In the imp, I'm getting a metallic note combined with the linen note in Black Lace in this, makes me uneasy. On my skin, it's a combination of metal and man. Hrm. We'll see what this does. The tobacco flower comes out as it does in many blends and dominates, turning this into my dad's cologne. yeah. Passing this on.

In the imp, I get woods and herbs. On my skin, it's pretty much the same. We'll see what this does. Ends up being vaguely reminiscent of Mr. Jacquel, but not anything I need to keep.
-
In the imp, this is a really light citrus scent; on my skin, there's a more aquatic glowing note that comes out with the citrus. We'll see how this goes.
-
In the imp, this smells like rose petals and stems. On my skin, it's very similar to Peacock Queen; velvety rose petals, along with a greener hint that wasn't in the other blend. Also, fades quickly; gone in a half hour. Don't really need this.

In the imp, this is spicy, dark fruits, smells like something like I might drink at Christmas. On my skin, this is pretty much the same, and quite potentially a bottle. Remains the same throughout, going to give it a full skin test later to decide whether or not I want a bottle. On the second test, though, the darker fruits amp as a little watery and the spices aren't as strong on both wrists, sadly; this is gonna be a pass.

In the imp, this is a tangy aquatic, vaguely reminiscent of Szepasszony. On my skin, it continues to be a pretty tangy aquatic. We'll see what it does. Ends up somehow becoming a citrusy aquatic. Not quite for me.

In the bottle, this smells like a cousin of aged Boomslang, but heavier on the musk and the tobacco. It's making me uneasy... On my skin, I'm definitely getting the black musk and the tobacco. Very, very masculine. We'll see how this turns out, but I'm thinking this might not be for me... Ends up turning into a powdery musk with tobacco. Not for me, sadly.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?
Venneh replied to Snow White's topic in BPAL FAQs
I placed an order on the 31st, and I sent them my email and checked up on the order today. I'd do it just in case. -
In the decant, this is really, really sweet; someone compared it to SweetTarts further up the thread, and that's what I'm getting, almost candied fruits. On my skin, it's really sweet plum/grape/pomegranate, with the honey and what I think is the vanilla note slowly coming out. Oh, this could be beautiful. Update later. The vanilla and the honey are appearing to mellow out the SweetTartness of it all. I think I need to do a fuller skin test to make sure that I'll like it as much on both my wrists and my neck, but I may be a-seeking this bottle out soon. On the full skin test, this ends up smelling like purple SweetTarts or Pixi Stix. Going to pass, methinks.

Got a half imp of this just to say I tried this. In the decant, this smells like the linen note from Dirty with incense and smoke. Hrm. On my skin, it's pretty much incense, smoke, tobacco, and linen. We'll see what happens. The creamy vanilla note comes out, but the smoke and incense buries it. Worth it just to say that I tried it.

In the decant, this smells like skin musk, amber, honey, and plum blossom. Oh, this may be beautiful. On my skin, it's pretty much the same, and as beautiful as I thought it would be. If this stays the same? This may be a DISO. Beautiful. Absoltuely beatiful. Ker-DISO!

Got a tester of this in a recent order; thanks again, fairynymph! In the tester, I get leather, vanilla, pear, and musk, along with woods. On my skin, it's a combination of leather, pear, vanilla, and I think a woodsy musk. Hurm. We'll see how this actually turns out. Ends up being a musky, woodsy leather; not really for me.
-
Yes, they're all-natural. No pre-fab. Nothing synthetic. Copy/pasted relevant information from Beth's response to you. Don't see how it's not clear.
-
In the imp, I'm getting lotus and citrus and herbs. Hrm. On my skin, the lotus and citrus comes forward, and is really sweet. We'll see what this does. Ends up going supersweet baby powder. Not for me.
-
In the imp, I'm definitely getting the fig and honey almond milk, with the toasted coconut and sandalwood lurking underneath. On my skin, the honey almond milk and the fig seem to be combining with the coconut, which may kill the blend. We'll see what happens. Ends up being toasted coconut. No, sadly. Swaps/sales.

Irrelevant and Disturbing Surreal Crawdad Dream
Venneh replied to filigree_shadow's topic in Limited Editions
An irrelevant, disturbing, and surreal scent: red currant, green tea, red musk, Hawaiian ginger, benzoin, vanilla, coriander, squash blossom, and blueberry. I'm getting ginger, tea, currant, and maybe the musk. On my skin, it's primarily ginger, musk, and tea. Not quite sure if I like this. Mostly ginger and musk on me, going to try a wider test. -
In the tester, I'm getting CLOVE!!!! On my skin, there's a bit of a candied orange note that comes out, but it's pretty much still clove. We'll see what this does. On my skin, this smells all like orange vitamins, it's odd. Not a keeper.
-
I'm getting a combination of florals and wine, almost mulled wine. On my skin, it's a combination of carnations, posies, and amber, a lot sweeter than I expected. Ends up being a floral watered-down wine with apple cider. Going to restest this. And even after several retestings, I'm not entirely sure what to think of this. This is probably going to take several testings before I figure out what I want with it. The watered down quality stays, even about a month later, so I think I'm going to pass it on.
-
It's a very green, smoky sweet sort of scent, and it's the same on my skin. Not quite sure what to think of this. We'll see what happens. Ends up being a smoky sweet scent, don't think this is quite bottle material, but will keep the imp.
-
Pretty straight up patchouli in the imp. On my skin, the orange blossom comes up a bit. Not quite sure what to think, we'll see what happens. Ends up being darkly sweet, not anything I think I need a bottle of, but I'll definitely keep the imp.
-
In the imp, this is cherry and lilies, pretty straight forward. On my skin, it's an equal balance of lilies and cherry; we'll see how this goes, being cautiously optimistic. It's nice, but nothing I need a bottle of. I'll keep the imp.
-
In the imp, I'm getting frankincense and violet. Hrm. On my skin, it's pretty much still frankincense and violet, with maybe some cinnamon in there? Not sure what to think just yet. Smells like incense soap. Ehhh.
-
In the imp, this is very sweet, almost boozy, with the oak lying far enough underneath that it might not be a problem. On my skin, it's very sweet, with the honey, molasses, and sugar cane dominating, and the oak wood seemingly nowhere to be found. We'll see what it does. Ends up being entirely too sweet, and the oak note curdles things on me. Ehh, going to pass.
-
In the decant, I get honeysuckle, and what I'm pretty sure is the mosses. On my skin, it's really sweet floral, with something else lurking underneath. We'll see what this does. Ends up drying down to a really powdery floral, not for me.
-
In the tester, this is a very bright, floraly scent, almost borderline soapy to my nose. On my skin, this is a very bright, tropical scent. We'll see what this does. ...Yep, tropical floral soap.
