. It's nto me, although I think I'll keep the imp for summer.

    Umbra

In the bottle: Vetiver! Mmm. With cedar behind it Wet: GAG. Um. You know those urinal cakes? That's what this smells like on me. After five minutes: Hmm. Slightly more cedar-y. A bit of patchouli underneath, but there's something. I don't know. It's that urinal-cake/medicinal smell. I'm not a fan. It gradually settles down over the next half hour, but the urinal cake smell mutates into musk. After 3/4 of an hour: Pure, pink musk with a tinge of cedar. Ugh. It's a shame my skin chemistry did strange things to this one. I do like the notes on paper and in the bottle! Edit:Hmm It does settle down to pretty much cedar, but there's an hour or so of musk. DNW.

    Ogun

I got Ogun as a frimp. It's not something I thought I'd like, but I LOVE it. However, it doesn't last on me In the bottle: Gin. Spice, but I can't smell what it is. Wet: Alcoholic, but I don't know what kind of alcohol. That goes pretty quickly and it goes into: Dry: SPICE. Oh yum! Cloves and cinnamon. Mmmmm. Lots of cloves. Also a slightly fruity smell, like sweet cucumber, or unripe honeydew melon. After half an hour: Still there. Dying down slightly. Spice is moderated by tobacco. Which is weird, I would have thought tobacco would give it more punch. An hour: Still there but dying down. A pepper scent is starting to come out. Two hours: pretty much gone. A slight sweet melony scent, some pepper and tobacco. I smell like old books. Which i quite like, but I just WISH the scent was stronger. There's throw for the first hour or so, after that forget about it. I really, really like the scent--I just wish it had more stickability on me.

    Highwayman

In the bottle: Vetiver. A lot of vetiver. And a little bit of tobacco. Wet: Vetiver. Rose warming through it. About 10 minutes in: Wow. Rose is smoking a pipe and bought clubs and gardenia is armed with leather belts. They're having a fight on my skin. This has some incredible throw and lasts on my skin. These are big, thuggish florals that aren't afraid to be tough. It's definitely a red rose. 20 minutes in: Huh. Gardenia is winning. Slight vetiver underneath. an hour in: Gardenia still winning. Can smell the vetiver. Two hours. Rose seems to be getting the edge. 3 hours: Still lasting. Still strong. Rose is winning, but I can smell the leather underneath and a little vetiver. This is GORGEOUS. A definite bottle for me.

    The Scales of Deprivation

In the bottle: A light herbal scent. Slight citrus tang. Hmmm. I morph lemon sweet, hope this isn't the same. Wet. Herbal and lemon. A sharp scent. Hmm. Nice. After about 30 minutes: Okay, there's some sweet earthy/slightly smoky scents coming through. That would be the vetiver and I think I can smell frankincense, but it seems to be far lighter/sweeter than usual. After an hour: Musky, but not a sweet musk. It doesn't smell the same as Jicky (which has far more lavender) but it sort of feels the same. I can still smell it 8 hours later, after going to bed. This fragrance lasts. The frankincense, which is a shame because I love it. But on the whole a big thumbs up from me.

    Calico Jack

This was a frimp: thank you to hamletskeeper! In the bottle: Acquatic and rum and wood. Wet: PINE PINE PINE. Wow. That's a lot of pine. I smell like I've bathed in Pine o'clean After about 20 minutes: It settles down to salty coconut with an undertone of pine. Huh. I quite like it. Housemate grabbed my wrist and dragged me round the house with her, smelling me occasionally. I'm happy she likes the scent, but I do kind of have things to do... This scent has quite a lot of throw. After an hour: Then the scent morphs: It's SWEET. I smell like musk sticks and coconut ice on a pine tray. It's odd and I don't think I like this stage After two hours: I'm getting a tiny whiff of warm leather, which I like, and a lot more musk. Which I don't. May see if it turns out smelling the same on the housemate. After three hours: Gone. Just a slight sweet musk smell left.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

Hi everyone. First time poster here! Does anyone have any idea what would be similar scent to Bandit? It's a leathery chypre: Notes of leather, wood, and spice with jasmine and carnation, evolving to a sensuous base of vetiver, patchouli, and musk. (That's what the official site says) In addition to that, I get heaps of galbanum and wormwood and bergamot. I would also say myrrh in the drydown. It's dry as dust on me and I adore it Any ideas?
