Soft boozy vanilla leather and roses. I am definitely amping up the roses in this, and it smells like a combination of pink/red roses. This is a heady womanly scent. In a lot of ways, this reminds me to Whip but softer and less sexual, more romantic and delicate. Great throw and wear length.

The Seesaw is very interesting. On wet, it smells distinctively of strawberries and pink pepper. It dries down to a strawberry, patchouli, with a swirl of rum and benzoin. I have to say that the strawberry/patchouli combo is one of the more interesting combinations that BPAL has put forth in the past couple of years. Good throw, good drydown.

Strawberry, hay and a touch of vanilla plastic. Sadly, the cream note in Round Dance doesn't work for me. This ends up smelling like a hay-variant of Strawberry Shortcake dolls.
SAD PUPPY.

Sugared violet and sandalwood. I'm not typically a violet fan, but the sugared violets in this is nothing sort of amazing. Unfortunately, they are low throw and medium wearlength on my skin.
-
Smoky vanilla and tonka syrup. On wet, there was a splash of strawberry. But overall this smells like a syrupy smoky vanilla and tonka blend. Sticks close to the skin.
Super torn on this, as this is actually a pretty blend, but perhaps almost too gourmand for me.

Rose, lavender, gin and a touch of wood. It's a bright, rosy juniper blend. Delicate and floral at the same time. Good throw, good wear length.

Smoky dark chocolate, clove and a touch of pepper. This one is a peppery/smoky chocolate clove blend. This would be right at home with the Box of Chocolate blends actually.
Honestly, Imperfect Enjoyment smells what I hoped the Avenue would smell like.

Lilies, grey amber, white musk. This smells like a more refined Belle Epoque - loads of lilies and grey amber. If possible, I'd say its a Frenchier Belle Epoque, which probably means this is super French and super classy/sophisticated. To me, this is a soft, classy floral along the lines of traditional perfumes.
Meaning, hello, gateway BPAL. I'd totally use this enable individuals to BPAL and ease them into more creative BPAL that smells familiar. Sticks close to the skin, so would also be great for office wear.

Whoever compared this to A Measurement of the Soul sort of nailed it. This one is figgy, patchy with a caramel vanilla note that AMotS did not have, so a little more wearable, since it lacks the sage of AMotS. So, slinkier and more wearable.
If you love fig, and don't mind a dark patchy base and caramel throw in, give this a whirl. There's part of me that really really loves this. Way more than the Mirror which is on my other wrist.

Sweet honey and lilac musk. I have definitely amped up the honey in this. Almost no lime. It's sweeter than I expected. Decent throw and decent wear length.

The Dream is indeed like a kissing cousin to First Love Fades Too atmo on wet. Lavender, oudh, agarwood. Except on my skin I get a fair bit of patchouli grounding the entire scent. And the saffron comes out to play in the drydown making this a less lavender-centric blend, and less like First Love Fades too. The combination of light lavender + patchouli gives it a powdery dimension to my nose.
Decent throw, and decent wear length.

Lemon verbena, rose and a touch of olive leaf. It's a very citrusy rose. Medium throw and wearlength.
-
Soapy white/pink Rose. I think it's the same Rose note as in Fresh and Blooming like a Rose, but emphasis on the fresh. Great throw and wearlength.
-
Jasmine tea, mate, and a touch of something else that smells sort of smoky actually. It's a very nice jasmine-lite + tea perfume.
-
Coconut, orris, iris and a touch of pear. This is a white coconut, light florals blend. It's a very white, somewhat tropical, somewhat Asian blend. Soft, cuddly.
-
An explosion of gardenia and jasmine and tuberose. Super white floral attack. Great throw, and great wearlength.
I can't handle how BIG and aggressive all the white florals are in this.

Oh god, Voodoo Queen is that you?
Honestly, this pretty much in the drydown is like a dirtier, more patchouli version of Voodoo Queen. I get smoky clove, touch of resin, and dark musk. It's darker and grittier than Voodoo Queen, and it doesn't have the same intense throw that Voodoo Queen does. But you know, in a pinch, this actually would work very well. Especially since there isn't that much VQ running around.
Sadly, this lasts maybe three hours on my skin, whereas VQ has longer staying power. At this point, its smelling like dark musk + patch blend, and less of the elements that made it very Voodoo Queen-ish. On the other hand, worth cellaring and busting this out in a year and seeing how this will smell. I bet it will age beautifully.

Peachy red wine with a hint of coconut. On the drydown I get more of the amber breaking through. Honestly, if anyone asked me this reminds me alot of the recent Peach from Dragon*Con with red musk in it.
If you're fond of peach blends, like red wine and/or red musk, I'd give this a whirl. Decent throw and wear length.
Peachy, red, sultry.

The Contrast! Honestly, I shouldn't love this so much. It smells like a cleaner version of Narkissos to me except resinous. Bright, sweet, and it oddly makes me also think of aged Belle Epoque.
Will have to try this a little more, but this may be a winner for me.

Lemon citrus and incense. On wet, you get more of the lemon. As it dries, the citrus recedes, and I get a dirty sort of incense smell with a very clean laundry edge.
-
Honestly, I actually like this smell. It's dragon's blood, darkened by tobacco, hemlock, and cypress. It's darkly musk dragon's blood, which isn't typically a thing I'm into but I'm really quasi digging this.
More importantly, I really do feel like it has certain TAL like qualities. I'm super happy to have a partial of this and use it in TAL workings.

Leather and honey. This is a very womanly leather blend. The honey definitely feminizes the leather. And I get that this is O doing leather, because that's a pretty spot on analogy.
Sexy, sexy leather.
-
Rich and earthy incense. I definitely get incense, truffle, champa and leather. There's something that smells like aniseed/licorice. It's much more wearable than I was expecting. Decent wearlength, low throw.

Orange blossom, jasmine on a bed of chocolate. This is the most floral of the Box of Chocolates for 2016. Orange, jasmine, and chocolate.

Warm, peppery incense with a touch of honey. I definitely get pink pepper, smoky vetiver, incense with just a touch of plum and honey. It's like a nice manly incense blend. Very mellow. Low throw, good wearlength. This is such a warm blend.
