Samhain smells like.... the perfume. Dark woods, dark patchouli, dark spices brightened by pumpkin and apple. Unlike PSE which just smells like bright baked goods, Samhain smells like a walk in the woods on a cool autumn evening. You know the kind of walk where you have magic in the air, and you better watch out for those fairy rings! Darkly atmospheric.

Smells exactly like the perfume. I have to say that I enjoy the smell of Pumpkin Spice Everything as an atmosphere spray. It smells like glorious pumpkins, cloves, and spices. And fall, This just smells like awesome fall. Yup, I may actually need more of this.

At Midnight with a Pumpkin Light Atmosphere Spray
zankoku_zen replied to hammy's topic in Atmosphere
Pumpkin and sweet candle wax. Think of it as a pumpkin version of Light of Men's Lives. Fantastic atmosphere spray. -
Cucumber, jasmine, stargazer lily or perhaps tuberose and a note that smells kinda plasticky. This one is fresh and plasticky, as opposed to foodie/plasticky which was what Clown White was. Great throw, great wearlength.
-
Waxy vanilla cream plastic. It smells like vanilla cake and playdoh. Which is weird on me. Great throw, great wearlength.

A Phantasmagoria: Scene – Conjuring Up an Armed Skeleton
zankoku_zen replied to Aviatrix's topic in Halloweenie
More feminine than I expected - talcum powder, roses, smoky amber and a touch of brown leather. This one smells like an old timey perfume, I think it's the powdery note. Honestly, I'd actually try and enable grandmothers worldwide with this blend. It sort of has that classic feel, feminine, not too intimidating but just enough leather to know that these older women still have a spine and can swat you with their purses if they need to.- 8 replies

Red musky amber, red pepper, frankincense and thyme. This one is an odd red fruity, touch of cinnamon, red pepper and thyme over a resinous base. And it smells vaguely like italian food to me, but that may be the combination of red pepper and thyme. Good throw and good wear length.

BPAL's Calla Lily blend is very different from the Stargazer note. It's slightly waxier, sweeter and soapier. It's not as 'green fresh' and reminds me more to Irish Spring but in lily form. Much more of a commercial scent to me. Fresh, powerful, clean.
-
Stargazer Lily is exactly what you would hope a lily blend to be - it's soft, fresh, and smells ever so gently of lilies and green sap. It's got such a clean edge, some may consider it soapy. However, to me, this smells like what I think lilies smell like. Stargazer Lilies were my sister-in-law's favorite flower. This smells so much like the flower, and reminds me so much of her. It's a soft, gentle blend full of memories.

Candiru Cove Frisbee Tournament Atmosphere Spray
zankoku_zen replied to Lycanthrope's topic in Atmosphere
Lemon, coconut, and furry musk. Again, super tropical and super coconut. Bright sunny Sylvia indeed! This really reminds me to suntan lotion and sun. Which is odd to think about in 40 degree weather. But if you're jonesing for tropical beaches, Candiru Cove will take you there! -
Coconut, rum, cake. This does smell like a coconut version of Midway. If that is the sort of thing you enjoy, Captain Lilith is great! I sort of enjoy it even when I am not a fan of either gourmand blends or coconut. It's been, in fact, a super coconutty weekend for me.

Leather, tobacco, lavender and oudh. This one is soft, manly brown leather scent. Good throw, good wearlength. For fans of Quincy Morris, check this out.

Plum, sandalwood, and vetiver. This one is a dark, mature perfume. Deep purple in vibe. Dark, sexy, queenly.

Moonflower, violet, tuberose with hints of lavender and musk. This one is a light floral with darker elements serving as the base. Good throw, good wearlength. Sexy white florals with evil intentions.

Very complex. Red wine, geranium, red fruits, candles and smoke. Very sexy. It reminds me in vibe to "Opium" from YSL.

Sweet cherry, vanilla, and hints of musk and sand. It's sweet, and beachy, and with just a touch of goth.

Delayed at Ingolstadt Air Field Atmosphere Spray
zankoku_zen replied to Lycanthrope's topic in Atmosphere
Spring flowers, ozone and moss. I get a touch of violet. This one is like alpine flowers in autumn. It's springlike but there's a coolness that I associate with a higher elevation. Fun, fresh, and great for refreshing a room that doesn't seem much use. I'm currently at my in-laws guest bedroom which doesn't typically see much use during the rest of the year and its great for making stale sheets smells nice! -
A Moment In Time HG is actually slightly smokier on me than the perfume oil. I definitely get more of the sandalwood and wood in this one. I wore this on Thanksgiving, along with a Moment in Time perfume oil, and the perfume oil is much more lavender and vanilla in it. Super comforting and perfect to help you destress for the holidays!
-
Silkybat + coconut. I think this is actually smokier than Silkybat but it has the same sugared patchouli incense that Silkybat with some silky coconut in it. If you loved Silkybat and love coconut, give this a whirl.

Cassia SN smells like what you expect it to - rich, spicy, heady. It's spicy, kinda cinnamony but not quite, and very in your face. Good throw, low wearlength.
-
Resinous frankincense and leaves. This smells like leaves and a touch of resin as the background. Very autumnal. MEH.
-
Lemon, green apples and cedar. This one is a pencil + green apples sort of smell. Which is very odd to me. Decent throw and wear length.
-
Sweet cinnamon over tinges of leather, sandalwood and musk. Overall, this is very wearable. I really sort of enjoy it but its too masculine for me to wear. I tried this on mr. zee_zee but it ended up a warm incensey over leather blend on him.

Blackened sweet notes of tonka over smoky oak and a touch of patchouli. This is sexy in a FIRE way. Ugh, so good. Good throw, good wear length.

This one toggled between sweet and odd herbals. On wet, it was much sweeter with the honey and white rose dominating. Now, it got the odd herbals and I swear I smell something that smells like a moist toadstool mushroom underneath all of the honey and white rose swirls. This is probably one of the most interesting white rose blends I've ever smelled.
