Ooooh boy. This smells almost peppery when I first applied it. And now its just a very incensey blend on me. Very masculine too. Yup. Definitely not my cup of tea. But I have to admit it almost smells like fine tobacco. It's not something I aspire to smell like it, but it's a not an entirely displeasing smell.

Oh good, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that is getting mint from this. I get a light minty rose at the beginning and as it dries, I get more of the incense base. This is actually quite pretty and I think I'm sad that its gone away. Boo.

It's funny, but you do associate a smell with a person. I smell Angel and it starts minor heart palpitations because I'm worried I'll run into my ex-boss. For me, Chanel #5 is what my mother wore when she wore perfume (my dad is horribly allergic). So while I like the smell, I would never be able to wear it. More importantly, I shouldn't want to *hug* random strangers just because they smell like my mother... -
When I first applied it, my immediate reaction was "This smells like Skadi". And while I passed my imp on a long time ago, I remember my impression of Skadi because of the pine. Upon application, you get this pine smell with the frostyness underneath. After about an hour, the pine is gone and I smell the sweet slushy sort of snow like scent. Unfortunately, I don't think that has a great throw. And it doesn't appear to be sticking around since its pretty faint at the moment. I'm going to try it again before I decide what to do with it. On the other hand, if you were wondering what Skadi smells like, Old Moon gives you a pretty good idea.

This is such a mish-mash of florals --- like a big, bright springtime bouquet. I can smell the roses and the daffodils, but there are so many other floral smells swirling around at the same time with a touch of sweetness. Bright, sunny and happy. It's like being in the middle of a wildflower garden on a nice sunny afternoon.

Maybe it's just me but Green Tree Viper smells like Thierry Mugler's "Angel". I liked GTV, but my evil ex-boss wore Angel all the time and I can't stand the smell. -
This was a very strong apple scent on application, slightly sweet and herby though. Like you just picked it. The amber gives it a sweet golden tone to it. It kinda puts me in mind of the Poisoned Apple, but not. Whereas PA was sinister, Verdandi is more mysterious.

This does not work on my skin. Maybe its the combination of leather + Snake Oil + tonka + sage. It's like a smokier version of Snake Oil. The tonka is very much present. But like all things Snake Oil, it just doesn't work on me. There's something in the components of S.O. that me and my skin don't get along with.

Irish Spring indeed! This is a clean, ozoney, slightly soapy, slightly masculine kinda smell. That is, if you like your guy to smell like Irish Spring does Pirates!

This is SUCH a trip for me. Most of the time, most scents don't morph too much on me. Jolly Roger does. At the beginning, it's very aquatic - salty sea spray. And then, the salty air is gone --- and its replaced by a very heavy wood. The kind that you would find in a beach. And an hour later, I get leather. Well worn and salty kinda leather. And yes, I do feel piratey! This is a really fun scent. I don't know if I would ever wear it as a perfume, but its certainly fun to play with.

Again, rose complicates everything. This is a very clean floral... but it reminds me to french milled soap. I like it --- in the same way I like clean skin. This would make a very pretty soap smell but not the kind of perfume I enjoy.

This is a fairly masculine scent. I get the frankincense note pretty strongly. It does remind me a lot to Arcana, but sweeter. Unfortunately, this is too masculine for me to wear and the DH is not interested in this kind of scent. All works out well, although Anthony caused me to have my first imp incident.

At the beginning, this was very much a guava fruit gum sort of smell. Sweet fruits, but with a gummy undertone. After about twenty minutes, the pepper made an appearance and it was like peppered sugared fruit. Now its back to the bubblegum/candy sort of smell. I really disliked the pepper stage, it just didn't smell right to me, so I think this clown is a pass for me.

This is a very yellow kinda scent and yes, it does put me in mind of Easter. Yellow daffodils and heady flowers but with a touch of something more. It does have a slight sweetness to it, probably coming from the cakes. Somehow, it also makes me think of the South and going to mass. Interesting and beautiful, but it's not something I would personally wear.

This really *is* like washing with Rose Red perfume. In the shower its cool, crisp roses with that hint of green. On me, the BPAL rose note is a juggernaut... it just takes over and blooms prolifically. In the case of the soap however, it does not dominate and I'm just lightly scented. And I can still put on perfume on top and it does not clash. Lathers well, makes the bath smell good. I'm not a rose fan but I'm very happy to have been able to try this soap. Rose Red lovers should REALLY like this.

You know, I really kinda like this. This a bright green juicy berry/fruity scent. Not too sweet, not too berry, a little green and herbally for contrast, but still has that bright clear aquatic kinda feel to it. Clean and refreshing to my nose, since most berry notes tend to go horribly sweet on my skin. Surprise hit? Very much so!

This is a very strongly sweet scent. The combination of both the vanilla (which on me is sweet) and the dragon's blood resin make this a MEGA sweet scent. After about two hours, the sweetness calms down and I get a musky kinda vanilla.

Oh man, this blend is not for me. Upon application this is just like... olive juice. And then it dries down, and its kinda like dusty boozy florals. This goddess and I are definitely not getting along.

Evil fruit. This does smell like ripe, juicy fruits and something evil and slithery lurking underneath. Fruit death. For me, I think it's a combination of the pinkpepper and jasmine that is repelling me. Evil. Evil.

This is definitely sugary vanilla musk. Perhaps a bit too sugary for me, but still pretty and pleasant. I can definitely see this being the 'base' for Black Lace (which I couldn't wear because of the evil tobacco). And I definitely can see why this has such massive appeal. ETA: It's been a while Antique Lace. It really has been. You smell like deep vanilla, musk, and hints of lace. You're sweet, somewhat whispy and in general just a very wearable vanilla. Without being too foodie.

This is white tropical blooms --- and dryer sheets. Something about this scent ends up smelling like dryer sheets on me. Fantastic smelling dryer sheets. Honestly, I would love it if my laundry smelled like this. But I do not fancy smelling like clean laundry myself.

This scent went horribly awry on my skin. Horribly. On me, the first hour or so just smelled kinda foul --- smoke and burning and peppery. I kept it on hoping it would turn. After about an hour, it does. Just a little. Not quite so much burning and pepper. I get no hint of the ginger, but rather a musky smoky kinda smell. I have to say that this fits what I thought of War. Violent, smoky, martial. It should be appealing but it's not. And in its wake, nothing but destruction.

Mmm. This is spicy gingerbread with a touch of incense. Gingerbread Poppet and I didn't work out, but this one is like a sexier version of what I imagined Gingerbread Poppet would be. Smashing. Now I see why so many people love Shub.

This dark --- smoky and incensey without the grounding bases of patchouli or sandalwood. It reminds me to an interesting and arcane headshop... you never know what you're going to find inside.

For me, this is like a sweet grape soda. It is by far the most purple scent I've ever tried --- but it's too sweet. Prospero is a sweet, plum and grape dessert wine.
