Nowadays i'm very interested in rose scents. I think the various colors of rose... I wonder what is the difference between white rose, pink rose, red rose, black rose scents? Are there also pure essential oils that i can find for white and red rose notes? ( i know that single note oils are discontinued, can be suggestions from other brands)

Yes, sexy swapper you are right. I have tried an imp of The Rose, it was too green. I could not smell the rose. Also 2-5-7 has the grass note that I don't like. What about the Rose Cross and Harlot? They could have the red rose smelling?

Last year a friend of mine brought me amber in solid form from Persia which was excellent... It was a soft, light, a bit powdery and sweet amber It really lingers in the memory, I haven't smelled anything like that before. I'm a bit confused about different violet types. Parma violet, african violet... What is the difference in the smell ? Also, it's said that there is no violet flower absolute. None. Not since the 19th century when ionone was synthesized, one of the very first synthetic florals. It is just too expensive to harvest all those tiny little flowers which do not produce much apparently. So now all the violet oils are sythtetic....

I don't know but it has reminded me Drangon's Milk a bit. I'm also in love with Arabian musk. Once I have bought Arabian musk from the site www.thepurplepeople.org . This scent is to die for Arabian and White musks are different in my opinion. Arabian musk is a bit more chilly. I compared the Body shop white musk and arabian musk from purplepeople. They are absolutely different. Arabian musk is better.... I love this scent alone..... However, I haven't tried a BPAL oil taht contains Arabian musk...
