  1. Yep, that's the same Womb Furie i got :) It's from a vintage ad regarding the treatment Hysteria! I actually found the same ad when i was searching for images, thinking of putting together a Womb Furie icon. So cool that Beth used it for the label!

I'd seen it too! I ended up using Natalie Wood in Splendor in the Grass for the icons because I thought this one was too R rated, but I'm doing a an icon with this picture now because if Beth decides it's ok then I agree  . I think it's perfect picture for Womb Furie.

Yay! I can't wait to see your icon :) You're way more talented than i am!

Thanks, it's just practice, really. I liked the Black Heart you did, I think you should try doing some more! :)

I'm liking a lot of the label art and considering keeping some scents that are not working on me just for the labels, which is probably not very smart

  3. Yes, I can't think of another word to describe this except for gorgeous.

I can detect all the notes.

The musky and sweetness from the beeswax, the roses are sophisticated and add femininity, the wine note is delicious and the frankincense is definitely apparent and prevents the other notes from getting too sweet and rounds out the scent to be very classy and "grown up".

It's a very decadent scent. I imagine wearing this with a beautiful flowy dress and red nail polish, I don't why but that image come to my mind.

ETA: After awhile, the frankincense gets much stronger and takes the forefront.

  4. This is the only bpal wine scent that has worked on me, thus far. I find the bpal wine note to be a tad to too realistic for me, compared to other wine scents I've tried from other companies that I find to be more wearable.

    I've changed my mind...

This is smokey, robust and oh so sexy. I want to bathe in it, it's pure luxury and oddly comforting too.

I get the slightest cherry, plum and rose undertones in the background, and I'm getting tiny smidge of coffee and blood those two are hardly noticeable on my skin (I personally prefer it that way). It's gorgeously blended so I don't get any single note that stands out, all the notes just make it a very complex and rich scent.

I love it and it's met all my expectations.

  5. As soon as I sniffed this in the bottle I fell in love. It's a luxurious, sexy and comforting scent. I love the smokiness of the incense mixed with dark chocolate, the salt is very light and keeps the chocolate from getting too sweet. :cthulhu:

After a few minutes on, I start amping the aquatic notes (ocean plants and kelp) a little more than I'd like and the chocolate starts fading... :(... nooo come back...men's sporty cologne nooo...

I think I'll have to try it in my scent locket, it's one of the best chocolate scents I've ever smelled and my skin is ruining it.

It does smell masculine, almost like a male version of Black Temple Burlesque Troupe (without the musk).

  6. This is very different from what I was expecting, but I love it!

When I first sniffed U from the bottle I get a whiff of creamy vanilla, leather and the balsam gives it a resiny, slightly cooling, green/planty scent, it reminds me a little of aloe.

On my skin I got almost the opposite experience from GoldenRubee- the leather faded almost completely, the balsam softened and became beautifully blended with the vanilla. About 20 min. later my skin is amping the raw vanilla and it's an amazing vanilla. Like a vanilla flower just blossoming and it's not a sweet, cloying or foody vanilla. I am in love with it. Very "grown up" and fresh smelling.

It's a really beautiful blend. It's unique and it's quite a morpher for me.

  7. After reading through this thread, I think that I actually really like the slightly sweet, powdery musky smell I get from some oils.

It's possible that since I always use powder after I shower, I equate that smell to just showered, slightly musky skin.

I recently was frimped Queen of Sheba and I love the musky, almondy, slightly foody, powdery scent it dries to.

I also noticed a lot of my favorites dry a little powdery on me:

    Snake Oil

Boomslang (prob. from the Snake Oil)

Australian Copperhead (again from the Snake Oil)

Black Phoenix (prob. from the black musk, but I find black musk to have a slightly crisper sharper powdery scent on me)

    Scherezade (gorgeous red musky powder)

Haunted (I think this is the only Amber that has gone powdery on me)

Smut (a little powder on the drydown)

I'm looking for recommendations of more like these?

  8. WEREPUPPY
My little girl has caught her fair share of sniffles and sneezes in the past sixteen months, and some time ago it was brought to my attention that these illnesses seem to, without fail, occur right around the full moon.

    Coincidence?

A fuzzy brown honey-dusted musk covering freshly-washed baby skin and a howl of milk breath. In the background, there's the barest hint of upturned soil and dew-covered squished stems from a trampled flowerbed.

In the bottle: creamy baby fur!

Wet: a soft baby smell, like in Gladdener of Hearts, I'm also getting a little honey and that lovely "furry musk", no soil,(yay!) stems or flowers. It's like if Ivanushka and Stinky had a baby.

On my skin: the fur dissapears :( , a little baby powder comes out and as it dries it reminds a LOT of Stinky, just creamier and softer.

It's a keeper for me because I love baby smells and of course the label is too cute! :wub2:

  9. This is really well-blended and lovely. I get a sweet, slightly tart, pretty carnation. Carnation Wine?
After the dry down I seem to get a lemonade in the background, but it's probably the white grapes, they are smelling slightly citrusy to me. I love this, it's like a softly musky vanilla sugared and creamy pink limonade.

Very nice and fresh for the spring/summer.

  10. To me it smells like a Fat free Sugar Free egg nog, if that makes any sense.

I really was expecting this to be creamy (because of the milk) but it's not.

When I first apply it I get the egg nog but goes away quickly, it then dries to a water down, coffee w/skim milk, vanilla and sugar scent. It's ok but when I wear it I keep feeling something is missing from this scent. It's a little to light for me too.

I'll keep it because I love almost any Milk scent (except Milk Moon 07) hopefully it will age well.

  11. Well I'm almost embarrassed to say this because baby Lilith's face is on the bottle  but..

this is the SEXIEST chocolate smell ever on my skin! This beats out Boomslang for chocolate sexiness on me. I'm not getting glue (thankfully) but just deep musky vanilla cream and chocolate, and I keep getting hints of honey musk. I'm in  !

  12. COMFORTING PLUSH COMPANION
Warm, snuggly honey musk with sweet vanilla and a hint of rose and sugar plums.

What a snuggly pretty scent! :wub2:
I'm getting the honey, vanilla and a hint of sugared roses, I'm not really getting the sugar plums (which I prefer) . I also seem to be getting a foody cake note but it's not listed. A very comforting scent, a bit too light but I'll give it a couple weeks to retest when it isn't so fresh.

  13. It's Friday the 13th in the Miskatonic Valley! A base of Mother Shub's dark chocolate fudge, raw vanilla, and sibilant black incense dusted by thirteen merrily malefic, ill-omened herbs, resins, and flowers: prune, musk seed, baneberry, myrrh, wild tobacco, hemp, datura, bluebell, cypress, hemlock, snakeweed, opoponax, and black hellebore.

    I LOVE this!
When I first put it on I mostly get a musky, sweet fudge for a few seconds then as it begins to bloom on my skin I start getting it all-
the sweet dark musk, vanilla, fudge, tobacco, incense and resins with a just a smidgen of herbs, but it's very well blended.

As it starts to dry I'm starting to get the prunes, which are not my favorite..but it's kinda working.

It finally dries to a fudgy, smokey prune with some musk.

In conclusion, if it wasn't for the prunes I seem too be amping (which makes it a tad too sweet and tiny bit boozy) it would be amazing!
But I still like it very, very much! wub2.gif I hope with some aging the fudge, resins and tobacco come out more.

Edited to add: This is a big morpher! A couple hrs. later it's starting to remind me of Mme Moriarty without the red musk..it's tuned into a lovely sexy vanilla scent on my skin!

  14. Sophia reminds me of a perfume from bnevertoobusy called Love. I'm getting a jasmine/lavender/rose scent but I also get some citrus or lemon and that's what ruins it for me. It's a lovely perfume, but just not for me.

  15. Mmm..a lot of different reviews on this one.

I smell caramel ROSES with a bit of almond pastry. I have a perfume that's called rose pastries and it smells almost exactly like this.

I like roses, but this is not what I was expecting...

  16. I love creamy/milky scents, I still haven't found the perfect white creamy milk only scent, I don't know if it exists yet.

    So far I've tried:

Sudha Sehara (love the milk in this but it also has ginger)

Obatala (again love the milk but coconut)

Dana O'Shee (I love this creamy almond)

    White Rabbit (Creamy Linen)

    Stinky (powder and milky cream)

Boo (sugar, vanilla cream but too beige for it to be what I'm looking for)

The Gladdener of Hearts (milky pink)

Snow White (creamy almonds, florals and coconut, love)

Dragon Milk (don't like, too sweet!)

Milk Moon 07 (don't like too tart/fruity milk the grapes made this not work for me)

Nonae Caprotina (again don't like fruity milk but I like it better than Milk Moon 07)

Katrina Von Tassel (creamy roses, love)

Love's Philosophy (creamy vanilla, but turns plasticky on me :( )

Ichabod Crane (one of my favorite milky blends)

The one's I want to try:

    Zarita the Doll Girl

    Chaste Moon

    Organ Grinder

    Milk Moon 05

    Shadewell

    The Seafoam's Milk

    Egg Nog

    Phantom Cow of Yerba Buena

    Castitas

I know these have other notes in them and they're not just milk/cream but I'm hoping they may turn out that way on me.

    Are there any other recommendations?

  17. Luminous, otherworldly wet and piquant odors mingling with black incense, the pitch-stench of Yuggoth, and fungal lichens.

I knew this one would be interesting.

My nose is not very sophisticated but here goes my attempt at my first review..

In the bottle: Fruity lime/citrus (almost like a lime fruit punch), creamy and slightly aquatic. I also detect a linen note, almost similar to Antique Lace.
On my skin: as it dries I'm still getting lime, sugar and cream with a perfumey (aquatics tend to go perfumey on me) note.
After 30min. I'm still getting a Antique Lace lime and cream scent. I asked my brother and he said it was all bubble gum to him. Go figure!

It's a really lovely scent, but I don't like citrus scents so I don't think I will keep my bottle.
