This is definitely like fresh, aquatic manly cologne. It's got a fresh, bright ozone/watery quality to it, slightly floral with a hint of mint. As it dries however it goes as Irish Spring soap on me....

I agree with the sweet fruit gummy comparison. This is sweet blackberry/black currant wine jam. It's a dessert wine that has become a scent. In fact, it makes me want to break out the raspberry wine I have at home. Tasty, esp. if you love fruity, sweet and boozy scents. ETA: The prototype v9 is very very close to the released version. Less cassia, more vanilla, and for me there's more of a cherry overlay to it.

Again, sweet incense over pipe tobacco. It's a sweet smoke, much sweeter than I expected actually, with an odd note of leather polish. Not leather, but leather polish. Yeah, smoky leather? Good. Smoky leather polish? Not so much.

This one is aged Anne Bonny - and let me tell you, this is strong, dirty, woodsy patchouli. It's got that 'clean' edge but it's still got that gritty, woodsy element to it. But yeah, this is very patchouli.

This is a really complex scent. I can smell a bit of honey, carnation, patchouli, tobacco, amber and other bits and pieces here and there. It's a complex, almost slightly manly cologne. It smells of power, decay, old castles, drunken revelries and something else. Something otherwordly. Decadent and mysterious.

This is a sweet berry, boozy scent with dark, woody undertones and swirls of patchouli. If you like Merlot, you should wear this.

I can see how people get that 'Ajax' smell. This is clean, lemon scented polished woods and dusty books. On wet, it is much 'dustier' but as it dries you can smell how solid the wood really is. Pretty, if you like wood scents.

Hmm, I can see why this is so coveted. This is leather, but it's not butch or strong, it's got a nice presence, with spicy and boozy overtones to it. It's dead sexy, like leather pants are sexy, just the right amount of naughty but not so overly sexual that you can't wear it outside of the bedroom.

Oddly enough, I don't get pine from this. It's a musky gin/dark musk when applied. Pretty dark. And then it dries to a very neat resinous blend. Unfortunately, it doesn't last more than three hours on me. Ah well.

MCVI it says, I got this decant as a frimp Hmmm... it's a smooth white/linen floral, that has a slight tendency to smell like laundry detergent. It smells nice and if my clothes smelled like this, I'd be happy. DCCCLXI This one had a bright lemony citrus pop at the beginning, with a hint of menthol, and now it's dried to a smooth, almost linen note. Very strong linen on it. Smells clean and breezy. Previously reviewed by Sapphy.

Hmmm... There appears to be no previous review of this. CCCXLV (Which I am assuming means 345) This was intensely berry on wet, but as it dried I get an almost vanilla/gingerbread cookie kind of smell. I wish the berries had stuck around.... CDXXXIV This one is berry... but it dries down to Fearful Pleasure, but without the apple cider and berries instead. I'm trying now to decide whether I need the bottle or not, or if my husband will say 'smells like potpourri,' which he did, for FP.

This one is also pretty dark - I get the patchouli, with hints of thyme, a little smoke and a little plum. The plum gives it a sweet, fruity edge, but underneath it's all smoky patchouli. If that's your thing, this is dead sexy.

I'm not entirely sure which issuance this is. But I think it might be the earlier one since both the dragon blood and pepper are present, but on the drydown they are very faint, which only happens to me in rather aged blends. I get the cocoa in this to sweeten it a bit and it kinda reminds to red musk. Very dark. And bloody. Yeah, not me.

At the beginning, I got a big whiff of pumpkin and leather. And now that it has dried I get the orange wood from it, which smells slightly orangey + pumpkin + a hint of leather. I'm not entirely sure what to make of this blend. I'm not sure I like it, but I'm not sure I dislike it.

I really get the copal on this one - I get this intense syrup sweetness on wet, which backs off and lets the florals bloom and I get more of the honey + syrup + desert flowers. Verrrry intense. Very sweet. Not my kind of blend, but talk about throw!

An expression of love, adoration, and desire, of beauty that transcends mortal desire and piques the interest of hell itself: attar of rose, calla lily, palmarosa, peach blossom, wisteria, rice flower, and black musk. This one is a very feminine blend. It combines some of my favorite elements like peach and lilies with a musk, but there's that rosy overlay that I'm not too fond of. When I first applied it, it was a very 'perfumey' blend but it's calmed down noticeably since then.
-
This one is a very dried rose and wood blend. My coworker said "You smell like potpourri" and I have to agree.
-
Not crazy about any of the notes here. I would say this is a pretty rose that isn't overwhelming and the cream doesn't go to plastic and the honey isn't too aggressive. It makes me think of yellow roses, actually. Very creamy, very girly, very innocent. Wonderfully executed.

Oh god, on wet, immediately this is a bad pumpkin/man cologne/leather scent. As it dries, that goes away and I get water and pumpkins - it is a watery pumpkin, but really its more like water and pumpkin bits. After an hour, it is most definitely leather and pumpkin. Yeah, not for me.
-
Hmmm, this is like burning wood -except the trace of smoke is faint, and it's very sinister. The smoke does have that 'stony' edged. It has this light, almost sweet overlay, until you sniff deeper and you get the acrid smoke. Erm... Spooky.

This one is so... odd on me. It's this wine and salty blood thing going on. Which I don't know if I like or I'm just a little perturbed about. Probably both. Don't get me wrong, it smells *nice*, it's just I'm not entirely sure what to make of it.

MCCCLXIV I got this as a frimp - I have to say lemon and orange candies. It's got this lemon fizz going on wet, which is very strong, but as it dries, I get more of an orange vibe from it. This is bright, sunny, sugary. Tasty.
-
I really get the bay rum and tobacco on the drydown. On wet, it was a very faint, vaguely sweet sort of resinous blend. Now the brimstome and tobacco have come out, and there's a hint of vanilla. I was wondering what all the fuss was about, and I have to say this isn't me. Ah well, I'm sure someone else will love it more.
-
This didn't turn out as expected. I get a lot of pepper and cedar from it. There is a bit of moss, but its way way back in the foreground. It's basically pepper and cedar. Made.of.lose *sigh* I was hoping for a green scent, instead I got pepper.

Seriously, thai coconut curry... except without the curry. It's got this creamy pumpkin and coconut. The pumpkin actually makes me think of squash. I think the mango in here just adds a teensy bit of sweetness, and it general, its like this yummy thai sauce. It makes me hungry. Seriously hungry. I can't wear this scent or I'd become like a thai craving hobbit. Eating all the time.
