This blend opens up with a bit hit of almond, thane I get patchouli, and then a blast of rum. It dries down to a rum/amber blend with hints of patchouli. A very piratey wench kinda blend actually. Good throw and wear length.

Resinous rock rose. This one smells only a touch rosy, lots of resins, and myrrh. It's a very dark colored oil. Good throw and wear lenght.

Okay, so this blend is full of notes that I don't typically like: well-worn leather, cedar, and white-sage. So color me surprised, when I test them on my nativity day, and find that I quite like it. It's both delicate and robust, gender neutral, herby mossy but with enough green and woods to make it well-rounded. It's very well blended, and I'm actually quite pleased with the blend for my Sun sign. Modest throw and wear length. I'd definitely think about getting a bottle of this one. ETA: the drydown is an aquatic mossy. I like it.

Beeswax, cake, dust, and a whiff of leather. This smells dusty, chilly, and kinda sweet. Interesting and atmospheric, but not for me.

“I feel like all the sands are at the bottom of the hourglass.” “Turn it over, then.” The white roses and orange blossoms of hope penetrating despair’s black fog of opoponax, black myrrh, bruised violet, clove, funereal lily, and grief-struck carrot seed. Okay, to me the Hourglass is like a kissing cousin to When Stars Are Weeping. Because I adore When Stars, I like the Hourglass, but I'm not blown away by it. I get bitter carrot seed, clove, myrrh. It's a watery lily, violet and myrrh blend. It's pretty, but doesn't quite have the magic for me that When Stars does.

This one is one of those candy + other things blend. On wet, I got a hit of butter rum. And it dries to a gummies + whiskey sort of blend. There's something woody in the background. And I smell anise - but it's anise and not licorice. Sugary gummies, anise, and woody whiskey.

Tangerine, red musk, ti leaf, vanilla orchid, and white honey. Secrets of the Hanamachi smells like citrusy musk, a touch of honey, and orchids. It's a contrast of pleasant florals with a very sexy background. Definitely asian in vibe.

Lemon peel and white sandalwood with sweet amber and black tea. This one is a bit of an odd duck. From the tester, it smells like an oily paper umbrella to the point that I was questioning whether to spritz or not. I ended up using a tiny bit, and the strongest note you get is lemon, sandalwood and then amber. It actually smells pretty clean and fresh. Very spring-like. If you simply went with what it smelled like at first sniff from the spritzer, you probably wouldn't spray it!

Okay, so I received two In Reilig Oran prototypes, plus a tiny tester of the released version for comparison purposes. In Reilig Oran v1: This one has more "grass" in it. On wet, I swear I smelled something that smelled like marigolds. But on the drydown, its sweeter and grassier. Maybe even a touch of bluebells? This one is definitely much more close to Host of Air. More throw than the released version. Less stone. When compared to the released version, the released version smells slightly more sour and darker. In Reilig Oran v2: I think there's more moss in this version. I get a more 'aquatic' feel. There's also a sweet airy note in it, which on version 1 is giving a HUGE throw, and there was a bit of citrus in it. But yeah, a slightly more citrusy mossy aquatic version.

Green dead leaves, touch of cinnamon, and loads of cedar. This one is not for me. -
Powdery sandalwood with a touch of citrus white tea. This is kinda skeletal and bare.

Dead Leaves, Honeyed Patchouli, Black Tea, Sweet Oudh, and Sandalwood Hair Gloss

Dead Leaves, hint of patchouli, honey and a touch of oudh. This one is a very sophisticated and autumn dead leaves smell. -
So this smells like sueded leather, touch of whiskey, musk and bay rum. It's fairly assertive and lasts a long time. I sprayed this on the comforter in our room in the afternoon, and I could still smell it this morning. It smells heavy and rich, and like sueded leather, and its warm and inviting.

Samhain for your hair! I get heavy spices, fall leaves, and a touch of apple. Lovely and fall like.

Smoky resin, tobacco, and whiffs of dirt and snow. This is gritty, outside and smells like dirt overall.
-
On wet, this is olive blossom and florida water. And then this amazing transformation of tobacco + bay rum + patchouli comes out. And yes, This smells like an amped up version of Voodoo mixed with the herbs in Hellhound. And really, it smells manly, sexy and earthy. UNF. I dropped a little on the mouse pad and it smells very differently on the skin as opposed to just on an inanimate object. The warmth clearly makes everything blend together. Must try on mr. zee_zee.

Dark, earthy, rooty. I get warm patchouli, dry leaves, and a touch of mandrake. This smells like dirt. But the magical kinda of dirt. The dirt you pick up in the super old haunted cemetery in your town at like midnight on a new moon day, because you have to work some magic. Powerful, manly, earthy.

The Ghost of a Woman Confronts Her Murderer on a Stormy Night

Cedar, patchouli, and musk. This smells like a dirty pencil. BLEGH. Cedar. Good throw and wear length. -
Strong beeswax note, hints of violet and moss. But mostly all beeswax. Great throw and wear length.
-
Red musk, sweet amber, touch of resin. It's rich, sultry and very sexy.
-
Orangey-neroli, touch of rose, and deep resins. This one is a somber blend. Good throw and wear length.
-
Red wine, a drop of blood, and some herbal undertones. Good throw and wear length. This one is a dark, dominant, assertive blend. For a strong woman that is not afraid to take what is hers. And what isn't hers.
-
Fuzzy brown leather, musk, and frankincense. It turns into a very close to the skin blend. Low throw and good wear length.
-
Ginger syrup, hint of lime, and fizz. This one actually arcs masculine on me, so I'd consider this a green fizzy blend for BPAL's men to check out. Good throw and wear length.
-
Fuzzy brown musk. It's a little sweet, thick, dark and smells like there's a pinch of patchouli in this. Dark, rooty, musky. Good throw and wear length.
