    Wolf Moon 2004

This one is more of an aquatic/clean on me than I expected, I get some pine and the dreaded dryer sheet problem. Ah well.

    Lot and His Daughters

There was something very dark and intense about this scent on application - and I think it was the black musk. And as it dries, it is sweeter and the rose geranium pops up as well as something almost violently lemon-ish. So think of this as very citrus/lemon with a base of black musk, with a whiff of rose. It makes my head break.

    The Great He-Goat

Oh god, on wet, this smells like dirty goat. Sweaty animal. I bet it's the vetiver. As it dries, I get less of the dirty animal smell and it's a sweeter amber and patchouli coming through. So yes, sweet amber + dirty goat. SCARY.

    Purple Phoenix

This one is very purpley. I get more plum than grape in this blend, but really, it's a fun plum/grape combination of flowers. It kinda reminds me to Morgause, minus the incense.

    Mantis

Sweet herbs, a touch airy, and with a whisp of tangerine. As it dries, the airyness turns a little into dryer sheets and it's a sweet, almost resiny based with the airy dryer sheets.

    Stormclouds Over The Midway

This was ozones and plum, and it's a very fresh scent. I quite like this more than I thought I would. The ozone does make me think of Torture Queen, but it's softer, less metallic, more airy. Prettier than you can imagine. And if you like plum, this is like plum air.

    The Blood Garden

This had a very strong blood accord at the beginning. And then, I get more of a blackberry wine from this. But it's all very sinister. It actually makes me a little uncomfortable. Yup, not for me.

    Eden

I think the fig in this makes me think of the horn. It's fig and coconut and soft and musky. If you like fig and/or coconut, you definitely have to try this. I can see this scent being popular.

    Black Lotus

This is a flowery bubblegum, the myrrh makes the bubblegum almost dirty.

    Loviatar

This one is red musk and leather, and it dries to a sweet leather scent.

    Mata Hari

Oh god, it's roses and cat pee. The jasmine definitely smells prominently and very unpleasantly. Full of not.win.

    Marguerite

So this is a rose/rose geranium blend on wet wool. Gardenia strikes again. *sigh*

    Isaac, the Living Skeleton (2006)

This is a nice smelling fellow. I find it smooth, almost dry, with a hint of masculine cologne and a splash of tobacco rum. Oddly enough, it smells almost piratey but since most of the pirate inspired scents have not worked out for me, this one I find is more evocative. I can see how this would be categorized as sleazy, it kinda does have that vibe going on. But hey, it works.

    Bad Luck Woman Blues

I get an almost masculine feel from this. It's predominantly woods and caramel, with a hint of tobacco. I can see the similarity to Arrival at the Sabbath, and even, Ventriloquist Dummy. Nope. Not for me.

    Enraged Groundhog Musk

I didn't really get cherries from this. I definitely got the musk, caramel and cardamom. The caramel isn't overwhelming, and the cardamom adds a welcome spice to the sweet musky blend. I like this better than I anticipated.

    Embalming Fluid Claw Polish

I dabbed this on. I couldn't help myself. I do love glitter - and this is wonderful. It looks green in the bottle, but goes on clear, if you don't take the glitter. The glitter is small, sophisticated and iridescent. I've only had this on for a little while, but I noticed a faint glow when I went to the bathroom. What I like is that the glitter is fine, small specks. Very inconspicious. I don't think they'd noticed in the office. Until I moved my hands. And yes, I am staring at the shiny, fascinated. Heheh.

    Destroying Angel Claw Polish

What can be said that hasn't been said? This is a wonderful brown color. With two applications, it's this velvety rich brown, with a purple undertone in certain lights. The color is to-die-for, especially in the fall. It reminds me to the color of this old velvet coat my mother had that she got from Saks - the velvet was plush, the color was brown brown brown without that annoying red sheen that can turn brown into something akin to a cockroach. No, this is elegant, sophisticated and utterly delicious. I am very pleased. ETA: The color in the bottle is approximately the same shade as the Hershey Chocolate Bar wrapper. You know the kind. Those giant six pack blocks you buy to make smores with. Yeah. Those.

    Tenochtitlan

This was a soft, gentle tropical blend with a slight amber/powdery base. I get hints of coriander here and there.

    Black Opal

Haha. I have to say that I see the Antique Lace comparisons and the 'vanilla rocks' comment. This is pretty much a soft, slightly 'rocky' vanilla. It's pretty soft, and has almost no throw for me. Yup. Not for me.

    Death Adder

Ugh. This is the heaviest Snake Pit. The coconut and vetiver have a death match, and at the end, they both lose to the Snake Oil. But that's way way later. After the dust settles. The first few minutes are very intense. And smelly.

    Geek

This was sweeter than I expected. I got pine, leather and aged cologne. Part of me reminded me to Doc Buzzard - but sweeter and less leathery. Hmmm. I might have to put this on the husband.

    Fruitcake

Ah, this really does smell like fruitcake in the imp. I actually like fruitcake, if it is well-made. It's fruity, boozy and cakey, with a hint of cherries. Tasty.

    Reindeer Poop

I have to agree with purplemoonshoes. This does remind me to Ventriloquist Dummy, sans the wood notes. I get caramel and patchouli mostly. I did have to roll the imp a little in my hands to get the cocoa absolute, which sunk to the bottom, to sort of 'remix' itself with the rest of the oils but cocoa absolute tends to precipitate out anyway (I'm thinking of Wulric in particular). I got the cocoa as 'top note' almost, this is very caramel heavy really. It was fun to try and the label is absolutely adorable!

What do bottles and labels look like?

My only request is that you take another picture of the bottle and upload it into the gallery.

    Doc Buzzard

This is definitely the male counterpart to Voodoo Queen. This has the same spicy resinous base, but it's more masculine. I think it has cloves, because I get spicy, but it's a different kind of spicy. And again, I think there might be some tea in this. It doesn't smell all that great on me, and really, I'm still reeling from the VQ awesomeness.
