Oh boy. I am not a foodie lover either, but this one is pretty darn amazing. It starts out as sugary goodness (makes me think of a sweeter salt water taffy), but on wet, the vanilla had a weird plastic tinge (which I get from certain vanillas). After an hour however, it's delicate cotton candy and funnel cake. It actually makes me hungry. This is a very dangerous scent for me. *Off in search of baked goods*

Oh man, this didn't work on either me or the hubby. In fact, the hubby said "Wow, this makes me think of a urinal cake". Whatever description I might have had at that point, was lost, because that's ALL I could think about. On me however, it was more floral and slightly muskier. On him, it was definitely fumey like flowers.

I have to say, this does kind of remind me to Parthenope (or Parthenope reminds me to Bayou). I get that blue-green vibe off of it - it's hot, and sultry. Aquatic hothouse flowers, and one of them must be jasmine. It's less aggressive than in Parthenope though. But really, I think Bayou might be the GC equivalent of Parthenope.

So I get a mild tea with metallic overtones on wet. It has a bit of a bright citrus burst when first applied. As it dries... OMG. This is the BPAL version of CK One. I used to own CK One way back in the day. What I loved was the masculine/feminine juxtaposition. And you totally get it here. It's got a floral base but hidden underneath is that metallic sheen to the scent. Love it.

Oh man... Honeysuckle and Jasmine duel it out - it's like a slightly aquatic hothouse floral death match. Jasmine wins. I throw my tickets. I was betting on Honeysuckle. Jasmine beams. I scowl.

In the imp, this really made me think of the pith of the grapefruit. It was a strong citrus smell, and it did well with the ozone. I loved it on wet, but as it dried, it kind of became a lemon pledge cleaner. SAAAD.

On me, I get this resinous peppery orange smell. The amber turns just a hint of powder as it dries, the orange fades a bit, but in general it is a spicy resinous scent. Not my kind of thing, but it's really gorgeous.

You know, I didn't think I'd like this one. But I do. The patchouli is like Lush's Blue Skies, but it's a little more citrus. I was surprised that the most noticeable note on my actual skin was the citrus. It was patchouli/citrus love. I really liked it. In fact, I liked it more than Castitas. I wouldn't call it in your face sexy, but a very sensual coy kind of sexy. Oh yes.

Oh man, I get a really strong melon note from the beginning. It's a melony kind of violet, wispy and cool. On the drydown, there is a bit of an Irish Spring, but it bounces back to the melony violet mist. Lovely.

This one starts as a snowy, chilly pine. And dries, to an almost warm resin. This is what digging a grave in winter must be. It's cold outside, but once you get to digging, you're sweating under the exertion. But outside, it's still cold. Keep digging.

This one is hot leather (like temperature wise, it puts me in mind of the heat that comes off in waves off the asphalt) and metallic ozone. This one is a very masculine scent to me - commanding and 'don't mess with me'. It's a bit imperious. After a while, there is a slight spicyness to it, and the hotness of the leather cools a bit. This is very unusual in my mind. And on the right man, you just have to bow to him. Bow. Now.

This one is definitely smoky, cinnamon peppery blend. It does put me in mind of scorched earth. I find it a very bitter scent, in that sense.

This is like a rosy honey cake. At the beginning, I got more of the almond note, and it was like a Middle Eastern almond honey cookie. The almond sort of went into the back and then the rose came out to the front. As it dries, I get a slightly more resiny/musky base to it. But yeah, rosy honey cake.

This is a very boozy plum. The most predominant note is the plum - boozy and sweet. Very rich. I'm not sure I'm all that fond of plum...

This one is an odd one for me - I wasn't originally interested in it. At the beginning, it's a very fumy pastry cake, sweet honey, cakey and doughy. It kind of makes me think of Cockaigne. That burns off mostly and I get a very orchid-like scent, bolstered a little by a 'snowy' feel with the occasional 'pastry' scent. I am very on the fence on this - on whether I even like it. I don't enjoy the heavy cake I get, but the orchid/snowy/piney drydown is very beautiful. Definitely a morpher for me!

I was frimped very generously with a sniffie. Thanks! This is one of the moons that is much beloved but I had the sinking suspicion this wouldn't work out well. On wet, it's almost like MM2007 - coconutty, milky, but with a faint plastic tinge to it. It dries down to a creamy coconut/pina colada kind of scent on me. Sweet, milky, slightly fruity. Yup, no baby. No chasteness. Just beach fun.

If the scent was a morpher, the atmosphere spray is not. I get chilly pines and slight florals. More importantly, it kind of makes me think Ice Queen if it were a room scent. Not exactly the same, but close enough. Mmm. Loving it. Most intrigued now to try the bath oil. :D Oh, and the fact that my bedroom smells so good with just a lil bit of room spray is AWESOME. I love BPTP atmospheric sprays for their throw.

Wow. I didn't expect this one to be such a morpher - so at the beginning, this is very much snowy pines. In fact, on wet, it's almost a dead ringer for Skadi on me. It's got that heavy, wintry pine going on. As it dries, the pine recedes and instead I get a frosty plum. The plum warms up though, and its a very sweet, heavy plum scent on me. After an hour, it definitely has an extremely warm base (benzoin) and it's still plummy with a touch of florals. Not what I was expecting. At all. But pretty nonetheless. I don't think I need as much as I thought I would - which is good, since the other descriptions have me intrigued.

Oh man. This has got to be the dirtiest BPAL I've tried so far. It definitely has patchouli in it. On wet, it smelled like moist earth, the kind that grows things. Good, solid, wet dirt. It had this green vibe going on. Now that it's dried, the patchouli is more distinctive, and not quite as 'dirty'. It is still a very 'earthy' kind of scent. If you like dirt, patchouli and growing flowers, this is for you. It really does remind me to playing in a garden.

There is definitely pine in this. At the beginning, it was an herby pine, slightly chilly. Now I get a very soft pine and a touch of sandalwood. On the right guy, this would be a total knockout.

Despite whatever beneficial effects this blend might have, the scent doesn't work for me. At the beginning, its an herbally lemon almond kind of scent. But as I wore it, I got distinctive whiffs of powder. Now its just a lemony powder. Like talc, but with lemon juice mixed into it. I think its more distracting that anything else. I really don't fancy smelling 'puffs' of talcum powder out of nowhere. And then realizing, it's me! ETA: 2015 So I managed to swap for a bottle of Van Van and am thinking of using it along more the lines of TALs as opposed to just a perfumey BPAL. It still smells almond/powdery to me, but I find it much more bearable. I think of it more along the lines of a "gunk be free!" sort of blend.

Oh man, this was on wet, in the vial, and for the first hours, sweet tarts and lilies combined. Sweet, sugary lily candies were dancing on my skin. After an hour, the sweetness has mellowed out, and it has taken on more of a 'green aspect'. Interesting, to say the least, but I don't think this particular plant and I get along.
-
Okay, so at the beginning, I wasn't too impressed with this scent. On wet, it was a slightly peachy but generic spring flowers. As it has dried, I get more of the ginger and lily. Unfortunately, the lily is just a teensy bit soapy. Sad, since I do enjoy the floral ginger thing its got going on.

Haha. I can totally see what the fuss is about. This scent is fabulous! At the beginning, it was almost impossibly sweet. The caramel and the tobacco are some of the more predominant notes. On wet, the tobacco really came to the fore for the first half hour. After that, it calmed down, and now its a sweet caramel with a hint of tobacco and cinnamon. Not too sweet. I'm not usually attracted to this kind of scent at all ---- but let me tell you, I'm totally on the fence about whether to keep it or not. That's the kind of allure Pinched has for me.

This is based off a pipette sniffie. WOW. If this smells on the skin as good as it just smells, I can understand the craze. To me it smells like the ultimate foodie/musky blend. Just enough spice and sweet to go with the musky base I smell. I can definitely smell the vanilla, and usually we're not friends, but I do want to become HER friend in this blend, if you catch my drift. Mmm. If it weren't so darn rare, I'd like to try some of it one day! ETA: Managed to swap for a teensy bit of this lovely. It's this spicy, musky vanilla. It really is the ultimate foodie/musky blend - spicy and sweet and musky and droolicious. I am not a huge convert, but I think I'll be huffing this every so often.
