this is a sweet funereal floral scent. i am getting the feeling of a white floral too, like a lily-jasmine. at the beginning this reminds me a lot of sepulcher, which didnt work on me, but it's not as cloying as sepulcher was. i figured this might not be for me, but the description was so pretty that i wanted to try it!

i'm not sure what i'm smelling. i'm not too sure what stephanotis and palmarosa smell like, but i am getting a soft powdery herbal-floral. not what i expected at all. usually carnation goes all spicy on me, but that's not happening here. i kind of like this, despite the powderiness. it reminds me of the way that violet goes powdery, in a good way. not baby powder. hrrrm i may have to try this one again to give it the final analysis. eta: it reminds me of my grandmother, who wore oscar de la renta perfume.

this smells very citrussy with touch of sweetness and the amber/musk is underlying. not sure what the sweetness is, but it gives it a bit of a perfumey scent. this is nice and pretty and delicate.

i wasn't sure if i'd ever smelled bpal's peony note, or what peonies even really smelled like. this is a bright, sweet, slightly tart floral on my skin. very clean smelling and pretty. actually the first lunar oil i've liked enough to keep my decant of! that being said, i don't absolutely love this, but i think it's pretty and worth keeping a little of.

ooh this is a pretty soft floral. the only thing i can really pick out is the orchid i think. it is now very recognizable to me (and smells good on me!) so that is fortunate. there is a bit of warmth behind the floral, which i think is the chinese musk. i love floral orientals, and i think this one is just beautiful, and a little bit sweet. it's a very gentle subtle scent, i'd wear this on a day when i wanted to feel comfort and light i think.

i am not a dragon's blood lover in general, but i thought i'd give a few more a chance, and this is one of them, on account of the musk, which i love. this smells quite unremarkable on me, reminds me a bit of blood amber(?) if my memory is correct. but i like blood amber better. i get mostly musk however and the dragon's blood is in the background, but it brings out a more animalistic musky smell which i dont like as much as the normal musk scent my skin usually projects.

when sniffing the imp, all i can smell is the lemon verbena, but i like lemony scents, so it's all good to me. on my skin it fades to pretty much lemon and white musk. it has good throw and smells good from afar, but when i actually sniff my wrist there is an underlying slight sourness, maybe the lemongrass? but i don't know if it's enough to prevent me from wearing it or not. very clean, fresh scent, in the same vein as embalming fluid.

anything with opium/poppy in it smells headshoppy to me. like sed non satiata. sometimes patchouli too.

i normally don't like sweet-fruity scents with things like mango. i do like citrus though, and i kind of like this one, against my better judgment. it's crisp and sharp and i mostly smell the orange, mango and white musk. once it's dry it's just a soft white musk with a hint of orange. pretty, but kind of strange for some reason.

i received this as an extra from someone in a swap. all i'm smelling is strawberry, with something underneath that i can't quite place. this just smells like strawberry shortcake doll on me. very little girlish. and i am not into fruity scents, so yeah this one isn't me.

i got this as a frimp from someone, and i figured it'd be too sweet, and it is, but it's got a slight earthiness, and i like it better than i thought i would (not a big fan of fruity scents.) it's very sweet and smells very youthful to me. personally it's too a bit too sweet, but lovers of fruity-florals will dig this

i guess the floral i'm smelling is peonies (or similar) after reading the other reviews. there's an herbal/grassy scent too. now that it's dry it is a faint, sweet floral with a very very slight powderiness to it. pretty, but maybe a little too sweet for my tastes.

at first this smells like a dry minty smell, once it fades it turns into a sweet floral, not sure what flowers these are, as picking out notes isn't always my strong point. however, i don't get any of the cinnamon that it seems some people have gotten. in the dry stage it's a very sweet floral and perfumey.

hm at first this smells very wet to me, and boozy but not in a rum-like way. i can't quite place it. i definitely smell the dandelion as well, and now that it's dry i think i am mostly smelling the dandelion and tobacco, and the booze has evaporated. it's very dry and weedy, and now i sort of like it in a way, but i don' think it's a scent i'd wear often.
-
hm. at first i didn't like this at all, i got a strong powdery scent from it. possibly the opium, as i often dont like scents with opium. now that it's dry it reminds me a LOT of gypsy queen or love in the asylum when faded. since i like both of those scents in the wet stage, i think i'll just stick with my bottles of those.

i dunno why i even tried this one, honey usually doesn't work on me and sandalwood gives me a headache if it's too strong, but sometimes when those notes are blended with a bunch of other notes, they work out. not with this one however. i think i am mostly detecting the tuberose, vanilla bean and sandalwood, and it's giving me a headache :/

this scent doesn't really do it for me...something in it is very sweet, perhaps the juniper or lily, and it turns strongly perfumey and cloying on my skin. that being said, it is a cold funereal scent, even a little bit creepy, and i love that it evokes that feeling.
-
this a sweet floral with a touch of spice on my skin. very summery...also something about it is very familiar, as in it smells just like another bpal on me, but i can't place it. it is a bit too perfumey for my tastes though.
-
wayyyy too ozoney for me, but i thought i'd give this a try anyway since it sounded so intriguing. it's very perfumey on me and smells very plantlike as well as the ozone. something in it goes a bit sour on my skin too.

the incense comes out a lot in this, and overwhelms a bit. i also can detect the leather and florals, maybe the orange blossom. i can wear some incensy scents, but generally the more 'churchlike' incenses dont work on me. this one is ok on me, but far too masculine for my tastes. i think i would love it if it didn't contain the incense note.

i love all the notes in this (except for maybe some white florals), so i was very excited to try it. it's beautiful-light, warm and a little sexy. i think i'm getting mostly the white musk, florals and neroli. lovely! i just wish it had a little more throw.
-
damn. the only note i was iffy about in this is the rum, and i was right in my assumption. the rum gives it a buttery smell, making it much too foody for my personal tastes. if i was into creamy buttery foody scents, i'd love this though. i do like the smell of it, but it's just not me.
-
i love all the notes in this, but for some reason the combination did not work on me. it had a very sharp strongness to it that was sort of a nostril-burning experience. i could tell that it would smell nice if it was mellower, but it was taking its time mellowing out. i think perhaps it was the roses + red musk that were amplified on my skin. i'm disappointed (and a bit surprised) i thought this'd be perfect for me.

empyreal mist smells EXACTLY like prescriptives calyx to me. -
i have no idea what notes are in this, but it smells like a pretty sweet fruity-floral. it's very sweet. it smelled so familiar at first, like a perfume i wore in high school, then i finally placed it- it smells exactly like prescriptives calyx on me. i've never smelled another bpal that smelled exactly like another perfume, but this one sure does. my high school self would've loved this, but now i find it a bit too sweet for my personal tastes.
