Carnation can be such a hit/miss for me. The SN on the other hand is the kind of carnation that works for me. It's heady, a little spicy, but in general SMELLS JUST LIKE A CARNATION FLOWER. The real deal. No joke. You're a carnation flower. I don't know what that means. But whatever. You smell fabulous.

Oh, oh, oh. I think I'm in love. It smells green, clean, and like apples. This is that green apple note from Snow Glass Apples. Obviously less icy, but it's the same. It's got a bit of a floral tinge to it, esp. when it dries. Some would say that its too delicate, or perhaps soapy, or even perfumey. Heathens. What do they know.

Rich, dark vanilla. Tones of dark wood and sassafras. Delicious. ETA: Used this as a moisturizer in the bath and sadly, there's a bit of the vanilla that goes plasticky on me.
-
Berries, peach and a touch of icyness. It's like a fruit pop/slushee, coolness. There's a light honey component to it. Tasty, but I think I like Butterfly Garden better.

Very light and sweet honey. Definitely florally tinge. It's very beautiful, light, and definitely sticks close to the skin. Its more predominant in the first hour, but after two, I can barely smell it. It's absolutely GORGEOUS, and makes anyone feel pretty.

Oddly enough, this Fraggle smells more like dryer sheets to me than Boober does. And I think it's the osmanthus. 2 hours later though, I get more of a lilac, delicate bloom going on (hello violet!), and something kinda spicey. Meh.

Linden and vanilla. It smells clean, and vanilla and Invidiana said it best when she said "vanilla laundry". It's a gentle, clean, scent. I'd also use this as soap, cleaning product, candle, etc. It's got that fresh, clean vibe that would make your house smell AWESOME.

Ultrasweet gardenia with a touch of coconut. Not my thing at all.
-
Herbal juniper and sweet mint. On wet, the sweet mint is predominant. That burns off a little and the herbal juniper comes in. It smells like a cross between really expensive shampoo and something cool and refreshing like a mint julep.

Floral honey. I'm not a big honey fan, but thought I'd give it a whirl. It's soft, silky and mr. zee_zee says that it smells nice. I squirted once on wet hair, and on wet it was pretty strong, but after about two hours I can't really smell it.

Lemony black musk, amber, hint of dry wood. It's a very strong female scent - and a cross between Haunted and L'Estate. It has that golden resiny amber from L'Estate, and while there isn't actually leather, the black musk does seems slightly 'leathery' to me. In a sense, it reminds me to Heroine (although I find Heroine sweeter). She's like Heroine's bigger, badder sister. You know, the kind that Heroine calls upon for back up.

Zebra Heliconian is a sophisticated green floral. I don't really get coconut or coffee, but I get the opium tar, vetiver, ambergris, clary sage, and hint of lemon. It's sort of warm, but sort of cool, gender neutral, and with a clean musky vibe to it. I'm actually enjoying this much more than I anticipated. It might actually be bottle-worthy for me.

Creamy rose. On wet, the smell was actually kinda overwhelming. Afterwards it lingers like a light creamy vanilla with a touch of rose.
-
Patchouli, dark musk, hint of sweetness. I don't really get cacao out of this. Dark, musky, patchouli.
-
Ginger, saffron and vanilla cream. It's fizzy, spicy, sour and creamy all at the same time. Especially on wet. The ginger on me is particularly predominant. It's like it comes out and bats you in the nose and face. (Hee. Puns.) I find it much more wearable on the drydown. Ginger, creamy, spicy.
-
Sweet orchid, hint of melon sweetness and incense. My skin eats this up.
-
Heavy, aggressive dirty patchouli and sandalwood. It's an odd mix - the sandalwood gives it a clean edge, the patchouli smells dirty and kinda furry. Masculine, heavy, aggressive.
-
Fig, vanilla, pear, and a hint of quince. This is a very figgy/fruity blend. It's a little odd, and I think that may be the chocolate coming through. I'm very torn on this being too sweet, or actually kinda wearable.
-
Tangerine and vanilla cream. This is citrusy and super sweet. It's got a creamy vanilla to edge. Like a Dreamsicle candy.

Hrm, having tried all of the Salon at some point, the ones that stand out in my mind are: Lantern Ghost of Oiwa Bat Garden Path with Chickens I enjoyed both Bat-Woman and Silence, but both were discontinued.... I've been meaning to re-try the Cup of Death, as I remember that being an excellent peach/sandalwood blend. Oh, decisions.
-
Pink pepper, honey and beeswax. On wet, it had a highly aggressive, dry heat, slightly spicy hot desert quality like Sunbird and one of the other Egyptian protos (Set, Sekhmet?). As it dries, I can smell some of the components more distinctively. Hot, aggressive, sweet honey. Honey with a bite.
-
Cucumber, ozone and a tinge of smoke. As it dries, it gets warmer and the musk comes out more, the cucumber recedes, and I get a more musky sweet blend, with hints of melon and ozone. It's an odd mix of warm musk, smoke, and sweet. I really don't know what to do with it.
-
Lemon, plus hints of iris and currant. As it dries, the iris and white musk become more predominant but there is still a wisp of berry sweetness. I am beginning to suspect that my skin does NOT like iris, even though I have an intellectual predilection for it. Lemon Scented Sticky Bat - but more floral, and less lemon.
-
Jasmine + swampy moss. On wet, there's a hint of orange but then it becomes a GIANT jasmine monster, which seems to grab you and drag your skin through a swamp to get to its EVIL jasmine lair. Fortunately, after a few hours, the monster calms down, and its almost tolerable (if you can forget/forgive the entire skin hijacking experience. If you do, you have a more forgiving heart than I do). Verdict: Southern Belle with a perchance for jasmine perfume dragged through the Bayou in need of rescue. I'll take a pass on it.

This one is an effervescent, sort of furry, blend. It's got tendrils of violet and bergamot, anchored by patchouli and ambrette seed. I get a whisp of tobacco and chocolate peppermint. On wet, it's much lovelier and cuddly, but that sort of burns off quickly. Sadly, this sticks close to the skin and two hours later, I can't even tell that I applied any as my skin just eat this up.
