    Mutant Hot-Rodders from Hell High

Oh Sweet God...this is everything I dreamed it would be. In the bottle I can smell the leather with a hint of metal. There's also a backdrop of lime *squees* Once it's on my skin, this blend is an awesome mix of leather, metal, black pepper, and LIME! I am a lime and leather person and this is just perfect both on myself and on my husband. It drives me nuts. To top it off, it lasts for a looong time on my skin. This truly reminds me of really cheesy B-Horror films from the 80's, particularly Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II. *hugs her bottle*

    Crimson Christmas

To me, this scent retains the same notes no matter what. It smells just the same in the bottle as it does on my skin. What I could detect was ozone, lots of smoke, and maybe a hint of peppermint. It reminds me of walking outside on a snowy winter night and smelling smoke from a far-away chimney. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I'll get back to ya

The Phantom Cow of Yerba Buena Island

Out of the bottle, this smells exactly like what comes spewing out of my 6-month-old's mouth and some sort of weird lemon-y stuff. But once it is on my skin it smells a LOT better (as other people have mentioned.) Creamy, citrus-y, sunny. Reminds me a bowl of Fruit Loops with milk.

    The Scales of Deprivation

Upon application, the lemon is intense. It smells a bit like lemon Pledge mixed with sage. I'm going to assume that the over-powering chemically smell is the vetiver, which gives the scent a heavy, dark fell (which I typically despise.) After about half an hour, the lavender and sandalwood came to the surface. Lavender and sage are an awesome combination and the sandalwood softened the vetiver. It's definitely an interesting scent.

    Black Dahlia

I should have known better. Seriously. I know florals do not work for me but I go crazy for anything even remotely related to the Black Dahlia. For example: offer me a lawn gnome sculpted out of dog droppings and stick the phrase "Black Dahlia" anywhere in the title and I'll pay an insane amount of money for it. Upon receiving this and slathering on a nice dollop, what assaulted my nose first was the over-whelming magnolia. Once my nose adjusted, the old-lady scent of roses came shining through. Strangely, I couldn't detect any jasmine, as other reviewers have pointed out. Just magnolia and rose upon initial sniffing. The magnolia and rose combo lasted for about an hour and then a strange vanilla/spicy rose scent took over. Being total anti-floral, there was nothing about this scent that I liked. On my skin, there was nothing sexy or beautiful about it. But if you're a floral fan, especially magnolia, this is perfect

    Monster Bait: Bloody Mary

I expected so much more from this scent. When I learned how sought after this Monsterbait line had become, I was sure I had hit the mother load when I found a bottle of this scent on eBay for a fairly reasonable price. The description seemed nice enough but when I first opened the bottle, the scent that hit me first was the gross celery scent that I also experienced in Intergalactic mixed with cream. Once it was on my skin, the celery scent faded and the berries and cream became more prominent. It took on the scent of a cheap cherry lolly. I really wasn't impressed so I will be sending this on to a new home.

    Ravenous

An utterly feral, thoroughly rousing perfume. Red patchouli sweetened by orange blossom. I don't even know where to start. Ravenous is one of the most glorious scents I have ever tried! When wet on my skin, the patchouli really stands out but as the oil dries down, the orange becomes dominant and the patchouli takes on a spice fragrance and I detect a hint of musk and vanilla with honey. It smells like gingerbread. I adore it![/font]

    Envy

This scent is definitely green but not the green I expected. When envy comes to my mind, it's a bright pea-green murky color. When I smelled this blend, it reminded me of misery; someone who wants to bring the whole world down because they are jealous and angry. A dark, unhappy money-green color came to mind. And that makes perfect sense! It smelled miserable in the bottle and it remained miserable on my skin. Grass and herbs all the way. BPAL did an amazing job of capturing "envy" and putting it in a bottle.

    Different smells/colors, same perfume

I think I may have made a biiiig mistake I was decanting some B-Horror to mail to a friend of mine and as I was suctioning the oil out of the bottle, some air bubbles got into the bottle. Now it looks like the oil has separated in the bottle. Towards the top, the oil is clear; at the bottom, it's dark and murky. I don't know if I've ruined it completely or if it will settle. I may have made an even bigger mistake by shaking the bottle in a panic. I seriously feel like an idiot. Any idea what's going on my perfume oil? Will it be ok?

    Love's Philosophy

I don't expect to like this very well but I was surprised! In the bottle, it has an indescribably synthetic and sickening. The scent isn't vanilla or anything I've smelled before. It was a little sickening. But I sucked it up and put a drop on. As it was drying down, the vanilla became more apparent. Eventually, it turns into a gentle root-beerish scent! I love it!

    Giallo

Profoundly passionate and singularly sinister: opoponax, black plum, night-blooming jasmine, benzoin, red musk, violet leaf, orange blossom, mimosa, mandarin, smoky vanilla, tobacco, patchouli, and black amber. The moment I saw this, I HAD to have it. I LOVE Giallo films (not quite as much as Asian horror though hehe) and the label art is so appealing. I mentioned to my husband that I'd die to have this perfume. He ended up buying the whole Summer Blockbusters Set! But I had already purchased it on Ebay so we ended up with 2 bottles. Althought all of the scents are marvelous, Giallo really sticks out. It truly reminds me of it's namesake. In the bottle, the scent is heavy, smoky and tobacco-y. The aroma is exactly what you'd expect. It is dark, brooding and menacing. When on my skin, the plum starts peaking through and the vanilla becomes obvious. Sadly, the scent doesn't last long. It reminds me of Zorya, only it doesn't last as long on my skin. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to try this! Giallo is definitely a scent I would recommend.

    Intergalactic

I completely agree with everyone who said this smells like celery right out of the bottle. And celery is one of the things I hate most of all. Being brave, I dabbed a bit on my wrists and although the celery note lingered, it became more bearable. About 15 minutes later, everything mellowed out. Now there is a melon-mixed-with-hair-spray summery scent. I was automatically reminded of the 80's: women with huge hair held up by tons of hair spray, wearing neon-colored bikinis. This fragrance is definitely fun and unusual. Great for summer or when you're in an 80's mood. Thank you, Persian Mouse, for the opportunity to try this!

    Samhain

The bottle I received from the Trading Post today is from 2008. In the bottle, the scent was mostly patchouli but upon application to my skin, it took an ugly turn. The scent turned into an indescribable and strong chemical smell. It took a long time to dry down on my skin and after a while, the scent did mellow out and the individual notes were easier to recognize. Apple and spice are very evident along with something sweet like sandalwood. I've had this blend on for about 5 hours and occasionally, I catch a wiff of pumpkin. I really love autumn-y scents. Goth Rosary's Samhain is glorious and part of me was hoping that this blend would smell similar if not better than that. This blend is good in it's own rite but not what I expected. Nonetheless, I'll enjoy having it at Samhain time. BTW, the label art is awesome! Update: I've had it on for almost 24 hours and it's still going strong! It's taken on a creamy chocolately aroma. A little better than I originally thought it would be.

    October

Very, very sharp in the bottle. The notes were all muddled together. When I put it on, I could definitely smell the dried leaves with a hint of smoke. As it dried down, it started to smell more sandalwood-ish and I am not a sandalwood kinda girl. I think perhaps I was expecting more of a patchouli-type scent. While this is a nice scent, it isn't for me.

    F5

This blend is absolutely amazing! It's totally green while still in the bottle. Lime and green tea were the main notes I detected at first wiff. But once it was on my skin, the white florals and musks came out which I love but it didn't last long after drying down. It's a fantastic scent. Too bad it doesn't last longer on the skin. Still, it's nice for a sniff right out of the bottle.

    Email order acknowledgement

I never got an e-mail acknowledging my order. Nor did I get a respond when I acquired about my order by e-mail. On my Pay Pal page, the money has been deducted from my account and I haven't received my order. I am not sure where to go from here!

    Shattered

Upon sniffing for the first time, the image of cold, broken glass and neon came to mind. I don't know how neon plays in there but it popped into my mind at first sniff. Maybe neon lights reflecting in a broken mirror.
