I should learn to avoid florals, but vanilla, honey and sandalwood called to me. I should avoid amber too. So I guess I deserved the sinus spanking I got from Khajuraho. I smell like a sweet diaper. But, I have to say that this is an interesting scent. It morphs a LOT. In the imp and on I could have sworn there was jasmine, but on me it sweetened a lot. I think thanks to the vanilla. I won't be keeping it, but it's a blend to be admired for it's complexity. Kudos, Beth!

Hot damn I smell like a chocolate covered orange and I love it! I wanna bathe in it!

This is the hit of the Lupercalia scents for me, unexpectedly. I never considered myself a rose person but this is truly lovely. It's definitely a soft, understated, and feminine scent. Sweet rose and woods, and resins. It seems breathy and ethereal. It's a classically romantic scent. I adore it, I picture it to be the BPAL to wear at a wedding.

I think if this didn't have the tobacco, I would love it. Honestly, anything with tobacco in it makes me smell like a pack of Marlboro Reds, something I have no desire to smell like. Every other note in this is absolutely gorgeous and it's such a sweet, sultry blend. Unfortunately, on me it turns into a sweet, sultry ashtray.

On first application I loooved Smut! It was totally a 'go-out-and-cause-ruckus' scent. A girls' night out scent. A totally sexy and unruly scent. But all good things must come to an end, and it pulled a Sed Non Satiata on me and turned to sexy peanut butter. Damn. I'm gonna hang onto it and see if it (or me!) changes. Cause it was some HOT stuff at first.

This is absolutely beautiful. It's my HG light, clean, spring scent. It's fresh white tea with the sharp tartiness of ginger and it lasts on me. There's a sweetness to it that makes it such a sparkling scent. It makes me feel pretty, feminine, and girly. I wear it on most of my dates with the person I'm seeing at the moment because of how lovely it makes me feel. Kumiho has shot up to my top ten list fast.

Oh, I wanted to love this scent! I got drawn in by the hype, and I love saffron so I was really, really hoping this would be beautiful on me. Short story? It's not. I smell like a particular cheap headshop at the ghetto-ass mall I used to frequent. A friend remarked that I just smelled like sandalwood, but I can't shake the association. I don't get much saffron or sweetness or anything. I just smell like a dirty hippie.

This smells very similar to Antique Lace to me, with that odd mineral note that everyone's been spotting. It's nice, and soft. A very straight-up vanilla scent. I'm starting to find though that certain vanillas, especially the one in Black Opal and Antique Lace, tend to turn to sour milk on me.

This is the BPAL incense scent I've been looking for. It is so gorgeous. Since touring the grand cathedrals of France I've been longing for the smell of the incense that was burned when I visited. All the other beautiful incense blends (ie Cathedral, Aureus, etc) didn't quite capture the sweetness and tended to be almost all woods on me. Midnight Mass is true resin and wood, just sweet enough to ring true with my best memories. I think this is my runaway favorite of the Yules.

What else could possibly be more lickable at Yuletide? This is a candy cane perfume, minty, sweet and sugared. It really does smell just like a candy cane! I don't know how Beth does it! This is a lovely holiday novelty scent. It's sharp peppermint and smooth creamy vanilla on me. Like others have said, it doesn't have much staying power but leaves behind a light sweetness. It's a keeper for now!

According to legend, the birthplace of King Arthur. The scent of a castle's great hall in the midst of joyous feasting. Spicy mulled wine flowing through the musky heat, warm leather and bright clash of armor, the damp branches of Cornish hawthorn, blackthorn, juniper, English elm and bayberry, and the magical tingle of dragon's blood resin. Another one down in my crusade to try all the red wine scents. Tintagel is a very cold-weather scent to me. I get warm spiced wine initially, then as it dries it gets greener with a touch of cinnamon. Unfortunately, something in this blend turns soapy on my skin so it's off to the swap bin.

A soft, powdery floral that reminds me of grandmas and bathrooms. Florals and I are just not meant to be.

Sweet woods and cherries and currant. Yum! This is a very light, sweet smell. It was generously given to me by the lab and was high on my wishlist. I do get the occasional whiff of pencil shavings, but weirdo me likes that smell. I'll definitely use up the imp.

Smells like a sexy boy! There's no way around it. I like wearing it, and although it's traditionally masculine it breaks a record as being the first BPAL jasmine that doesn't turn to diaper on me! It's not something I will wear, and if I had an SO that was into BPAL or even cologne in general I'd pawn it off to him. If a guy wore this, I'd definitely hit it.

This actually scared me in the bottle. It smelled like butter and liquor. Like I just drank a bottle of Captain Morgan's and some of the imitation butter you put on movie theater popcorn. But on me it's a whole different story. It smells sugary and rich and very true to its name. It's sweet and stays close to my skin and in short is everything I love about foody scents.
