In the vial, I think The Rose is absolute amazing, I can just imagine this huge, red velvety rose growing in my grandmother's garden... Unfortunately, when I apply it, it immediately loses the rose, and turns into a weird sharp soapy sap scent. I can't like this one, it really doesn't wear well on me.

Wow... Jailbait. In the vial, Jailbait smells like a freshly opened bag of kiddie mix, you know the kind of assorted candy with bubblegum and lollypops that you'd get at Halloween or for a birthday party... that's the smell, and oddly enough... a smashed banana. When I first apply it, it smells very sugary pink bubblegum. Once it's dry it's completely cinnamon gum. After about half an hour, it turns into the womanly perfume, still mixed with the gum... I LOVED this scent!! I wear cotton candy body spray all the time, so this scent is soooo me. I'm not sure that I'll end up ordering a big bottle though, because i seemed to have some kinda weird reaction to it- It gave me a red itchy welt where I applied it.

... Corrupted black plum, smoky opium and crumbling dead roses covered by a deceptive veil of Hungarian lilac, white gardenia and wild berry. OH MY GOD!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! In the vial, i get fruity (berries and plum). I'm AMAZED, normally gardenia give me such a headache, but when I put it on, I get get kinda a spicy cinnamon-y floral it's absoulutely BEAUTIFUL. I don't get any smoke what so ever, just this beautiful warm spice. It makes me feel seductive. This is definately worthy of a big bottle!!! I think when I'm my ater-ego role (I'm a roller derby girl, my derby name is Madam X-Rated), I'm going to make this my signature scent!

I wanted to love this scent solely based on the name alone... Unfortunately it did not agree with me. Wet in the vial, it smelled so...proud. But when applied, it turned into soap. Dial soap with green herbs and a lime twist. Not bad, but not what I'd hoped for. It's very strong and makes me feel like I need to go re-rinse the soap off. *sigh* Oh well, can't wear them all, I guess.

Well... I recieved an imp of Siren in the mail the other day, and was SO EXCITED to try it... when I popped the vial open, I was SEVERLY DISAPPOINTED... I really don't like how it smells wet. I get this sharp, kinda dirty smell. Maybe it's the ginger, because that's the only think I can think it would be. The other notes are lost behind this. When I put it on, (because I didn't want to just write this one off as a total loss with out trying it...) thankfully, vanilla notes become dominant on my skin, and that dirty ginger smell takes a backseat to the vanilla and jasmine, but it's still lurking back there. I'll have to try this one again at a later date. This one is probablly the first scent that doesn't work on me.

I ordered Anathema with high hopes, it sounded strong and mysterious to me for some reason. When I initially sniffed it in the imp, I was slightly disappointed. All I got was smoke. Smoke with a tangy flower background. I wanted to like it... So, trying not to be put off by my inital disappointment, I went ahead and tried it on. OMG- I'm SOOOO GLAD! The dry down for me was wonderful and though I'm not a big fan of alot of florals, this one wore on me amazingly!! I couldn't stop sniffing myself! I'm so going to have to order the big bottle of this!! YAY!

This was my first ever BPAL scent to try, and I ordered this particular scent because I'm OBSESSED with Ancient Egypt right now... It was definately not what I expected! It actually smells quite... hippie... to me. In a good way, like the incense that my best friend used to burn... For some reason, the Sandalwood note wore the longest on me, athough now, 8 hours after first application, it's a very nice, soft powdery floral. All in all, I really like this scent!
