hm im not quite sure what im smelling here, but it's incensy and woody and has something that burns the nostrils when i smell it, so it's a very powerful scent. i am currently experiencing my first saturn return, so i was really curious to try this. i think it's amber, patchouli, black musk and vetiver, maybe? not sure i'd wear this one too much, it is just so heavy and resiny, yet i still sort of like the scent on me.

cedar just does not work on me, i dont know why i try to get it to work! it smells like pencil shavings on me, as usual. i get cedar and amber and something kind of dirty smelling. not sure what that is! off to swaps. eta: after it's dried a bit the cedar calms down more and it's kind of a nice scent with a warmth in the background (from the saffron?)

there is no emoticon to accurately describe my undying love for pink moon 2007. i love the sugared violet and rose of faith and hope and i love this one even more. carnation is my favorite floral, and pink moon is a mix of this with a little sugar for softness. i think the phlox adds a slight greenness to the background? probably one of my top 3 favorite bpals ever, if not absolute favorite!

this is a very grassy and green floral with a slight aquatic to it. it makes me think of spring. it's very light and not overwhelming. im glad i got to try this at the beginning of spring!

this is lovely! it's a pale, soft floral with a bit of cleanness that reminds me of a faerytale for some reason. the moonflower is definitely there, and the poppy doesnt overwhelm as it is wont to do on my skin. it's a bit powdery but clear at the same time. very pretty scent!

i get the aloe and white sandalwood with a hint of vanilla. this is a very light scent, but some note in it is amped on me and has a sharpness that gives me a headache :/

whoa this smells like cola in the imp! exactly like it. on my skin however, it's different. it's clovey with vanilla, lime and a bit of pine. i kind of like it, although something in it is amped on my skin and gives me a bit of the headache (maybe the pine?) i think i'd like it better on someone else.

ooh i like this one. in the imp it's very smoky-floral, with a touch of sweetness. for once the poppy and lilies work on me. this is a bit perfumy, but i like that about it. it's a smoky-sweet floral but difficult to pick out any notes. i think i may have to get a big bottle of this.

Fiery, primal, and precociously diabolical: red amber, Spanish moss, Indonesian patchouli, ambergris, red pepper, two cloves, and vanilla flower. in the imp this smells very much like amber, clove and musk with a slight earthiness which i think is the moss. the vanilla rounds out the scent a bit. this is a touch on the masculine-musky side for me, but i still like something about it. it is very animalistic. so much so, that i cant believe there isn't some sort of musk in it.

this is an ozoney-aquatic floral. i think mostly white florals, but i can't really pick out notes. i think i sense jasmine or honeysuckle in the imp. on my skin the metallics really bloom though. this smells very perfumey on me, in the department store kind of way. i kind of like it but dont love it.

omg this one was a surprise hit. i thought this could go either way but had a feeling that i must try it. it's definitely mostly vanilla-cocoa on me with hints of lavender and vetiver, and it's very well blended, so other notes are difficult for me to pick out. it reminds me a bit of a lush massage bar, for some reason, but i'm not sure which one. it's warm and cocoa-y but not TOO foody, which is perfect for me. i may have to get a bottle of this.

this smells more like a fruity green-shampoo scent on me...i dont get much incense or tobacco, unless opium smoke has a sweetness to it. this actually smells more incensy in the imp but more clean on my skin. weird, not what i expected at all. it's not really my style either so i think i'll pass it along.

this is spicy cinnamon with a sour floral note in the background. possibly white florals as those are the ones that tend to go awry. the sourness of the floral seems to come and go, when it's not there i just get a nutty cinnamon. not necessarily bad, just not my style.

i am so glad i finally had a chance to try this!! it's warm but cool at the same time, which i guess is the leather/smoke + citrus combination. the clove and frankincense are barely there, which is a good thing as frankincense tends to smell bad on me if it's prominent. i love this one! i will definitely keep my imp and possibly hunt down a bottle.

this is a sweet fruity-floral on me. something in it turns bad on me, similarly to ides of march and causes me a headache just like that one did. im not sure what does exactly, perhaps the honeydew or freesia. this one just does not work and i'll have to swap it.

this smells like creamy but plasticky coffee on me. foody scents just don't really work for me. i do love the misk u soap though, which is why i finally decided to try this. i think it's giving me a headache...off to swaps.

wow this one smells weird on me. in the imp it's very foody-cakey. once it hits my skin that soon disappears and i get a strange spicy-wood scent that sort of smells like pickles. i am thinking it may be the patchouli + cinnamon leaf combination? i can sense the caramel in the background too. i generally dont like foody scents and this one turns wonky on me, so i will swap it.

this has the ubiquitous mad party feel/scent to it. it's crisp, tart and citrussy with an underlying sweetness. thankfully, i dont smell the patchouli at all! it's very much a light springtime scent, very youthful. something in it sort of turns on me...probably the sage, which will do that at times. i may keep my imp though.

this is very well blended, and i really am having difficulty picking out notes. it's a bit perfumy to me and it's a warm, ambery floral with herbs and a touch of coolness. i think that mostly the amber, orange pulp and gardenia are coming out on my skin. i like this and will keep my imp but probably won't buy a bottle.

this is mostly orchid and plum with a citrus sharpness adding to it. it's very fruity, the plum is amped on my skin, and also i get a plasticky smell from it, which often happens to me with the bpal plum note. it's a nice scent, just not really the kind for me.

this smells like a citrus-floral with a hint of softness. i definitely get the lemon and orange blossom with a slight hint of lavender. at first there is a sourness from the herbs, possibly. i dont get any jasmine, thankfully, as it often turns bad on me. this is a bright, citrus scent, perfect for spring.

eeww this smells horrid with my skin chemistry. i smell like a dirty sweaty hippie. i smell the rose and some woodiness, and at first the wine is quite strong. there is a bad musky smell but it isnt musk because musk works on me. i am off to wash this one off :/

i get lotus and other florals with aquatics added. very light and fresh and clean. it's nice, but i tend to not like the 'clean' scents, so it's off to my swap pile.

in the imp this is very herbal and green smelling. very pungent. at first it's like that on the skin too, but once it settles in it gets a warmth that smells like an incensy-wine scent? very strange! i kind of like this, but i think i'll try it again to make my final decision, because i am really on the fence with this one.

wow this is a strange scent. in the imp it smells like herbal wine, but on my skin it smells like a powdery aquatic?? for the first half, anyway. once it's much more faded it's a soft myrrh, sandalwood and slightly leathery scent. i don't think this is realy me, but i may try it once more just to make sure.
