    The Moon

At first I got a soft lemon with powder, and a touch of green underneath, but as it dries it morphed into a powdery Jasmine, just like Lush's Fairy Jasmine bath bomb. (shortest review of mine... ever)

    Binah

Oh man, this is the most pungent floral blend I've smelled in a long time. It actually burned my nose. There's something like soap mixed with tuberose. I definitely smell Dove soap in here though. Yikes. Now it's public restroom handsoap. Floral floral... after a while that's what it settles into. Just a generic floral perfume. Meh.

    Geburah

Very much the clean fresh scent of soap and leather. This smells the way a man's bathroom should smell. It should make you want to stay there and inhale deeply, basking in the order and cleanliness of the space. I'm not sure this is a scent I wear on my body but I really enjoy smelling it. I'd love walking into a retail space and catching a whiff of this. I'd probably buy a lot of things.

    Chesed

Cedar plus candy! Is my first thought when applying Chesed. It's definitely woodsy, but creamy somehow as well, like it has some sort of "Milk Moon"-style undertone to it. I also smell a hint of pine. The cedar quickly vanishes leaving sweetness and a sharp pine note. The pine is growing, and so is a woody aroma that isn't cedar. It is becoming very much the smell of a clean wood cabin or an old wood box (not necessarily a cedar one) Then, after about an hour I am getting straight cedar. Weird!

    Yesod

Oh my, it's jasmine with some other micellaneous floral stank. It's that musky floral that kind of smells like b.o. and is almost good, but not quite. The jasmine remains overpowering while this is wet on my arm. I do love jasmine but this is a bit... single-note-ish for me. After wearing it for thirty minutes the misc. floral stank from early on has faded away and I am left with a sweet, candy jasmine. It's nice, but still a bit monotonous for me. Several hours later I get soft, powdery jasmine. I wouldn't mind if it'd started this way.

    Tiphareth

Hmmmm if a Christmas tree were poured into a blender with Nyquil and pureed, this would be the result. It smells just like an astringent cleaning product. Gahhhhh I've smelled this particular blend before- it's a specific herb that I cannot place. Is it absinthe? Some kind of liqeur? It does smell like some manner of dark green alcoholic beverage.

    Netzach

Slightly cologny and alcoholy when wet, with something that reminds me a lot of the "oceanic" BPAL blends. There's something beneath it that makes me think "green" as well. Beyond the herby green a floral is emerging... As this dries it becomes sweeter and greener all at once. I am also beginning to smell something like an orange sauce and now, foomp! Suddenly there are roses. What a confusing, morph-tastic blend.

    Kether

I smell Johnson's Baby Shampoo when this is wet, with perhaps a little hint of cherry in it. As it begins to dry, the JBS mingles with the cherry and a new note of cinnamon. Interesting. This is kind of pale on my skin, really not a strong scent and is giving off a bit of creaminess. I am trying to get more depth from it by pressing my nose against my wrist, but it's faint after only ten minutes. Something in here really reminds me of red cough syrup. It's got that sickly sweet red thing going on. Ugh. If I could smell this better I might have stronger feelings about it, but it's a vanisher on me.

    Chokmah

Wow, this is very spicy and musky, but I'm not sure in a good way. It's the smell of many incenses at once, plus something slightly musty and sweet at once. It's driving me nuts that I can't place this, but I am really averse to it, whatever it is! I guess I am getting a bit of root beer or cream soda. It's kind of an after effect, really. Maybe some mint? I'm so confused. There's just something stinky behind this. I'll just conclude that I'm mystified by Chokmah.

    Malkuth

Oh yum, oh sheer deliciousness *wiggle* This is awesome and musky in the way that some of the best patchouli and sandalwood blends are, and sweet in the way Silk Road (or even a touch of Urd), mixed with Snake Oil are. Sweet and musky at once. I even smell a faint hint of cherry when this is wet. *wiggle wiggle* As it dries it becomes a strong cinnamon scent, but in a natural gingersnap kinda way, not overpowering. Lovers of Geek must try this and v.v. *swoon*

    Dreamland

Wow, this is a scent that gets sucked into my skin if I ever smelled one. I doused it on my wrist and I can barely smell anything. Something vaguely green, a very faint floral, a touch of sweetness. Where did this go? I guess I do faintly smell iris and tuberose. I just slathered more on and still nothing. *shrug*

    Alone

In the imp- uh, oh, I have such high hopes for this and it smells like Bengal, like that awful clove that just smells like synthetic cinnamon. Maybe it's not clove that bothers me... Ok, I'm taking the plunge. Yikes... the poor sandalwood and patchouli are trying to get out past the awful fake cinnamon smell. I reall smell nothing else. *kicking a rock* As it dries a slight patchouli kick emerges, but it's not enough to make this scent more interesting, or to chase away the fake cinnamon.

    Annabel Lee

Ready to snif the imp: Oh my, it's some kind of incredibly sweet candy. What is this? It's so familar. It's fresh and comforting. Alright, ready for the wrist: I get grassy and sweetness, a lot of sweetness. It's sugary, like easter grass really. I feel like I'm in the kids' cereal section of a supermarket chain. It smells kinda like sugar, water, and artificial flavoring. Woooo man, the sweetness is coupling with the fact that I've eaten a ton of candy today is enough to make me yarf... Oooog. I'm getting strong perfume from this now and I'm betting it's the lilies. Sugar and perfume. The scent dries to a bit of a mossy-floral. Hmmm not really growing on me.

    Al-Araaf

My first thought on this was that it smelled a bit like a peach lollypop I'd just had (because it's Halloween!) But it became really strongly floral very quickly- A sweet, honeyed floral, very sweet. Then it turns highly generic. I am not picking up on anything in here but just... "florals". Uninspiring, florals. It also seems to be sinking into my skin really quickly. I only applied it ten minutes ago and it's already really light. I'm having to really SNnnnniiifff to try and tell you what it's doing on drydown. Disappearing? The sweetness is nice, but not enough magic for me.

    Evening Star

Sniffing the imp : It's a very pale, light floral and it made my nose sting a bit. Wet on my arm it's a pale purpley floral, somehow very comforting. It makes me want to curl up in my blankets and suck my thumb. When I smell this I feel taken care of, small. I do typically hate florals but this one is just ... yeah. I am putting this by my bedside table. I'd never wear it out, it makes me feel too vulnerable. As it dries there's a slightly musky floral, something slightly peppery. Oh no, in drydown it's becoming powdery and really, really soapy. *taking it back off my bedside table* Stupid soap smell. I wish I could've haulted this at the sweet floral stage.

    Spirits of the Dead

Yeuch, wet I get strong strong lemon, like the scent of lemon throat drops. I feel like I'm sick just smelling this. Aside from lemon and a bit of honey I'm not getting much depth here. I get neither woods, nor florals. Maybe the spirits of the dead have a head cold. As this dries I get pepper. If I really press my nose to my wrist I can almost smell something floral. The lemon aroma sits on top of it. I just don't get tea out of this, I have to say.

    The City in the Sea

Ack! Ozone! I do have a bit of a phobia over aquatics, because of the ozone. Wet I am a bit overpowered by it, and am wishing the bruised violets would make more of a show. On the drydown I can sense a pleasantness lurking behind the strong ozone: something sweet and herby. Unfortunately, it winds up being too muted for this to smell like anything other than a generic bath tonic. It's funny, this smells almost leathery as it dries. It smells like an old bottle of eau de cologne as well. Hmmm I'm not getting anything new after it sits on my wrist for a while. It just fades, but doesn't morph.

    Lenore

Oh gorgeous! Ahem, ok... let me collect my thoughts.... Wet I smell the patchouli with a hint of brightness, sweetness. It's delicious. I get the lemon and the smoke. It's rare that all of the notes in a blend dance like this. Mmmm.... I LOVE this. I actually get quite a bit of sweetness on my skin, but the dark ingredients make it wistful. It becomes more sweet and balanced as it dries. Mmmm... I smell a woodsy cedar, which I imagine is the lemon, saffron and smoke merging. The drydown is a lovely balance between woodsy, musky, and sweet. A tad mournful, but beautiful.

    The Haunted Palace

Wow, this is truly delectable! Wet I'm smelling something like Snake Oil- the vanilla and the musk combined. It's rich and seductive. And then there's the orange-cream layer, nice and sweet, but tempered by the musk. Wow... delicious. Everything is hovering in perfect balance. I'm not sure this reminds me of anything haunted so much as a deliciously perfumed boudoir. You know, if Snake Oil and Kunskammer had a love child....

    All Saints'

Whaaaaaa? Roses? Roses?! Where's the frankincense and myrhh? I'm not smelling anything but rose and argh, I hate rose. I was hoping for more of a church incense with an undertone of rose, and yeuch, when this is wet it might as well be a single-note on me. After some time, I'm getting... more rose. Rosity rose rose rosity rose. It never changed, even eight hours later I could smell rose on me.

    Sugar Skull

Hello again, Sugar Skull! Well, you still smell like maple syrup, maybe a bit more texture. But really, just maple syrup- which makes me kind of want to yorf.

    Devil's Night

Oh sweet lord... I will not drink the imp. I must keep telling myself that. This is too edible-seeming. I'm not getting autumn night; I'm getting chocolate orange. Just straight creamy milk chocolate and orange. Where's the smokiness I anticipated? I am trying to smell musk, and I guess there's some in there, but... it's very faint, very behind-the-scenes. Is that plastic I smell? Hmmm slight musk. No autumn fires, no real booziness. About 30 minutes after application I smell a nice musk under the chocolate and orange, but it doesn't wow me, particularly, and there's still no smokiness.

    Dia de los Muertos

Ok, just got my 2005. In the imp I smell florals with an undertone of chocolate. Uh-oh.... both are generally scary on me. Hm, wet on my arm I definitely smell booze (a vodka or scotch), some cherries, some chocolate, and flowers. The flowers are hopping around, dipping their leaves in the booze scent. I really wish I was getting more "dry crackling leaves" and less "flower bouquet". Update: still floral.... sitting on it's floraly haunches. It smells a bit like iris, but I gather that's the cactus flower. Drydown and some time passing: Sweet and fruity, like a chocolate with dates in it, but the floral is still present.

    Trick or Treat

Oh my! In the imp this is pure sugar, candy corn. The name fits! There's a little cheesecake in there. On my arm there is the genuine scent of corn. Real, buttered corn. That's really disturbing. Gahhhhhh. Where is my candy smell? I want that back. I get a burnt sugar in here too. On me this is just nothing like it appeared in the imp.

    Pumpkin Patch V (2005, 2006)

In the imp this smells gloriously pumpkin, with a woody undertone to temper it and prevent if from becoming too sweet. Let's dump it on the ol' wrist, shall we? Hmmmm pumpkin plus pepper- really kind of a salty pepper mixed with the sweetness of the pumpkin. I'm not so sure about this one. The peppery scent is mingling kinda weirdly with the pumpkin and something in this kinda burns my nose. It's a little too woodsy-herby and the super sweet candy pumpkin just kinda clashes on my skin. It does kind of smell like the stem of a pumpkin- the sour, green aroma. God, I'm so conflicted on this. Buttttttttt.... I don't think this combination goes well together.
