This one is soft, dark smoky scent. I definitely get the patchouli and the coconut. I agree that the coconut is soft and dry. There is also a sweet floral overtone to it. However, as it dries, it turns to coconut baby powder on me. Sad.

At the beginning it's a really smoky and woodsy scent, but as it dries down, I get more of the sweetness. This is really nice. But we're not so into smoky scents, and I have *PLENTY* of room sprays from decant circles, so I'm thinking I'll let this one go.

Oh man, this one is a high pitched resinous blend. It doesn't help that I'm wearing Voodoo Queen today (cuz I needed to treat myself) and it just loses in comparison. There's an element here that seems sharp and high pitched and just grating. The resinous base is nice. I just don't like the overtone to it.

I get this dark floral incense with hints of spices and wood. Drydown, it's almost a straight up incense. Pass.

Hmmm, this one behaves almost entirely like Dorian --- slightly more vanilla like with touches of lavender. The drydown is entirely Dorian. Pass. Since I already have Dorian!

This one was a dirty, spicy sort of musk. Kindalike Roux ga Roux but more feminine. As it has dried, I get more of the almond and now it smells like an almond musky cookie. I can see the similarity to Bastet - with the almond and amber. But this one is... well, slightly more feral.

Okay, so this one smells like an old fashioned rose perfume. The kind that Victorian ladies would have worn. It's elegant, and refined, and very traditional, in the best way possible. This one is a very different scent from the Queen's Croquet Ground --- which was a full bloom rose with some green sap. This one is more like a rose, preserved, a little spicy, a little powdery. I think it might have violets as a component.

Cinnamon Sugar Cookies & Egg Nog

Erm, on wet this smelled overwhelmingly of eggy cookie batter. Not my deal at all. As it has dried, I get more of the cinnamon coming through and it smells like a cinnamon version of Sugar Cookie. Unfortunately for me, SC's vanilla had a plastic edge to it... and I fear it is the same vanilla used in this blend. Ah well. Here's to dodging a bullet? -
This one is woody herbally --- an almost dry wood and the herbs are almost bitter. Pass.

Based on a venerable French pontifical incense blend: monastic frankincense and myrrh, Damascus rose, Russian gardenia, cassia, and lily of the valley wafting on a chill Autumn wind. A celebration of the glory and suffering of the saints and matryrs of the Church. Okay this one is the 06 version.... and it's even more rosey than 2004. It's almost straight up rose, without any resins. Made.of.lose

Hmm... this one is more masculine than I expected. I definitely amp up the musk and leather, so it smells like a musky leather, with slightly sweet floral overtones. Really, it smells like a masculine cologne. A very sexy masculine cologne.

This one is a unrepentantly dark and resinous blend. I'm not a huge fan, but this one is dark, sweet, slightly woody incense with a peppery overtone. Pleasant, but not for the likes of me.

I got a goblin squirt of this --- and I get that melon overtone over a musky, slightly sweet base. It's masculine, but it's not overpoweringly so. It's someone who is comfortable in their own skin and sexy as hell. And yes, smart too. Gah. Very sexy. I wish I were in my bed now. With Doc Constantine. Mmmm.

This one is a lot more masculine than I expected! I think it's the combination of musk and poppy. It's kinda white and ethereal but mixed up with dirt (thanks patchouli!). Weird.

I get this as raspberry and the cedar. The vetiver is very well behaved and is just a teensy bit smoky around the edges. It's basically the sweetness of the raspberry and the dry cedar smell. Oddly enough, it works very well. I like this blend more than I thought I would!

Hmm... this one is plant-like, a touch aquatic. I get the dry woods, the swirling aquatic and a hint of pine. Really, this seems like a nice friendly puppy, one that likes long walks and splashing in puddles.

Okay, so on application this smelled like beer and blood. And now as it has dried it smells like blood and powder. Erm.. Just mildly freaked out here.

On application I get roses and almost a spicy, resinous incense with a hint of powder. It might be violet powder actually. I find this scent to stay very close to your skin... and after an hour, on me, it just smells like really good talcum powder. BOO.
-
So upon application, this is a medicinal/herby honey. And you really can't smell it if you put your nose close to your skin. The honey bouquet smell really wafts around you and I find that to be able to appreciate it, you really have to smell it from far away (meaning, no nose to wrist). I basically get a cloud of honey around my wrist, and it's pretty noticeable. It's not obnoxiously sweet or aggressive, like when honey is part of other blends. That might be because of the aging.

This is a dark, and sweet floral. It's subtle and pretty, but unfortunately in the drydown, I get something that smells like pinesol on me. Sad.
-
Wow, this one is really a banana! It smells like sweet bananas and dirt! Over time, I get bananas, dirt and a hint of something that smells like raisins. ... What an olfactory experience. It is surprisingly more wearable than I imagined. If you're looking for a banana scent, this is totally it! Move over Manila!

This one is a dragon's blood resin on me - sweet, spicy with hints of sugared mints and herbs. Overall, it doesn't change much from that except to get a little more flowery. Yeah. It didn't work out for us.
-
This smells like cake batter! Slightly coconutty, buttery cake batter. Unfortunately, as it dries, it goes to plastic on me. Ah well.

So far, this has GOT to be my favorite of the Phoenixs... It's a green, soft aquatic a mix of salty and sweet. I do think there might be some sweet pea in it but it isn't aggressive. It smells pretty, feminine and comforting. I might have to track a partial of this!
-
I think there's dragon blood resin and jasmine in this. This is a sweet, spicy incensey blend with a jasmine overlay. Seeing how I don't love jasmine, this isn't the kind of blend I'd wear. But I do have to agree --- it is seductive in its vibe!
