I agree with Midnight Aeval's comparisons to L'Estate; I'm definitely getting something similar in the bottle. On my skin, this is an absolutely beautiful golden amber vanilla musk. This is the one out of the three that I was most desperate to work, especially with me going to Japan in less than two months now. Perfect scent for the Sun Goddess, and definitely far superior to v2. Full skin test tomorrow will tell whether or not I need another bottle of this, but if I can only get one, I'll be more than happy with this.

Got a tester of this, so we'll see what it does with the other version of Amaterasu (v3) on the other arm. For v2 here, I'm getting a creamy sandalwood note. On my skin, it's pretty much all sandalwood with a slight bit of creaminess underneath.

In the bottle, I'm getting sugary tropical fruits, with a hint of cherry blossom in there? On my skin, it's pretty much tropical fruits that are pretty quickly going rancid on me. ARGH. Two misses out of three so far with the proto bottles, so here's hoping Amaterasu will not fail on me.

In the bottle, I'm getting Boomslang, but with a softer chocolate note and a lot more heavy on the SO. On my skin, it stains dark like Boomslang, but not quite as dark as aged Boomslang, and I get more of the aged SO note like I do in the SOBO and the SO soap. Hmm. Unfortunately, it's all aged SO on me, and no chocolate; I think I'll stick with my aged Boomslang for my Boomslang fix.

#227: Vanilla and some sort of booze note. The booze seems a bit astringent, we'll see what it does on my skin. Once on, I'm getting a sweet, soft vanilla and almost a junipery booze note? We'll see what this does. The booze dominates and goes astringent, and I'm thinking this might be gin paired with the vanilla note, not quite sure. Might be rum, too, after testing Te Po. Either way, need to get this off.

In the bottle, I'm getting spun sugar, sheets, and cream. On my skin, it's sugar and linen, and absolutely beautiful.

Incense and wood and pepper in the imp, not encouraging. On my skin, the same. Yeah. Need to wipe this off.
-
Violets in the imp. On my skin, rose and violet. Hrm. We'll test this one out a bit. Rose makes it go straight to soap, though. Whoopee.
-
Sage and basil in the imp. On my skin, the same. And making me sneeze. ..Yeah, getting this off now.
-
Sweet pea and lily in the imp, we'll see what it decides to do on my skin. Green florals, and really bitter. Erm. Not quite for me.
-
Pepper and honeysuckle, first and foremost in the imp. On my skin, lots and lots of pepper. Great. Needs to get off my skin, now.
-
Getting lily and rose in the imp, hoping the pear and white musk amp here... and the same on my skin. Greaat. And gone in less than five seconds, too.
-
In the imp, Aureus is all wood on me. Light application. On my skin? Wood and nail polish! ...Yeah. This is probably going to get wiped off soon.
-
In the imp, I'm getting plum, lilac, and leather. On my skin, the same. Hm. We'll see how this goes... Dries down to plum/lilac with a bit of leather behind, giving it a full skin test.

In the imp, I'm getting honey and almond. On my skin, honey and almond and apple and a bit of myrrh. Really nice. And then the damn lily and rose come in and take it all to soap. *pout*

Got this as a tester in a recent order, can't WAIT to try it out. *bounce!* In the vial, this smells like a perfume version of the Jonathan's Coffee House Atmo Spray proto, and it's the same on my skin, with the deeper coffee taking precedence. Oh god, yum. Barring this going burnt like some coffee does to me, I might be adding this to my DISOs. Softens from the initial blast to a sugared coffee, very similar again to the JCH proto, and dear god, barring fail on the full skin test soon, MUST FIND.

Exactly what you'd think looking at the description in the vial and on my skin - blood amber, with the blood being dragon's blood, and just really excellent. Moving onto a full skin test, possible test against Dragon's Blood. Full skin test still shows a heavy emphasis on the dragon's blood, amber may be deepening it, testing it against Dragon's Blood later tonight, prolly.

In the imp, this smells like the ocean, really similar to the note I get in Egle and love so much. On my skin, I get that ocean air, sasparilla, and I think the leather-tinged musk, really sexy. Moving onto the full skin test. On the full skin test, it's all leather, patchouli, and gunpowder. Not getting a bottle of this, methinks.

Got a decant of this from skyleric, thanks again! In the imp, this is chrysanthemum and marigold and a bit of cinnamon, I think. On my skin, this is mostly chrysanthemum and marigold with the golden sandalwood and maybe a hint of amber incense? We'll see what this does. Ends up being similar to Kaidan but with more spicy florals, not quite for me, but glad I could try it.

Got a decant of this thanks to skyleric - thanks again! In the decant, I'm getting the plum blossom and the vanilla sandalwood. On my skin, this is all plum blossom with a hint of vanilla sandalwood and what might be the wild rice? Really nice. Giving it a second skin test, not quite sure what I think of it just yet. The vanilla sandalwood and the rice make it go a bit funky on me, so this isn't quite for me, sadly. Gonna pass this on to someone else.

I remember trying this one at C2E2, but the issue was that I was testing something like six scents at once, so I can't remember quite how it turned out. In the bottle, I'm getting chocolate, booze, and chemically leather. On my skin, I'm getting booze and chocolate and a faint hint of leather. Hrm. We'll see how this goes. Turns to chemically chocolate leather, not quite for me, sadly.

#221: Wow, whatever's in here, it's really strong. Amber and... what smells like cleaning solution, maybe pine? I've smelled something like this before, but I can't put my finger on it. But now that I'm smelling it more, it smells like lemon-lime soda, only gone wrong. Very, very light application. ...No, wait, I know what this is. This is the champagne note from the Champagne and... blends, and it always goes to fizzy ammonia on me like this! Well, now I know what's causing that, and off it goes. #200: Amber, and... something I can't place. On my skin, amber and maybe frankincense? Not sure again, can't quite place it. Fades quick, can't really place this, sorry for the fail review.
-
#114: Berries and maybe mint and frankincense? Not really sure. Going to try this on my skin, see if I get a better sense of things. On my skin, berries, maybe watermelon? And frankincense? I don't know, we'll see what this does. Watermelon and berries and frankincense. Not quite my thing, but who knows, maybe it'll be someone else's.

#114: Opium? That's the most I'm getting right at this moment. ON my skin, I think this is opium and something sweet, I'm not really sure. #107: Something faint in the bottle, maybe myrrh? Myrrh on my skin, may be something else in it, not quite sure. Both fade really quick on me, #107 leaves myrrh behind, #114 leaves nothing. Sorry I can't give a better review than this.

In the frottle, I'm getting grape-rose-opium, a really interesting combination. On my skin, it's mostly opium. Urgh.
