I'm really liking this one. It is sweet and woody. I get no berries, thankfully (I don't really mind berries, but didn't want them here). This is a lunacy that I am very pleased I purchased!

Yes!!! I remember having the nail polish now too after seeing the photo. And I know I had the perfume, and can almost smell it in my mind. Probably the first perfume I ever owned, and the only perfumeI think until my first bottle of Love's Baby Soft. Little did I know how much other perfume I would have 40 years later...

It's been a while since I tried them, but Mother Ginger (Yule 2010?) and Playing with a Loaded Gun reminded me a bit of ginger ale.

Very sweet and foody! At first, I really got the dusty, cocoa smell, which was actually nice (sometimes chocolate and I don't get along in perfumes). My husband commented that it smelled just like "Calflac"... which is apparently a milk replacement product given to the calves of dairy cows. So perhaps it has a bit of a dried powdered milk scent also? Later the cocoa seemed to dissipate, and then it almost seemed like a sweet strawberry note was peeking out? I put this on in the morning and could still smell it late in the day! It had medium throw on me, for a BPAL perfume. I like this!!! I'm glad I have a bottle. It is a great scent to wear on days when I am wearing bright pink. It's happy, fun, and "cute", if a scent can be cute! Edit for Freudian slip.

I'm loving this one (and most of the other Gustav Klimt scents). This is beautiful, somewhat subdued red musk... I've been wearing a lot of sweeter, brighter red musks lately (Berry Moon 2011 and Luna Negra, both of which are wonderful, and WILF and Snake Charmer which are some of of my all time favorites), and this one is much drier and more elegant.

Mmmmm!!!!! This is just as yummy as I hoped!!! Dark fruit and sweet musk. Reminds me a bit of Panther Moon and WILF, two of my absolute favorites. My husband (who rarely comments on my BPAL beyond saying "it smells musty" or "it smells like weeds", said "Mmmm, that's good!".

That *would* be perfect, and totally awesome. Anybody besides me wearing Litha today, in honor of the solstice? Yes, I am wearing Litha today and loving it!!!

I actually got a lot of lemony-ness out of this one too... at first I thought it was because I had also put Benevolent Triple Conjunction on my other wrist... I do like lemon, and it smelled pleasant (although somewhat faint in comparison to BTC) but I was hoping for more vanilla, cocoa, and patchouli. I will try it again on its own. It seems like there are a lot of lemony scents lately from the lab!!

They are harder to find, but I would suggest Gun Moll and The Illuminati Cotillion.

i have to admit I was a little disappointed in this when I first got it. Fresh, the cassia dominated and it seemed to have almost a soapy character. Today I decided I needed a "red" scent and noticed this lonely bottle in my BPAL box, and decided to try it. It is really lovely now!!! The cassia is very bright at first, but later calms down. It has a sweet, warm, incensey smell that is comforting and a little spicy. The soapy character is gone. The dragon's blood is just a soft, sweet base and is not that strong in this blend. My husband really liked it too! Now, what other lonely bottles are hiding in my box waiting to be re-discovered....

I think this may be one of my all-time favorite scents from BPAL ever!!!! It is a lot like Snake Charmer, but with the yummy champaca from Panther Moon. If you like Snake Charmer and Panther Moon, I think this will be love.

ltrittipoe nailed this scent: Watermelon Jolly Ranchers!!!!! I will need to wear it again to see if it eventually morphs into something with time. I couldn't get past the Watermelon Jolly Ranchers the first time!

I really, really wanted to like this blend, and I thought I would, since the components are all "win" for me. Alas, on my arm it smells like cheap hotel soap I will try again in a few days before I make a final verdict... Edit: I wore it again this weekend. It does smell better after wearing for a few hours, but it still reminds me at first of some soap we used to have around the house when I was a kid. It is a bit too sweet or something... So disappointing! I really don't get any carnation, just orange blossom.

I am in full agreement with LunaLovegood's review. This is a really, really nice blend. It is rare that I wear the same oil two days running, but I am doing this with Whoop. Initially it is all about the pine. A freshly cut Christmas tree, dragged into the house. Later the pine takes a backseat to the other components, which are nicely balanced in a sweet but not cloying way. I worried that I would smell like a holiday candle... which maybe it does a bit, but in the very best way possible. My husband agreed when he smelled my arm: he said I really did smell like Christmas. It's a very happy scent for me!

Thanks to bheansidhe for organizing the circle of testers for these retail exclusives! The first time I tried this on, I loved it. It had a dark, sweet, sexy smell that I really, really liked. I thought I would have to get a bottle for sure. The second time (granted, this was first thing in the morning) it smelled like..... peanut butter for some reason!!! For some reason I cannot get past that peanut butter association. I like to eat peanut butter... but smelling like it, not so much...

I am not sure why, but this smells very much like Black Lace on me once it has dried down. The tobacco flower smells more like tobacco to me than the nicotiana I have grown in the garden. I think this is one I am going to have acquire in bottle form.
