This is the only one of the Patch that isn't a pale yellow color (like Jack), but rather an orange-soda orange color. Oooooh it's the sweet pumpkin of Jack, but with a woody undertone. Sandalwood, my old friend! the dryness of the sandalwood tempers the overly sweet pumpkin. I really smell both notes evenly - the pumpkin and the sandalwood. They're sitting next to each other, holding hands, swinging their little feet back and forth. I smell one, then the other. Dry, ashy sandalwood, sweet sweet pumpkin syrup (BPAL's "pumpkin" always smells most like pumpkin cheesecake to me.) I like the combination of the two quite a bit... by george, I think this one might be a success with me, So far, I like #3 and #4.

After having disliked #1 and #2 I was not optimistic. Sniffing the imp, the buttery smell that I'm not particularly into is, I guess the pumpkin. But I like most pumpkin-spice products, go figure. Anyway, somehow the sweet, red fruit rounds out the scent of the buttery pumpkin and makes the result absolutely delectable, like a loaf of pumpkin/cranberry bread fresh out of the oven. This smells like the baked goods counters at many coffee shops this fall. I'm not finding it too sweet thankfully. It's sweet, but tart at the same time. Just delicious. As it dries, the pumpkin fades a bit and the pomegranate takes over, but it's a softer pomegranate and I still smell delicious.

Oh god, this sounded like absolute heaven. I think lovers of Bliss will be really into it, because that's just what it smelled like on me. Sniffing the imp I smelled pumpkin, but with a warm nutmeg/almost egg nog tone. Definitely nutty and sweet. On my skin I got really artificial pumpkin, like a Yankee Candle, plus a fake chocolate smell. As this dried it was pure fake chocolate, just dominating and squashing away any trace of pumpkin. Arghhhh. It smelled like... hmmm like cheap chocolate cake frosting. Kind of watery, kinda synthetic and gross. To sweet for me, and too brash. Not enough punkin'

Wow, I thought this would be my dream blend and indeed at first I smell something sweet with an undertone of spicy warm apple cider. The apple cider just takes over though, squashes the pumpkin into oblivion and sits there being all plump and appley. Apples apples... time passing... sweet apples on my wrist. Not the yummy sharp spicy apples from Harvest Moon '05, but kinda... plasticy apples. I can't believe this doesn't suit me. Two things I love not working together on my skin? Treason!

Wet I smell lavender (pretty appropriate for a scent called Peace. Lavender is supposed to calm, but I've never found it overly calming...) There's something very sweet in here too, like a Necco wafer, or a peach. It's lurking underneath the lavender, and the latter is giving it an herby tang There's also something slightly pine-like, but it's underneath the lavender. That sweet undertone is becoming more incensey as it dries, and I dig that. I also smell something soapy as time passes, like lavender soap. After more time- violet candy soap over lavender?

Goodness, I wasn't quite prepared for the vibrancy of the cinnamon, but it's very delectable. Mmm! The lavender undertone gives it an herby backdrop. I am a university lecturer and a grad student so Mercury jumped out at me as a really important blend, not necessarily for the scent, but for the planetary power boost. This is a bit potpourri-ish, I have to say. If it wasn't a planetary blend I'm not sure I'd seek it out or be at all interested in a bottle. I do like the cinnamon though. It's like a cinnamon hard candy.

Oh my god am I glad I'm getting to try this. It's... pale, cucumbery with a hint of floral. It reminds me of a Victoria's Secret cucumber skin tonic I used in the '90s. Very pale green colored. It's a clean smell. Definitely great for a warm day- just smelling it is a cooling experience. As time passes the cool cucumber and the floral sit in perfect, calm balance. I really like this, despite typically being a musky/spice girl.

Ok, I want to smell this on my husband's neck immediately. In the beginning, there was a powerful ginger, but as time passed it faded into a smokey, woodland smell. Ginger plus woodsmoke. Ginger plus ashes. Mmmmmm not on me, but imagining it on him. *drool* I can't smell the spicy ashiness of this without wanting to curl up next to his neck and smell it on him.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *I am fleeing in terror from my own wrist* This is the scent of the Salvation Army, in a bad way. In the dankest corners. It's kinda body odor plus mildew. I honestly can't imagine a scent less likely to get me in the mood. Yargggggg... *flail* Oh my lord I need to wash this off now!

A spicy, floral scent- with somewhat of a fruity undertone. I smell bright oranges and incense. There's definitely an undertone that's a bit cool, and the amber is sneaking around the edges. I love the way the orange and the spiciness mingle. It could be the amber that reminds me slightly of men's cologne, but not overwhelmingly so. This is like an incensey-er (that's so not a word) version of Kuntzkammer. It's kind of like Lush's Olive Branch shower gel- that same spicy herby aroma. On me it's really well balanced between the two. Just lovely.

I think grad. school applications count as creative work (essays!) so I am wearing a lot of this right now. Very lemony-astringent, somewhat like the Theraflu lemon. It's a bit soapy too. I am feeling a little muddle-headed (as I am wont to mid-afternoon) so I am inhaling this fresh aroma deeply and hoping it's effective. Unfortunately, there's an undertone in here that smells of port-o-potty, and that's throwing me off a bit. It dries down to be a bit floral, lemon. I'm not sure I am feeling more creative but I'll update here with the outcome.

Hmmm I am also mostly getting straight dragon's blood. Cherry musk with a bit of a sour/woody spike to it. Something slightly soapy. I don't smell the roughness to this that "hide" suggests to me, no real smoke.

This delicious blend only has two pages of reviews? Well, that's a sin, to be sure! Initially it smells to me like a leafy green patchouli blend combined with pine, a faint pine. It's musky and earthy, not too sweet. The drydown is less patchouli and a bit more pine, unfortunately. I liked the wet stage a bit more. Omen is more comforting than most earthy/woodsy blends. It seems warmer somehow. The oakmoss must be the "green forest", the juniper berry the vageuly Christmasy undertone. The myrh+patchouli is what makes me love this. A solid blend of scents. Not amazing, but a really solid, good aroma. I'll be using this imp.

Wet, this really goes make me thing of children, of youth. The floral is a touch baby-powdery on my skin. As it dries it becomes more like a bouquet of all of the floral ingredients. I can smell the rose, lily, and violet equally, and it's not too strong. Really understated and kind of nice, a gentle perfume. It's very relaxing, really. The smell of clean young skin (which is sketchy-sounding, but I swear it's in a nice way.) The violet becomes a stronger note as time passes, eventually evolving into something like a violet-rose powder.

Oh no, it's that artificial cinnamon that I can't stand, like ribbon candy mixed with plastic. This was the same reason I couldn't stand Bengal. Ok, though this doesn't seem to be changing at all I'll wait it out *tapping foot* I do smell a hint of orange under the plasticky cinnamon. Hm. It has remained in this stage for a while. I don't smell the patchouli at all, which is bumming me out. The orange (peach) is getting stronger and becoming dominant over the plastic-cinnamon. Finally, on my wrist this is bad cinnamon-peach potpourri. I'm sad that there's such a weird undertone to it, because I like all of the ingredients!

Hm... wet I am getting a smell of tea, with a scent after it that reminds me of old-fashioned milled soap. The fig is emerging, and something almost chocolatey. It's a very rich scent, very deserty. It's like the way your mouth tastes after enjoying a chocolate-cherry cake and then having a sip of tea with milk. Sin-alicious. Drydown is mostly fig, with a backdrop of tea. The herbs are coming through as it sits.... but hm, fig fig fig. Smells like a Christmas crafts-store section. Annnnndddd... it stays that way on me.

Considering it has been raining here for 10 days straight now, Hurricane actually does remind me of what I smell every time I head outside. It's damp greenery, very large, damp leaves, dripping gently. It's a deep dark rainforest (er, I imagine) This smells much better than I would have anticipated. The vetiver is balanced out by the greenery. When I sniffed it in the vial I thought "Oh, plant rot", but it's nothing like that on my skin. It's the kind of green scent that would go perfectly with Lush's Tramp. It's perfectly plant like, really. The most wonderfully green scent I have smelled in a long time. I don't get air or rain at all. What a pleasant surprise!

Wet: Oh dear lord this smells like permanent marker. You know, the big fat black ones. Stinky stink! It's all chemical and.... hm, anise. I am a Fool for putting so much of this on my wrist, hehheh. Drying: Hmmmm stronger anise. Maybe slight coconut. Ermmmm I wish this had a bit more to it on me because I dislike anise intensely. After a while: Floral hmmmmmm .... lilac perhaps? Not a sweet floral, an herby-floral. The anise has faded.

Wet: Hmmmm I smell tortilla chips and margaritas. Sweet corn. This smells just like tortilla chips and lime, really. The lime is really present, but so is the salt-sweet chip scent. It smells like violets. Is that the chrysanthemum I smell now? This has changed into a really strong floral... hmmm floral with lime. Not entirely appealing

Wet: Wow, what on earth does this smell like? I'm mystified. It's definitely woody with a slightly sweet musk. Am at a loss to associate with anything I've ever smelled before though. I am getting something like a sweet mustard out of this. Or .. no, it's changed to the smell of cherry cola candies (you know, the ones that are like a syrup in a wax vial- and you bite off the head.) Dry: I definitely smell the sandalwood and myrr, and perhaps the sweetness is the rose? I really want the smell of this in a bath bomb. Mmmm musky. The sweet dies down after a while and just becomes musky-incensey. A really alluring, unique scent!

I am excited to be trying this! The description sounds like something I'd get nerdy glee out of. The imp smells leathery, like an older man's cologne in a dusky library. Wet: (oops, I put a lot on) I smell a strong pine (which is somewhat peppery) and a bit of leather behind that. The wood is very present too, but mostly I am getting pine. Dry: I get the incense now, the library, and the smell of leather. It's musky and really interesting, just the right amount of spicy and woodsy and ... oh yum... I really like this dry.... I want to burry my nose in it. It makes me feel more alert in a weird way. The pine has become an interesting peppery- smell. I got some on my finger and then scratched my upper lip so unfortunately, I can report that it doesn't taste very good It's almost a men's cologne but better than that. Mmmm.... Verdict: Yes please! I thought the pine was going to put me off but the drydown is worth it.
-
At first this is a Christmas tree-pine scent on me- very forceful pine. Behind the pine is something slightly sweet, and a peppery scent. It makes my nose tingle. As it dries, the peppery comes forward but the pine remains front and center. A great winter scent, methinks, but not for me.

Sniffing the Imp: Mmmm musty. Smells like a stone-walled basement (I was in one recently, a clean, candlelit one and it smelled just like this.. devoid of any mildew or dankness.) Wet: This reminds me a bit of Magus, of some of the woodsy scents. There's a tiny bit of sweetness offseting the musk. It's a good smell, actually. The hint of something "lemony" is, I think, the ceder, which is asserting itself nicely. It does smell like my ceder trunk, with old crumbled sandalwood incense in the bottom. Drydown: I definitely smell the myrhh as well. This is like church incense meets ceder closet. Definitely a mystical scent. A great room scent, particularly. A touch of sweetness is coming forward. Ah, and now there is the sandalwood again. Overall a great ambient scent. Not a body scent for me, but I'll use it as a room oil.

Wet : This is a delicate floral. I really was trying this expecting to absolutely hate it, hence only obtaining a decant imp. It does seem to be tapered by something fruity and sweet, perhaps a peach. Drying: I smell the different florals, but more strongly I also smell the fruit. It's a very pleasant smell, with the florals balancing each other out nicely. I definitely smell the violet in this. One of the florals is taking the top and I'm not sure which it is. Dry: Pleasant, straight floral, like a nice bouquet from the florist. You know, without the added powdery or fruit notes. They fade away.

Wet: Rome smells like flower stems, particularly like dandelion stems. It's a strong floral smell, really overly perfumely. Drydown: Eau de stank floral. Gahhh still dandelion stems. It's just sitting there being stinky and overpowering. An hour later: Hmmmm floral lovers, here's your new best friend
