2013 version Egg Nog 2013 you are an odd duck to me. You smell like boozy rum and egg nog on wet, and then dry to a plasticky licorice. WTF? If it had stuck like the wetstage, I'd be a very happy camper!

2013 version Fruity, bitter pom. This has a decent throw, but almost no wearlength on me. 15 minutes later, and its gone.
-
2013 version Sweet, warm frankincense resin. It sort of reminds me of the new Catholic church under Pope Francis. Warm, welcoming, and just nice.

2013 version Cocoa powder that dries down to buttery cacao with a hint of cinnamon. If you like chocolate blends, give this a whirl. It's cozy and warming without being too sweet.
-
2013 version Powdery, citrusy cologne, snow. This one smelled more like a snowy version of a sophisticated male cologne. Maybe my nose is broken? It smelled like snowy woods + citrus cologne. Good throw, decent wear length.

2013 version Red musk and black leather. No dust, no switches. It's not feminine, and its slightly masculine on me. Overall the combination makes it a muskier black leather.

Ah, Skekzok, you lose in this because the other Skeksi that I have just tried SkekTek turned out to be an insta-love. So, take this lackluster review with a boulder of salt, since my nose wants to permaglue itself to SkekTek and isn't so happy to be sniffing at something else. Salty frankincense and opium. Yes, salty. No idea where that is coming from. The nose is refusing to cooperate. ... And that's its boys and girls, that's all you getting. In fact, further reviews for today will just be impossible.

UNF. Skektek you are delicious! On wet, you are a giant hit of passionflower/fruit. In fact, just change your name to passionflower SN. Please. As you dry, I get hints of blackcurrant (which pairs well with your fruitiness), and brings out that purple tinge to the blend. There's a touch of viola, and some sweetness from the myrrh. But to me, you are the STRONGEST PASSION FRUIT SMELLING BPAL EVER. And thus, I must worship at your altar. And buy myself a bottle. STAT!

2013 version This version is definitely more oranges and rum than butter cookie on me. I get hints of almond. So before, I found the butter nauseating, it is much more manageable in this version. Tasty, toothsome, orange cookies.

2013 version Virtually identical to La Pere Fouettard 2005, this smells like black leather and licorice. And a tiny hint of dust. It doesn't smell so much like a leather whip, but definitely black leather. I think the licorice is toned down in this blend. So, if you wanted La Pere Fouettard and missed its original run, or if you are hoarding bottles, go buy this one.

2013 version If I remember correctly, I tried I think Stardust 2005 and it ended up smelling like Charlie on me. This one is less Charlie than its predecessor. On wet, I got a giant hit of opiuim and champagne. And as it dries I get more of the poppy and tobacco flower. So in other words, a slightly more sophisticated version of Charlie. Pretty, and utterly appropriate as a New Year's Eve blend which seems to blend both nostalgia for a bygone era and the giddy enthusiasm for a new year before you forget all your deep pondering thoughts as you go out and dance the rest of the night away.

2013 version I haven't always tested the different itireations of Snow White. I think I tried the 2005 version, and haven't really bothered with it since. Snow White 2013 is very similar with a tropical almond/pineapple except there is no coconut this time around, and with just a bare hint of a chilly white floral. So, a little colder than the original Snow White... but overall, still a tropical blend on me. PASS.

2013 version White, piney, snow and a hint of berries. It's less piney than the original Skadi from 2004, and it veers closer to Ice Queen territory for me. Actually, very similar into Ice Queen 2004 for me except fresher, and with a distinctive pine note. Lovely.

Pears, cinnamon and oats. This one is a warm, fruity, foodie. Honestly, this smells like a pear tartine. It smells EPICALLY DELICIOUS. Fresh baked pear tart. .... I now want either fresh baked apple or pear tarts.

House of Unquenchable Fire Atmosphere Spray

Amber, sweet frankincense and a touch of vanilla. Wow. This smells warm, luxurious, and redolent. Actually I sort of want to spritz myself with it. Sadly mr. zee_zee is neutral on it, which means it would get almost no use in our place, so this may find a better home where it can be properly cherished. -
Okay, so Attraction just arrived, and I couldn't stop myself from trying it. It smells like oranges and herbs. Bright zippy citrus. For me, the smells of citrus is an instant mood lifter. And I always feel like when you're happier, the world is happier. Often times, life is a matter of perspective. ETA: So I wore Attraction a few days ago, and it helped with a personal discussion that helped break down some communication barriers. In a way, I think it attracted the conversation and the resolution, which was deeply helpful to me and the other person.

Progressus smells golden. From the imp, I mostly get honey, heliotrope and amber. On wet, its the honey laurel that is predominant, with amber and saffron... and perhaps a touch of cedar. It's a dark golden blend, and for a strange reason seems a little 'heavy', like it carries some weight to it. I was a big fan of Economic Recovery, which was the 2012 blend.... and they are both very different in feeling. Whereas Economic Recovery smells like old money, and feels like its about money, Progressus feels like it has a broader scope. I may need to find more.

Candlewax and broken in black leather. This is an ominous blend. The one image that popped into my head was Alack Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood's Prince of Thieves. He'd smell like this, worn in leather, with the beeswax adding a bit of sweetness that doesn't cover up the sinister side. So yes, MANLY. But you know what, he makes it LOOK SO GOOD.

Ozoney snow, hint of lavender and dirt. Huh. I actually enjoy this more than I thought I would. It's minty, snowy, and the lavender gives it a pleasant airiness. Do I need more of this?
-
UGH. Coconut, mosses, and dirt. This smells like a dank, underground pit lined with coconut. No thanks.
-
Ocean and willow. It smells aquatic, watery, and with a hint of salt. Pretty, but not for me.
-
2013 version On wet, it has a very strong apple blossom/green scent, and dries to a mix between red and pink roses to me, a very sweet rose actually. Eh, not for me.
