Okay so I am torn on how well this has aged. On wet, there's this sour almost waxy plastic overlay to the rose geranium smell that is off-putting. Thankfully, it burns off in the final drydown so I get a rose geranium with a brighter citrus edge (which may be the sour piece that I originally smelled on application). It's got good throw for something that has been around for 10+ years. Definitely smells like rosey geranium. I don't see rose geranium as a note that one would opt to wear (at least not for me), as opposed to ambergris or narcissus which both have a bright single note vibe that can be used as perfume.

Honey, oats, hay, and maybe a touch of patchouli. To me this smells like a honeyed oats and hay smell. It's golden, warm, and pleasant. It smells like endless bounty.

#118 This chaos oriental smells like a more floral Morocco. Less carnation and more some other floral. Peony maybe? Not entirely sure. #165 This Chaos Oriental smells super familiar. It's a heavy, creamy, almost foodie vanilla musk with powdery sandalwood and something else. If I could just put my finger on it...

Sweet grass, dry pumpkin husk, and fall sunlight. This smells like the atmo. It's a really interesting hair gloss. Fall, sunlight and dry scorched grass. It shouldn't be appealing, but it totally is.

Dry red wine, clove, and myrrh smoke. There is something almost sour to this blend on the drydown. Not boozey at all. Very complex and mature.

I don't think that the Daffodil SN has aged particularly well. It's a very light, green (slightly stemmy/sappy on wet), barely there green-white floral. It's soft, delicate, and very inobtrusive. Very low throw, medium wear length. It's almost a ghostly smell, but spring-like. So spring ghosts? I have the Narcissus SN on the other wrist for comparison, and that one is very heavy and heady and its still going on strong. Honestly at this point in my head, narcissus SN smells more like what the daffodil SN should smell like.

In order of strength, white musk, vanilla and dead leaves. Whereas the perfume was more of a dead leaves with a touch of vanilla, I find the white musk to be much more prominent in hair gloss form. Cool, crisp, white musk.

Named in honor of the most notorious female pirate to ever set sail. Wicked, cruel, beautiful, intelligent, resourceful and dangerous: a true role model. A blend of Indonesian red patchouli, red sandalwood, and frankincense. A million thanks to Juliana Williamson-Page for inspiration! Has seriously none of the previous Anne Bonny atmo owners come to review this? This smells pretty much like Anne Bonny perfume. However, it's more of a blend. I tend to amp the patchouli in Anne Bonny perfume, and while I can smell it, I can also smell the smooth frankincense and sandalwood in this, which evens the red patchouli out (and its definitely red patchouli as opposed to black) in this. The spray smells like a strong, feminine patch/resin blend. I enjoy Anne Bonny more as a spray than as a perfume!

Slushy snow, tobacco, and smoke. This one toggles between a cold and a warm blend. Chewy tobacco and slushy snow. Good throw, good wear length. Ugh, part of me really likes this.

I know I had a lab labelled imp of this at some point but forgot to review this. This is definitely tea roses, jasmine and a touch of magnolia. Definitely juicy Southern floral - heady, juicy, and very powerful. Great throw and wearlength, of course, for all things jasmine.

Oh man, this one smells like sophisticated perfume: a mix of cypress and sandalwood. It's very luxurious. And then, you get a whiff of the blood musk.

Ugh, this smells like Bailey's (Irish Cream) and white cake. It smells only slightly dusty as a top note, but its a foodie/cake blend. Low throw, good wear length. Again too foodie for me, but I'm glad to test it out.

Gingered Chocolate Soufflé

Boozy, fudgey chocolate dries down to a spicy ginger overlay on the dark chocolate. Good throw, good wear length. Definitely a foodie and chocolate blend. Too foodie for me. -
Still Life with Peaches: Herculaneum, AD50 Atmosphere Spray
zankoku_zen replied to hammy's topic in Atmosphere
Peaches, myrrh, and a touch of olive blossom. Heavy, heady peaches that smell greek. There's something else that my nose is picking up in the background. -
This smells like Christmas in a bottle - Christmas pine tree, berries, snow and apple cider and just everything magical. This is insta-Christmas. You feel like you need some Christmas in your life? Use this!

Golden incense, spices and woods. This smells rich and exotic.

I have been looking for a decant of this hair gloss for a while. It smells like a sophisticated piney glassy lily blend. I sprayed it on and mr. zee_zee went "oooh, that smells nice!" It's kinda chilly, sophisticated, and definitely has that glassy aspect to it. Definitely a keeper in my book and I'm glad I was able to track a decant down.

So this is either a deep brown red or a deep red with brown highlights. On wet, with just one coat on it looks brown. The red in it doesn't really show up until you're under intense light or in sunlight. It looks like a deep purple raisin burgundy color otherwise. This is deep, dark, and vampy. LOVE IT.

Soft, sorrowful resins, leather and a touch of sandalwood and amber. This one smells wam and sad and just like the empathy you feel for someone else's pain. It's comforting while acknowledging loss. I think I'd actually recommend Palmyra as a ritual blend because it has that sort of vibe. Low throw, OK wear length. Soft, comfort and sadness.

Chocolate orange, cocoa powder, vanilla honey. This one is a sweet chocolate and foodie blend. It's sweet, sugary, and chocolatey. In some ways, this smells like a chocolate candy. Good throw, good wear length. Sweet, sugary, chocolate.
-
This to me smells like rosewood and frankincense. Soft pink roses with a resinous base. It's ethereal, soft, and lovely. Low throw, good wearlength. Soft roses, resin, soft.
-
This one is what I'd consider a fairly accessible men's cologne. Slightly warm, but then there's a citrusy cologne underneath. Gleaming is a great word that comes to mind. Good throw, good wear length. Gleaming, men's cologne/aftershave.

Teak, black musk, blood musk. This one smells like the darkest and most foreboding of all of the Crimson Peaks I've tried. Fairly masculine and the entire combination actually smells to me like blood soaked black leather. Good throw, good wearlength. Blood soaked black leather.
-
Crimson is beautiful. I get saffron, red sandalwood, clove and a touch of oudh. i was expecting something more brutal, but it ends up being a musky, very red vibe blend. Good throw, good wear length. Dark, musky, sandalwood.

Love Makes Monsters of All of Us smells like a more intense version of Firethorn Berry Tea - plus more clay and more musk. Whatever is in Firethorn Berry, amp that up to 10, subtract the red currant and throw in gobs of claw and blood musk. It's intense, visceral and a bitter slap in the face. If Firethorn Berry is a poison, Love Makes Monster is a dagger to plunge straight in the heart of your enemy as you sneer at them without any apologies. Bitter, brutal, musky.
