My favorite of the Conjure Bag scents, for a couple of reasons. I love dry spicy scents, and this is all dry cassia wood with a bit of almond. Second, this stuff WORKS. Previous reviewers are correct about it's effect on the boys. And I like the name, as well, because of the song, of course.

A sweet green scent. Goes on very faint; I'd have to slather this. It smells a bit like shampoo, as others have said. I was hoping for something a bit brighter and stronger for one of my favorite heroines.
-
Ack! Soapy dirt, and not nice soap either. Eye-wateringly sharp, strong soap. Where is this coming from? The geranium, maybe? I expected this to be like, Zombi, but the dirt is much less prominent in this one.
-
In the bottle and on my skin, I can barely smell this one. I get a little whiff of a light lemony floral with a bit of ozone as other reviewers have noted. I like this one, but it's so light that I'd have to slather it on.

Sweet and spicy warm, like glowing bronze. The leather doesn't overwhelm everything, but stays happily in the background. This is masculine, but I think I could pull it off with a trench coat. I am going to try it on The Boy first chance I get, though.

Warm, musky metal!! But sexy, wearable metal, really. This strikes me as very masculine, but I think I could pull it off with a leather jacket. I'm not getting any florals from this one, which I like. I'm going to have to try this one on the boy.

A very complex cologne, seamlessly blended and timeless. It's very difficult for me to pick individual notes out of this one.
-
Musky amber all the way, with a hint of neroli in the background. Mine's aged quite a bit, but those notes still don't work on my skin.

I ordered this for the name despite all the notes of death. It's all vetiver and jasmine to me, creating a weird sort of dirty sweetness. This is definitely a guy who with take advantage of you. And he's going off to my PIF pile.

This is a soft, earthy cologne, like Badger's younger cousin. It smells sort of clean and ancient, timeless. I like my moles soft and cute, but this is a wise old mole who knows his way around.

This is a herbal scent with a bit of leather in the background and a bit of spicy sweetness at first. This could work as a unisex fragrance. On my skin I can hardly smell it.
-
A very urbane and sexy cologne, gentle but sneaky. I get a lot of the citrus musk and lavender, and the lime is a sharp, fresh note in the background. This is definitely unisex, but not pretty.

A very green, herbal cologne, sharp and sophisticated just like its namesake. I get a lot of the lavender and thyme, but the other notes are hard to pick out. This is very well blended.

Yowch!! Sharp, minty...mintiness. Where is the lavender? We like you, lavender, please come out. I think it's been scared off by the pennyroyal.

This is my favorite of the Lab's many wonderful mint blends, and probably the most wearable one. The ambergris gives a sweetness that I love, and makes it not gum/toothpaste minty. The mosses ground it and soften the mint's sharpness. They also make it last. My complaint about many mint scents is that they don't hang around long. Not so with Cathode.

This is what I expected Snake Oil to smell like. I do not like SO. Lyonesse, however, is a sexy, musky vanilla that lasts! This is my scent to wear with a black suit. It has a sweet, golden feel that I love.

This one is a dry, dusty ginger with something sour lurking suspiciously behind the spices. The herbs, maybe? I was really looking forward to this one, since it's so coveted, but there are other spiced blends that I like much better.

Woah, milk. Like, Obatala's milk, but warmed up and spiced. I'm not getting coffee from this, just sweet warm creamy milk with cardamom and nutmeg. No cinnamon, thank goodness. This one fades very quickly on my skin.

A buttery, fruity scent with a lot of sweet almond. I love the lab's apricot, and it really shines in this one, although the cherry is pretty strong as well. There's also a definite pastry/baked goods thing going on here. I'm not much for foody scents, but this is my favorite of the Yules.
-
Mmm. This is a spiced, peppery cookie. Definitely a cookie, since I'm getting a dry, floury vibe. This oil lasts a long time on my skin, as well. If you're a fan of the GC Shub and foody, spicy blends, run, do not walk to get your hands on this one.

A bright, fresh, aquatic floral. I'm not sure what rhododendron and bellflower smell like by themselves, though I'm sure I've encountered them in gardens before. In the bottle I get a light orange note, but this disappears on my skin.

This is a deep, true wine grape, backed up with blood and honey. Very sweet and sexy. Good for a night out in a little black dress. Opoponax is a kind of myrrh, apparently, and is usually a death note on me, but it stays out of the way in this blend. Drydown is sweet, wine-like floral. Possibly this is the sugar cane and plum blossom.

This is a very sexy scent to me, a fine sweet coconut with what I keep identifying as skin musk, even though that's not listed as a note. This was one of the first blends i tried, and it's still a great favorite. It's a light summer aquatic scent without the salt note of many aquatics.

Two words: clean dirt!! This is a light, fresh sort of linen scent over a soft, gritty loam. I'm not getting any fruit or florals, but that's okay. This is the most wearable of the "dirt scents" I've encountered, which means that I can wear this out without people sniffing me strangely. I don't mind being sniffed strangely, but there are some times when it's inconvenient.

The jasmine and rose and myrrh attack first, and my nose doesn't stand a chance! But this is a steampunk blend, so I am determined to see it through. Where are the wine and patchouli? The sandalwood comes out as it dries, fortunately, and the wine seems to be lurking around the edges. This is not an "old lady" perfume, but it is definitely too old for me.
